Bro, you handle the camera work, I'll take care of the female lead.

The final scene of "Old Boys" has officially begun filming.

An old-fashioned talent show stage.

The stage was brightly lit.

Chen Fei wore a white shirt, while Wang Taili wore a black coat over a white shirt and black trousers—a classic Michael Jackson look.

offstage.

The group of extras who had come spontaneously looked excitedly at the stage.

Zhang Ruoyun and Guo Kai.

Jing Tian, Chu Yuxun, Jiao Junyan, Lu Shan, Chai Biyun...

The lighting on stage was just right.

The Rembrandt composition, with its light shining directly on Chen Fei's face, creates a triangular highlight on his cheeks, while the shadows on the sides of his nose and under his eyes make his features appear more three-dimensional.

After this shot was filmed, the main light in front was removed, and a side beam shone from Chen Fei's back.

A layer of golden gauze draped over Chen Fei's back, making his features appear even softer and more profound in the shadows.

Because the music was dubbed in post-production, Chen Fei was actually just lip-syncing in this scene.

Once.

Twice.

Three times.

Finally, on the third take, Guo Fan excitedly shouted into the walkie-talkie, "Good, pass!"

Chen Fei and Wang Taili exchanged a glance and breathed a long sigh of relief.

The staff members on site also hugged each other excitedly.

"It's finally over!"

"My goodness, I'm exhausted these days."

"Who can stand filming like this every day?"

"Only Director Guo and the producer are in good physical condition."

"I'm going to sleep all day tomorrow."

The plot of "Old Boys" is very solid.

Although it's only forty minutes long, the plot unfolds in a way that's just as compelling as a 100-minute movie.

Almost every shot in the film advances the plot and shapes the characters.

Therefore, during filming, none of the staff had time to rest.

The workload of working ten or more hours a day puts a great challenge to the physical and mental health of the staff.

However, Guo Fan's physical abilities can be described as abnormal.

He not only worked on set during the day, but also personally organized the film materials and oversaw the post-production editing of the film after his shift ended.

It's finally over, and all the staff look radiant!

Chen Fei, Wang Taili, and Han Qiuchi expressed their gratitude warmly.

"Hehe, Producer Chen, Director Guo, thank you for your trust."

"Let's keep in touch."

"Don't worry, I definitely won't forget."

"We'll be going now. Call us if you need anything later."

"OK."

With this, all the pre-production filming for the movie has officially wrapped up!

...

It's 10:30 p.m.

The film crew's hotel.

Chen Fei and Guo Fan are organizing the filming footage.

"40 yuan for filming, how much was spent on the initial filming?" Guo Fan asked abruptly.

Chen Fei glanced at the filming costs and laughed, "It cost a little more than I budgeted, 170,000. However, the original budget of 200,000 was increased to 400,000, so the film's expenses are still kept within a good range."

"23 for post-production? I've never fought a battle with such a high budget before," Guo Fan grinned.

"Keep up the good work, there will be plenty of battles like this in the future."

Chen Fei smiled slightly.

Guo Fan grunted in response, and just then the hotel door was suddenly pushed open.

Zhang Ruoyun and the others pushed open the door and walked in.

Behind her were Chu Yuxun, Jing Tian, Jiao Junyan, and other alumni of the Beijing Film Academy.

"Why are you guys here? Didn't I tell you to go to a late-night snack shop first?" Chen Fei asked with a smile.

Zhang Ruoyun spread her hands and complained to Chen Fei, "I wanted to go too, but all those beautiful girls came for you. They insisted on seeing you at the hotel first. What could I do?"

Jiao Junyan smiled elegantly: "Congratulations, juniors and seniors."

Jing Tian smiled brightly and sweetly, "If the budget is not enough, just tell me and I will add some to it for you."

Chen Fei laughed and said, "You trust me that much? What if I go bankrupt and can't pay it back?!"

Lushan winked and said, "Of course, it'll be repaid with my body~~~"

Chai Biyun jokingly added, "And it's the kind where you pay per session."

Except for Chu Yuxun, the others burst into laughter.

Jing Tian blushed and glared at the two of them: "If you keep talking nonsense, I'll expose all your secrets."

Upon hearing this, the two immediately became obedient.

Chu Yuxun gripped the hem of her long dress with her small hands, looked at Chen Fei expectantly, and blinked her bright, moist eyes: "Class monitor, let's go together."

Just as Chen Fei was about to speak, Guo Fan, who was organizing the materials, looked up and smiled, "Why don't you go have some late-night snacks with them first? I'll come over as soon as I've finished organizing these things."

You've been filming hard these past few days, so take a good rest. Leave the editing and color grading to me.

"Are you feeling alright?!" Chen Fei asked with concern.

Guo Fan smiled and waved his hand: "I'm in good health. I used to work overtime a lot when I was at the TV station."

"Okay, we'll go first. If you can't come, I'll pack some for you and bring it back later."

"it is good."

Chen Fei and his friends walked out of the hotel room chatting and laughing, and went downstairs to have a late-night snack.

...

In late October in Beijing, the evening breeze carried a hint of coolness, but it couldn't dispel the warm, lively atmosphere on the street corner.

The barbecue stall was set up under the streetlights, with charcoal burning brightly in the tin grill. Orange-red flames licked the meat skewers on the iron skewers, sizzling and dripping with oil.

The dripping oil sizzled on the charcoal fire, sending up wisps of smoke carrying a smoky aroma, mixed with the spiciness of cumin and chili powder, which wafted straight into people's nostrils.

A barbecue restaurant not far from the filming location.

Chen Fei, Zhang Ruoyun, Jing Tian, Chu Yuxun, and Jiao Junyan sat around a table.

The table was covered with various meat skewers and drinks.

Zhang Ruoyun picked up a skewer of grilled, juicy kidneys and handed it to Chen Fei: "Here, you've worked hard these past few days. I specially ordered these kidneys for you to help you recover."

And these oysters and chives, I prepared them especially for you, so don't waste all the effort I put into them.

Chen Fei laughed and scolded, "Get lost! You're the one who needs to make up for it!"

Jing Tian was drinking AD calcium through a straw when she chuckled.

Her bright, delicate eyebrows instantly curved into a line.

Chu Yuxun turned her beautiful big eyes and looked at Chen Fei and the sizzling skewers in front of him with curiosity.

Jiao Junyan, Chai Biyun, and the others smiled but remained silent.

His eyes were full of mockery.

Guo Kai smiled and came to Chen Fei's rescue: "By the way, have you heard? Li Shaohong's 'Dream of the Red Chamber' is coming to our school to cast actors soon."

Lu Shan immediately became interested: "Where did you get this information?! Didn't Teacher Li Shaohong organize some kind of online audition? Why is she coming to our school again?"

"My agent told me that the preparation time was very long, and Li Shaohong put a lot of effort into preparing this version of 'Dream of the Red Chamber'," Guo Kai revealed with a smile.

Jiao Junyan laughed and poured cold water on the idea: "I heard from Mimi that the main actors for this TV series have basically been decided internally, and the remaining supporting roles are still under discussion."

Upon hearing this, most of the people's interest vanished instantly.

Li Shaohong is the boss of Rongxinda, and Yang Mi is a contracted artist of Rongxinda.

Yang Mi didn't even get the lead role.

Others can forget about getting good roles.
