"Wang Chuan, come in!" Director Niu opened the office door and stood at the doorway, calling out to Wang Chuan.

Wang Chuan agreed and immediately got up and jogged into the director's office. Upon entering, he found Pan Jinlian there as well.

"Wang Chuan, we need to confirm the address of the defendant company in one of Xiao Pan's cases. You and Xiao Pan will go there together. Xiao Pan will explain the details to you," Director Niu said, looking at Wang Chuan and Pan Jinlian.

"Thank you, Director!" Pan Jinlian said with a beaming smile.

"Just go take a look, be careful!" Director Niu said with a smile.

What does this mean? Is this an order to send me on a reconnaissance mission?! And there's danger involved? Wang Chuan understood instantly.

After leaving the director's office, Pan Jinlian smiled and said, "Senior Brother, we're counting on you this time."

"What's going on?" Wang Chuan asked, frowning.

"In a contract dispute case I'm handling, the defendant is an educational institution that recently moved from its registered address. The client gave us a new address and wants us to go and check it out," Pan Jinlian said.

"Is this address reliable?" Wang Chuan asked Pan Jinlian.

"We're not sure, so the client wants us to come and take a look," Pan Jinlian said. "We'll leave after lunch. I've already checked on Baidu; it takes about an hour to get there from the law firm."

After everyone had lunch together, Pan Jinlian urged Wang Chuan to leave. Wei Ping glanced at her senior brother and Pan Jinlian, frowned almost imperceptibly, and then continued to rest on the table.

Pan Jinlian's mouth was like a wound-up toy the whole way, never stopping. The supporting actor, Wang Chuan, just kept nodding, repeating "uh-huh," "ah," and "yes!"

After getting off the bus, Pan Jinlian checked the address and, confirming that it was the office building in front of her, strode inside, only to be stopped by Wang Chuan.

"Shall we go in and check? Should we enter the company?" Wang Chuan asked in a low voice.

"Of course we have to go in, otherwise how can we be sure!?" Pan Jinlian had a "you think so?" look on her face.

"If you go in, have you thought of an excuse? The defendant is an overseas education agency, so you'd better have a plan in mind!" Wang Chuan said solemnly.

"I told them I was going abroad to study and wanted to ask for advice," Pan Jinlian said.

"Um, where are you planning to go?" Wang Chuan asked.

Uh… Pan Jinlian backed down. She really hadn’t thought that much about it.

"Alright, just listen to me from now on. Just agree to whatever I say. Do you understand how to cooperate?" Wang Chuan said, looking at her.

Pan Jinlian nodded quickly; she was eager to avoid using her brain.

Upon entering the office building, Wang Chuan glanced at the company information boards on each floor. The education company's name wasn't listed, so it seemed he'd have to visit in person.

"Who are you two looking for? Do you have an appointment?"

When Wang Chuan and Pan Jinlian arrived at the entrance of a company based on the information given by the client, a middle-aged woman in a business suit with a ponytail walked over and asked them a question.

"This is my younger sister. I came with her to inquire about studying abroad," Wang Chuan said, pointing to Pan Jinlian with a smile. "Is this XX Education Company?"

Upon hearing this, the girl with the ponytail's eyes lit up: "Yes! We just moved here not long ago, we haven't even put up the logo yet! Do you have a designated study abroad consultant?"

Wang Chuan and Pan Jinlian shook their heads.

"Okay, I can be your advisor. Can I add you on QQ? You can contact me directly if you need anything in the future," the girl with the ponytail said excitedly.

"Excuse me, could you please provide us with an introduction to your company? We'd like to learn more about it first," Wang Chuan asked while Pan Jinlian and the woman with the ponytail were adding each other as QQ friends.

"Sure! Please have a seat here, I'll go get you the documents."

After finishing her explanation, the woman with the ponytail led Wang Chuan and the other man to a table inside and sat them down. Then she went into a small room separated by a large glass partition. Wang Chuan guessed that the small room was her office.

Wang Chuan glanced around. The company wasn't large, only about 200 square meters, and had about a dozen employees. Some were on the phone, and some were typing on keyboards, creating a busy scene.

After taking the documents from the woman with the ponytail, Wang Chuan glanced at them. The first page of the documents had the company name, and there was a line of small print at the bottom of the page with the company's address. Wang Chuan checked and confirmed that it was the current address.

Since they're here, they should at least make a show of it, ask some questions, and find out the prices. Although their real intentions may not be the wine, they still have to do what they're supposed to do.

About half an hour later, Pan Jinlian and Wang Chuan got up to say goodbye. The woman with the ponytail, wearing a fake professional smile, escorted the two to the elevator.

"Actually, I know you two aren't siblings!" the girl with the ponytail whispered to Pan Jinlian while waiting for the elevator.

Upon hearing this, Pan Jinlian's heart raced, and her expression changed slightly. Had she been exposed? She looked at Wang Chuan with fear in her eyes.

Wang Chuan also heard what the girl with the ponytail said. He glanced at Pan Jinlian and shook his head slightly. Little Pan is still too naive!

"So what is our relationship?" Wang Chuan asked with a calm smile.

"You two are a couple! I guessed right! It's okay, many of the people who come here for study abroad consultations are couples, all planning to study abroad together." After saying this, the woman with the ponytail looked at Wang Chuan and said seriously, "I suggest you study abroad with her. This is purely personal advice, for your reference only!"

Wang Chuan nodded; it seemed to make some sense.

Once inside the elevator, Pan Jinlian released Wang Chuan's arm. Wang Chuan turned his head and glanced at her awkwardly.

"What are you looking at! Don't overthink it. I'm just playing along with you. If you dare to think any further, I'll give you a good 'Ikkyu-san'!" Pan Jinlian felt her face getting hot, and her eyes widened, revealing her fiery nature.

"Ikkyu-san? What Ikkyu-san?" Wang Chuan was completely bewildered. What did this have to do with Ikkyu-san?

"How about I ask my dad to arrange something for you?" Pan Jinlian said with a wicked smile, "Hmph! You dare to take advantage of me! You little punk!"

"I wouldn't dare! I like tofu with scallions, not spicy tofu!" Wang Chuan grinned.

"Spicy tofu?" Pan Jinlian was taken aback, pondering Wang Chuan's meaning, when the elevator doors opened and Wang Chuan immediately darted out.

"Wang Chuan!!..." Pan Jinlian's low growl and rapid footsteps came from behind Wang Chuan.
