The blood-stained patch in his right sleeve bumped against his wrist bone. Mo Chengyue turned his head and coughed twice, covering his lips with the back of his fist, which also concealed the dark red mark on the base of his palm.

Xie Buci stood with his back to the high-altitude wind, a white jade cup hovering in front of his lips, the whispered words still ringing in his ear.

Mo Chengyue suppressed his cough into two short sounds and sent a mental message back: "The Yama's tent of the External Affairs Hall."

Xie Buci lightly touched the rim of his cup to his teeth, his peach blossom eyes narrowed by half an inch, and then he shifted his gaze back to Yunlu.

The message came back again: "The account name is unlucky, don't spread it out yet."

Mo Chengyue replied, "If you ask one less question, I can live another half a day."

Xie Buci said, "Alright, the patient is being stubborn, so we'll keep the medicine for now."

Three white porcelain bottles rolled out from Xie Buci's sleeve, their bottoms adorned with peach blossom patterns. They stopped in front of Mo Chengyue's knees, avoiding the white silk.

Qin Wanzhuang raised her eyes.

"Did it come from a clean source?"

Xie Buci swished the wine glass between his fingers.

"Second Junior Sister, this method of asking questions is harmful. I always use spirit stones to buy medicine."

"The Peach Blossom Spring?"

"I got it from the Qingquan Peak warehouse. I ran errands for my master last month and picked up three portions along the way."

"smoothly?"

"Yes, yes, that word doesn't count."

Mo Chengyue looked down at the wax seal on the bottle opening.

"Healing Vein Ointment, Jade Marrow Pill, Crimson Cloud Hemostatic Powder?"

Xie Buci adjusted his wine glass.

"Junior brother has good taste; these three bottles are enough to buy ten of your crappy cars."

The driver, who was crouching behind the pot, immediately perked up his ears.

"Master, could we include that wrecked car in the ten?"

Qin Wanzhuang looked over.

"Hold on tight."

The coachman tucked his knees back into the rim of the kettle.

"I'll go and sit tight too, and I won't take advantage of the immortal sects."

Shopkeeper Hu carefully protected the white paper lantern, the wick of which became more stable from the fragrance of peach blossoms.

"Let's change Master Mo's dressing first; the edges of his bandage are stained red again."

Qin Wanzhuang reached out and took the pulse-restoring ointment. Her dark sleeves were flattened by the wind, and the calluses on her wrists were clean and neat.

"Right wrist."

Mo Chengyue pulled his sleeves back a little.

"Senior sister, it's windy over the kettle, I'll do it myself."

"I didn't let you choose the place."

"Senior brother is watching."

Xie Buci tactfully turned around to look at the clouds.

"I'll watch the clouds, Second Sister, don't worry, I'll use my eyes sparingly today."

"The lapel of the garment."

"It's gathered up."

Qin Wanzhuang pointed her sword sheath behind him.

"All gathered."

Xie Buci lowered his head and straightened his collarbone.

"The atmosphere on Qingquan Peak is becoming more and more upright, and I, as the senior brother, am under a lot of pressure."

Mo Chengyue was about to reply when the medicine powder had already landed on his old wound on his right wrist.

His Adam's apple rolled halfway around, still carrying the scent of the medicine, and the hilt of the Rain Flower Sword tilted slightly under his palm.

Qin Wanzhuang pressed down on the edge of the medicine cloth.

"Don't move."

"I didn't move."

"The hilt is tilted."

"It's biased on its own."

"The sword won't take the blame for you."

Xie Buci had his back to the two of them, his shoulders swaying slightly.

"Junior brother, you're just like me. You live by talking and you get hurt by lying."

Qin Wanzhuang wrapped the cloth strip around the wound in her hand.

"You've offended my ears."

Mo Chengyue watched as the bandage was tightened, and the heat from the blood patch inside his sleeve gradually receded to his wrist.

"Senior brother, whose tab should I put the three bottles of medicine on?"

Xie did not hesitate to turn back.

"Put it on your tab."

"I don't have any spirit stones."

"You are the money tree of Qingquan Peak, so hang yourself on the branch first."

Qin Wanzhuang flattened the knot in the cloth.

"Record of the public account at Qingquan Peak".

Xie Buci nearly let the cup slip from his fingers.

"Second Junior Sister, you've changed. Before, I had to fix even half a talisman for you."

"He is a wounded soldier."

"Me too."

"You are the expense."

Shopkeeper Hu couldn't resist and swayed the lampshade in his arms.

"Fairy Qin knows how to keep a clear account."

Xie Buci pointed at Manager Hu.

"Manager Hu, don't write that sentence on the offering paper again, it's affecting my lofty image at Qingquan Peak."

"Thank you for your help, Master. I will only write about what I have personally witnessed."

"Then have you ever seen my wisdom?"

"Never seen it before."

The coachman added in a low voice.

"I've been there too, but I've never seen it."

Xie Buci raised his hand and flicked a peach blossom behind the pot.

"The fare will be halved."

The driver immediately grabbed the rim of the kettle.

"I also got something in my mouth from the wind, and I didn't say anything."

The young servant was fixed to the right side of the pot by the door panel, the cloth strip between his teeth was changed once, and the remaining foam at the corner of his mouth was separated by the calming talisman.

He made two muffled calls, the bubbling sounds in his throat muffled by the strip of cloth.

Shopkeeper Hu placed the silver hairpin against the knot of cloth.

"Slow down, don't throw up yet."

The young handyman nodded, his forehead still damp with dried blood.

Mo Chengyue looked over.

"What do you want to ask?"

The young servant squeezed out the words from behind the cloth strip.

"After arriving at the sect, will I be sent to the External Affairs Hall?"

"Who told you to find your way?"

"They will want me."

"Let them get the order."

"What if there's a written order?"

Qin Wanzhuang shoved the medicine bottle back into Mo Chengyue's arms.

"Check the seal, check the signature, check the guarantee."

Xie Buci continued.

"Let's see who dares to swallow someone up in front of Qingquan Peak."

The young servant's eyes darted around anxiously, and the cloth between his teeth became wet.

"I only moved boxes; I didn't copy files, and I didn't steal mission tokens."

Mo Chengyue tapped the edge of the door panel with his sword sheath.

"I'll save these few sentences for later."

"While moving case files, I saw the transfer order. I was knocked unconscious in a back alley and woke up in the cabin of a ship."

"The order is correct."

"What about the water spell?"

"You only need to write down what was poured under your tongue, the taste, and how your throat felt blocked when the attack occurred. The rest will be verified by the talisman master."

The young laborer's throat bobbed, and the cloth strip became damp again.

"I remember."

Shopkeeper Hu moved the white paper lantern half an inch away from his feet.

"Don't add anything you haven't seen before; you'll suffer losses by the water because of adding words."

Mo Chengyue nodded.

"This sentence can be included in the offering paper."

Manager Hu glanced at him.

"I haven't read any books on immortality."

"Handprints are more effective than literary talent."

Xie Buci patted the white jade pot.

"Everyone, please be seated. We're almost at Qingquan Peak."

The driver looked up and saw the clouds receding from both sides of the spout.

"Master, this pot is moving faster than a death knell on the official road."

"It's expensive."

"Does being expensive guarantee faster speed?"

"Is your horse expensive?"

The driver looked at his empty hands and choked up.

"I've learned about it too."

The white jade wine pot passed through two layers of mountain shadows, and the high-altitude wind blew away the lingering poisonous miasma, leaving only the bitter taste of herbs.

In less than half a day, a dark blue boundary marker appeared in front of the cloud gap. The marker was over ten zhang tall, and the mountain gate was suspended in the misty light at an even higher place.

Manager Hu looked up at the boundary marker of the outer sect of the Hehuan Sect. Sweat from his palms slid down the handle of the silver hairpin to the base of his thumb, and the tip of the hairpin poked a small bump into his sleeve.

"Is this the Hehuan Sect?"

Qin Wanzhuang placed the sword case across her lap.

"The outer gate is outside the boundary marker; the inner mountain is behind it."

Manager Hu's throat moved.

"Can I go in and sign the document?"

"No mortals are allowed to enter."

As these words were spoken, the wick of the white paper lantern shifted slightly towards Manager Hu's sleeve.

She glanced down at the lamp, then clenched the silver hairpin back into her hand.

"Will my offering paper be changed once I get into the mountains?"

Mo Chengyue tucked his right wrist back into his sleeve.

"You sign your name in front of the boundary marker, seal the offering paper on the spot, and the seal will pass through Senior Sister Qin's sword fire before being placed into the sealed bag of Qingquan Peak."

"Manager Hu asked."

"What questions would the Foreign Affairs Office have?"

"Ask outside the boundary marker, ask face to face, and remember every question. You cannot enter the inner mountain, nor can they take you away."

Qin Wanzhuang added a sentence.

"Anyone who touches the seal must state their name first."

Xie Buci shook the white jade cup.

"If anyone doesn't give their name, I'll name them."

The driver raised his hand.

"Can I sign the document too?"

Mo Chengyue looked at him.

"You write about poisonous miasma, rotten horses, wrecked carriages, the Mountain Patrol Hall, and the White Jade Pot, but you don't write about what's inside the mountain gate."

"I went inside the mountain gate but didn't see it."

"right."

"That money to save your life?"

"Return to Qingquan Peak to record the accounts."

Xie Buci turned his head away.

"Another one?"

Qin Wanzhuang looked at him.

"You come and bail them out."

"My master told me to rescue people, not to collect debts."

"You just said he's a money tree."
