Chapter 91 Matt in Action

As night deepened, Matt skillfully donned his bodysuit, transforming once again into Daredevil.

Today, he is going to do something he never dared to even think about before: kill Kingpin!

As a disciple deeply influenced by the teachings of the Yellow-Eyebrowed Buddha, Matt has already abandoned those past principles—no, they should be called burdens.

Now, he will discard this burden and get rid of Kingpin, this wicked villain, completely.

This would prevent him from using those bureaucrats who colluded with him to escape punishment and get out of prison again.

Matt not only learned the essence of Buddhism from the Yellow-Eyebrowed Buddha, but also learned martial arts from the chanting.

Although he is still far from being able to catch up with Banner, he is, after all, dealing with ordinary muscle-bound men like Kingpin.

Even before studying with Buddha, Matt wouldn't necessarily have lost to him.

As for now? Even if you gave Kingpin one hand, he could kill him in a heartbeat!

Matt's heart pounded like a drum, each step forward seemingly treading on the edge of morality, but he didn't look back. The burdens of the past still lingered, but presumably, killing Kingpin would allow him to completely discard them.

The teachings of the Yellow-Eyebrowed Buddha were a guiding light for his soul, so he chose to interpret that compassion and responsibility towards the world in his own way.

Soon, Matt arrived at the hospital where Kingpin was, and Kingpin was still in the hospital.

Matt moved silently through the hospital corridors, using Daredevil's unique sensory abilities to avoid all security personnel and surveillance cameras.

The hospital was unusually quiet at night, broken only by the occasional sounds of machines running and patients groaning.

Matt quickly found Kingpin in the hospital; he was sitting there, holding something in his hand.

But that's not important; what's important is that he's about to kill Kingpin.

"Daredevil? Get lost, I'm not in the mood for playing cat and mouse with you today."

Kingpin quickly spotted Matt and impatiently waved him away, signaling the bodysuit fanatic to leave if he knew what was good for him.

This impatient behavior, coupled with the cat-and-mouse game in his words, ignited Matt's anger.

Sure enough, I was a complete idiot in the past!

What I thought were righteous actions in the past were nothing more than a game in the eyes of these bullies.

"Kingpin, do you think I'll still let you manipulate me like you used to?"

Matt's voice was deep and powerful, each word seemingly squeezed out from between his teeth, full of anger and determination.

"Today, I have only one purpose in coming here: to end your life of crime."

Upon hearing this, Kingpin's lips curled into a disdainful smile, as if mocking Matt's overestimation of his abilities.

"Daredevil, you think you can defeat me? Don't forget, I'm Kingpin, the king of New York's underworld!"

"Defeat? No, no, no, I came here specifically to kill you."

Matt's words immediately stunned Kingpin.

He opened his eyes wide and stared intently at Daredevil, as if he were meeting him for the first time.

"You mean, you're planning to kill me?"

King asked the question in disbelief. He couldn't believe that Daredevil, who would rather die than kill a single person and was only determined to send his defeated enemies to prison, would actually ask to kill him today.

For a moment, he thought he had misheard.

But Matt did not hesitate at all; his heart was filled with determination and resolve.

He nodded slowly, his voice calm and clear: "Yes, Kingpin, the crimes you have committed are countless. Today is the day you pay the price for your actions."

After receiving a definite answer, Kingpin opened his eyes wide and took a closer look at Daredevil.

His appearance was similar to usual, but Kingpin always felt a sense of unfamiliarity towards him. In an instant, he understood what was going on.

"How pathetic, Daredevil. Is this the price you have to pay?"

Kingpin said with a smile. Matt couldn't understand what Kingpin was laughing about, but this arrogant behavior only made him angrier.

"Kingpin, you..."

"Wait, Daredevil, don't make a move yet."

Kingpin stopped Matt from rushing over to fight him to the death. He looked tenderly at Vanessa in the ward and then said.

"Daredevil, we can't fight here. My wife is still in critical condition. We can't let the fighting affect her. If we have to fight, let's find another place."

Even if you no longer follow the old rules, you wouldn't go so far as to lay a hand on a seriously injured woman, would you?

"Alright, Kingpin, I agree, but you must come with me to a place where we won't hurt anyone."

Kingpin nodded, seemingly unsurprised by Matt's decision.

"As you wish, Daredevil, but remember, this does not mean I have given up the fight."

The two left the ward, walked through the quiet hospital corridor, and arrived at a relatively secluded rooftop.

The moonlight cast a chilling glow, adding to the tense atmosphere of the impending duel.

Kingpin slowly raised his hand, and a dark blue flame suddenly surged in his palm. It was the Tzeentch Blue Flame he controlled, a magical fire capable of distorting reality and corroding everything.

He sneered, seemingly brimming with confidence in the fight: "Daredevil, you think you can beat me with your meager fists? Look at these flames, they'll devour everything!"

Matt was taken aback. He hadn't expected Kingpin to possess magic. This shouldn't be the case, as there was no information in his records that Kingpin could use magic.

However, Matt showed no fear. Through the teachings of the Yellow-Eyebrowed Buddha and his own cultivation, his body had become exceptionally strong, his muscles as hard as steel, and his movements agile and powerful.

He took a deep breath, his muscles tensed, and with a flash, he dodged Kingpin's first wave of fire attacks like a ghost.

Kingpin's eyes flashed with surprise upon seeing this, but he quickly regained his composure. He began to chant an ancient incantation in a low, powerful voice, as if it could penetrate one's soul.

As the incantation began, Matt suddenly felt dizzy, and the surrounding scenery began to distort and deform, as if the whole world was collapsing.

But he quickly adjusted his breathing, concentrated his mind, and used his willpower to resist the intrusion of the treacherous and rebellious words.

"Kingpin, your magic is ineffective against me!"

Matt roared, his body bursting with astonishing power as he charged toward Kingpin, throwing a punch that whistled through the air.

Although Kingpin dodged in time, he was still hit by the force of the punch and staggered.

"Kingpin, although I don't know how you learned magic, your time ends here today."

Matt tensed up, preparing to attack again, when suddenly his head spun again, followed by several gunshots!
