Mo Chengyue paused for a moment on the hilt of the Yuhua sword with his fingertips.

"Master's exact words?"

Xie Buci laughed so hard his shoulders swayed slightly.

"There was one more sentence in the original quote."

Qin Wanzhuang asked.

"What?"

Xie Buci imitated that lazy tune.

"Bring him back. Don't let him die outside. If he dies outside, we'll have to send someone to collect his body, which is such a hassle."

The driver's eyelids twitched upon hearing this.

"The master and disciples of the immortal sect speak so intimately."

Manager Hu looked at Mo Chengyue.

"Your way of protecting your own at Qingquan Peak is quite frugal."

Mo Chengyue replied softly.

"The key is to retrieve the bodies, not to collect them."

Qin Wanzhuang sheathed her sword half an inch.

"Shut up, change the dressing."

Xie Buci immediately stepped aside.

"Second Junior Sister has spoken, so you should listen to her, Junior Brother. Her sword sheath is used much more frequently than Master's pillow."

Qin Wanzhuang glared at him.

"You shut up too."

Xie Buci raised his hand to his lips and sealed them with a peach petal, which fell from his fingertips.

Luo Qi knelt with mud and water soaking his clothes, his voice squeezed out from between his teeth.

"If Senior Brother Xie takes them away, the Mountain Patrol Hall will have no way to explain it to the External Affairs Hall."

Xie Buci finally turned around and faced him.

"Who told you to report to the Foreign Affairs Office?"

Luo Qi looked up.

"This matter involves the Foreign Affairs Office."

"This matter is related to the attack on Qingquan Peak."

As Xie Buci's sleeves unfurled peach blossoms, the scorch marks on the official road were encircled by the petals, and the members of the Xunshan Hall, along with Xun Kongsuo, were all enveloped in a pink and white mist.

"You stay here, seal off the site of the poisonous miasma, return the records from the patrol mirror to the temple, and retrieve the spiritual messages from the external affairs hall exactly as they were."

Luo Qi's face turned pink from the peach blossom miasma, and sweat kept dripping from his forehead.

"You intend to trap the disciples of the Mountain Patrol Hall?"

"It's not that we're trapped, it's that we're being protected."

Xie Buci smiled and corrected him.

"The poisonous miasma hasn't completely dissipated. Your legs are weak, and you're likely to fall into a ditch if you wander around."

Qian Shan held the patrol mirror and tried to speak.

"Brother Xie, if we seal off the scene according to the hall rules, could we send a message to the hall?"

"pass."

Xie Buci raised his hand and pointed at him.

"It is written that Qin Wanzhuang and Mo Chengyue of Qingquan Peak were ambushed on their way back to the sect with the evidence. Luo Qi of the Xunshan Hall arrived at the scene but failed to obtain the evidence. Now Xie Buci has taken over the escort, and the rest of the people have sealed off the scene."

Qian Shan looked at Luo Qi.

Luo Qi moved his lips for a long time, but no words came out.

Xie Buci added a sentence.

"One more thing: Luo Qi is temporarily unable to walk due to poisonous miasma affecting his knees."

The driver peeked out of the car.

"I'll also put my handprint here."

Manager Hu tugged at his sleeve.

"Don't take advantage of the immortal sects."

Xie Buci glanced at the white paper lantern in Manager Hu's hand, and the playfulness in his peach blossom eyes faded somewhat.

"Are you Manager Hu of Hongfeng Ferry?"

Shopkeeper Hu held the lamp protectively in front of his chest.

"Yes."

"The evidence and the person are to be handed over to Qingquan Peak for escort."

Shopkeeper Hu's fingertips gripped the lamp handle, and the pads of his fingers were pressed into shallow marks by splinters.

"I only recognize the seal of Fairy Qin, the offering written by Master Mo, and what I have personally witnessed."

Xie Buci nodded.

"It's acceptable."

Qin Wanzhuang immediately looked at him.

"Don't follow my example."

Xie Buci shrugged.

"Second Junior Sister, those two words of yours are useful."

Qin Wanzhuang's sword sheath was only half an inch away from the tip of his boot.

Xie Buci took a step back.

"Okay, I'll change it."

He raised his hand toward the white jade wine pot, and the peach blossom branch hanging from the spout stretched out in front of the carriage door. The branches formed a wide ladder, and the petals were thickly laid out, without a speck of mud or water on them.

"Gentlemen, please bring the teapot."

The coachman looked up at the white jade pot, his throat bobbing twice.

"Master, is this pot stable?"

Xie Buci patted the body of the teapot.

"It's three hundred times more expensive than your carriage."

The driver immediately stood up, but Qin Wanzhuang's gaze made him pull his foot back.

"I'll go wait for the gas to dissipate too."

Mo Chengyue looked at the two rotten horses.

"The coachman's horse fee is recorded in Qingquanfeng's account."

I thank you for not turning my head away.

"You're quite good at spending money."

"My senior brother just said I'm a money tree."

Even a money tree needs to survive first.

Qin Wanzhuang lifted the sword box, and the seal gleamed in the firelight.

"The evidence is placed on the pot, and the person and the witness sit separately."

Xie Buci raised his sleeve, and two more peach blossom branches stretched out.

"Second Junior Sister sits on the neck of the pot, with a good view, making it convenient for her to chop me down at any time."

"Shopkeeper Hu, sit on the left side of the pot's belly, so the lamp won't be blown away by the wind."

"Driver, sit in the back and don't touch the wine stains. If you damage them, you won't be able to afford to pay for it even if you sell yourself."

The driver immediately tucked both hands into his sleeves.

"I won't touch it, I'll go look at it but I'll look at it less."

Xie Buci looked at the young servant.

"Move the door panel up together, but don't remove the gag from its mouth."

The young man nodded, his hair still smeared with blood, his shoulders and back still hunched over the door.

Manager Hu held onto one corner of the door panel.

"I'm looking at him."

Just as Mo Chengyue was about to get up, Qin Wanzhuang's sword sheath was already pressed against his chest.

"Sit still."

Xie Buci reached out to support Mo Chengyue's left arm, but upon seeing the bloodstains on the white silk, he switched to supporting his shoulder and back.

"Junior brother, is your hand still salvageable?"

Mo Chengyue used the momentum to get up, his right sleeve trailing a dark red line along the car wall.

"It's usable in the short term, but whether my senior sister will leave me any for the long term depends on her."

Qin Wanzhuang spoke in a cold voice.

"No matter how talkative you are, you'll lose your right hand."

Xie Buci helped him up the peach blossom ladder.

"Did you hear that, Qingquanfeng patient? If you say less, you can save yourself a hand."

Mo Chengyue stepped on the flower petals, but his shoes did not sink in.

"Senior brother, this magic weapon is quite nice."

"like?"

"Would you like to rent it?"

Xie Buci turned his head to look at him.

"You're in this state, and you're still thinking about renting?"

"Professional habits".

Qin Wanzhuang supported the sword case from behind, and the blood jade made a soft sound against the scabbard.

"Mo Chengyue".

Mo Chengyue immediately shut his mouth and landed steadily on the belly of the pot.

Xie Buci waved to Luo Qi, and the peach blossom miasma tightened into a pink and white flower wall, leaving only the patrol mirror in front of Qian Shan still able to transmit messages.

"Junior Brother Luo, don't make any sudden movements before returning to the sect."

Luo Qi knelt inside the flower wall, his clothes hanging down by mud and water, and rubbed his fingertips back and forth on the waist badge.

"Thank you for your explanation, but the Foreign Affairs Office won't listen to you."

Xie Buci stepped onto the spout of the teapot, turned around, and shook the white jade cup at him.

"Then let them come to Qingquan Peak to identify them."

With a gentle shake, the white jade wine pot retracted from the official road, leaving behind a rotten horse, scorch marks, and half a cart shaft.

The driver lay prone behind the pot, his hands clutching a strip of wine, his face pale from the pressure.

"Immortal Master, I'm not going to touch it, I'm going to save my life."

Xie Buci did not turn back.

"You'll have to pay extra if you break it."

The driver loosened his fingers one by one and used his knees to hold the rim of the kettle.

Shopkeeper Hu sat beside the white paper lamp, a silver hairpin lying across the lamp base. The wick, after being scented with peach blossoms, finally stopped shrinking into a bean.

There is no moisture on this pot.

Mo Chengyue leaned against the inside of the pot, the medicine cloth on his right wrist feeling cold from the wind.

"Peach blossoms will keep out the dampness, making the journey more stable."

Qin Wanzhuang sat on the neck of the pot, the sword box lying across her lap, her ponytail blown behind her shoulders by the wind high in the sky.

"Thank you for your help, and I will return directly to Qingquan Peak."

Xie Buci responded listlessly.

"Yes, Second Junior Sister."

Qin Wanzhuang watched his back.

"The lapel of the garment."

Xie Buci lowered his head and pulled his clothes up half an inch further.

"Is that enough?"

"It's acceptable."

"See, I told you it would work well."

Qin Wanzhuang's hand was already on the sword sheath.

Xie Buci immediately changed the subject.

"Junior brother, sit tight."

The wine jug rose into the clouds, and the peach blossom miasma on the official road shrank into small pink and white circles, obscuring the figures of Luo Qi and the others.

A breeze blew through the spout of the teapot, carrying with it the fragrance from Xie Buci's sleeves.

With his back to Qin Wanzhuang, he held a white jade cup to his lips and whispered into Mo Chengyue's ear, "Junior Brother, whose life are you hiding in your right sleeve?"
