Traveling Through Journey to the West: I Am the Dragon King

After listening to King Yu's explanation of feng shui, Yun Chonghua thought of a crucial question.

He asked, "If the leaked human energy is taken away by others due to changes in the earth's ley lines, will it disappear? And how can we reclaim the fortune that is equally distributed among everyone's bloodline?"

In response to Yun Chonghua's question, King Yu replied, "Of course it won't disappear. The energy of humanity is eternal. Although it has attached itself to others and been stored in the dragon veins, the energy of humanity resonates with each other. Others who have been tainted by the energy of humanity don't have your fortune; their lifespan is no more than a hundred years. After they die, this energy will return to the dragon veins. Therefore, the Nine Provinces Cauldron is the key to opening these nine earth veins and obtaining this portion of the power of humanity."

Yun Chonghua nodded and said, "I see. I understand the function of the Nine Provinces Cauldron. But what exactly is this 'Nine-Five Supreme Formation' feng shui array?"

King Yu continued, "The Nine-Five Supreme Feng Shui Formation was not originally part of the plan; it was merely a supplement to the Nine Cauldrons Plan. However, speaking of this matter, we must mention that bastard Gonggong! During the great calamity of heaven and earth, although the waters of the Milky Way fell upon the human world, they were distributed evenly across the land. While there were floods in various regions, they were not serious. With a little management, the people in each region were safe."

"But this peaceful period lasted until the great battle between Gonggong and Emperor Zhuanxu for power. Although Gonggong had human blood, his ancestors were gods. He was born with great strength. Even though the leaders of the various vassal states had already elected Emperor Zhuanxu as the ruler of the world, he was still unconvinced. Emperor Zhuanxu won the hearts of the people and used the power of humanity to activate the power of the Xuanyuan Divine Sword to defeat Gonggong."

"After Gonggong was defeated, he was dissatisfied and went to Buzhou Mountain to try to return to the Heavenly Realm and ask the gods for help. But he was refused by the gods and immortals. He was resentful and struck Buzhou Mountain with his head, causing the pillar of heaven to collapse. This caused the sky to tilt to the northwest and the earth to sink to the southeast. All the floods on the earth rushed into our Chinese land."

"This is also why later emperors tried to control the floods. But the raging floods were beyond human control. Even when my father brought the divine stone, the Breath of Earth, he was still unable to completely tame the floods. In the end, my father, Gun, committed a grave mistake and was executed by Emperor Shun on Mount Yu."

"I was appointed by Emperor Shun, and by my father's dying wish, to continue to control the floods that were ravaging our sacred land of China. I pondered for a long time, but still could not find a solution. However, I later discovered that instead of trying to block the floods, it would be better to guide them and make them part of this great feng shui formation."

"So I led the Chinese people to open up mountains and repair rivers. Then I applied the five Emperors' Qi that I inherited to them, and finally successfully tamed these five water dragons. They formed fourteen dragon veins and completed the 'Nine-Five Supreme' Feng Shui formation on the land of China."

After listening, Yun Chonghua said, "So the fourteenth of China..."

That's how the dragon vein came about.

"Indeed, these eighteen streams of human destiny are thus divided into four human veins, five water veins, and nine earth veins. The nine human and water veins are shared by generations of human emperors. The extent to which they are distributed depends entirely on the emperor's virtue. The nine most important earth veins are suppressed by the Nine Cauldrons. And the 'tribute gold' used to forge the Nine Cauldrons comes from the array eyes of those nine earth veins."

"But I am not the only one who protects the land veins of the Nine Provinces. After the Nine Provinces Cauldron was made, the Goddess Nuwa used the method of binding spirits to attach the primordial spirits of the eight rightful successors of the human emperors: Emperor Fuxi, Emperor Xuanyuan, Emperor Shennong, Emperor Hao, Emperor Zhuanxu, Emperor Ku, Emperor Yao, and Emperor Shun. After arranging my final affairs, I also entered the Ji Province Cauldron, which truly completed the Nine Provinces Cauldron."

Yun Chonghua exclaimed in surprise, "The Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors of ancient times are still alive today!"

King Yu nodded and said, "Yes. The nine of us possess the Nine Cauldrons to test whether the successor of humanity is qualified. If the other party is truly a virtuous and righteous person, we will entrust him with the fortune contained in the Nine Cauldrons, so that he can become a wise ruler and the master of the human world."

However, at this point, King Yu sighed, "It's a pity that my rebellious son was wicked. Originally, the world belonged to all people, and the ruler of the world should be a virtuous person who is supported by all. But he turned it into a 'family-run world,' and for the next few hundred years, the throne of the human emperor was held by my family."

"Later emperors mostly had only selfish desires for their own rule, and no public heart to protect the people. They not only treated the people as worthless weeds, but also engaged in extravagant construction projects and indulged in debauchery. They even committed the shameful and heinous act of human sacrifice! This caused the human spirit to decline sharply. Even the three divine artifacts of the emperor lost their power and were lost abroad."

Upon hearing about the "Three Divine Artifacts of the Human Emperor," Yun Chonghua immediately became interested.

Yun Chonghua asked, "The Three Divine Artifacts of the Human Emperor? Which three are they? Is the Xuanyuan Divine Sword among them?"

King Yu nodded and said, "Of course there are. The Three Divine Artifacts of the Human Emperor are three supreme treasures of humanity left behind by the three ancient emperors. One is the Fuxi Qin, made by the goddess Nuwa herself and used by Emperor Fuxi to tame demons. Another is the Shennong Cauldron, which Emperor Shennong used to taste hundreds of herbs to refine medicine and save the world. And the third is the Xuanyuan Sword, which was bestowed upon Emperor Xuanyuan by the gods when he fought against Chiyou."

"It's a pity that these three treasures, due to the moral failings of later emperors and the great decline of human power, have become mortal objects and fallen into slumber, disappearing without a trace. Even I don't know their whereabouts. However, if you are truly dedicated to reviving humanity and protecting the human world, and if you resonate with the other streams of human fortune, you might be able to sense the location of those three divine artifacts and restore their power."

However, at this point, King Yu cautioned, "But you must never become like that stubborn and foolish Emperor Xin. He possessed most of the scattered human destiny, and he was only half a step away from obtaining the complete human destiny. Unfortunately, this man was stubborn and self-willed, and in the end, he could only end up burning himself to death."

Yun Chonghua asked, "Di Xin? I've heard his story. In the past, during the Great Tribulation of the Investiture of the Gods, the Zhou Dynasty rose and the Shang Dynasty fell. The Three Pure Ones and the Jade Emperor set up the Investiture of the Gods, appointing 365 righteous gods to maintain order in the Three Realms. But I didn't expect him to possess most of the power of humanity. He must have been a virtuous and righteous person..."

Upon hearing this, King Yu scoffed disdainfully and continued, "This man is indeed virtuous, but lacks morality. And though he possesses virtue, it is not the way of humanity, but rather 'my way.' When Emperor Xin first ascended the throne, he had a virtuous wife to assist him at home and wise ministers to support him on the outside. He abolished human sacrifice and promoted agriculture and sericulture, which indeed restored some of the lost spirit of humanity. In the early years of his reign, the world was at peace, the people lived in tranquility, the four barbarian tribes submitted, and all directions paid tribute. It is precisely because of this that we saw his virtue and virtuousness, and thus bestowed upon him the full power of the Nine Tripods."

"It's a pity we misjudged him. After gaining the power of humanity, this person thought himself unparalleled in the world. Not only did he develop the ambition to rival heaven and earth and be the sole ruler, but he even wrote obscene poems to blaspheme the goddess Nuwa when he went to offer incense at Nuwa's Palace. Nuwa is the mother of humankind, our common mother. How can a villain who harbors lustful thoughts towards his own mother have any virtue?"
