The creekside campsite was illuminated as if it were daytime by emergency lights under the cover of night.

The air was filled with the acrid smell of burnt wood ash, the pungent odor of disinfectant, and the fresh scent of damp earth after the rain. A timely artificial rain had just helped extinguish most of the open flames.

Lin Dao had just finished his work and looked around.

Firefighters are still clearing away the embers, their orange fireproof suits standing out vividly under the lights.

Medical personnel moved between the makeshift medical tents, treating injured Pokémon and a few reconnaissance team members who were injured in the conflict, under the initial guidance from the forest trails. Some medical personnel were even treating wild animals from the original world.

The soldiers stood guard on the perimeter while assisting in moving supplies and setting up temporary facilities.

What was most touching were the Pokémon. Some were helping soldiers carry supplies, some were fanning the wounded to cool them down, and some were even helping medical staff suppress rioting wild animals.

At this moment, the boundary between humans and Pokémon becomes blurred.

Three months of fear and estrangement were replaced by the most primal instinct for mutual help in the face of this sudden disaster.

Lin Dao took a deep breath and made a decision.

"Let's start a live stream," he said to Li Hao beside him, his voice calm but unquestionable.

Li Hao paused for a moment, then instinctively looked at Ye Aiguo and several government officials who were coordinating the work not far away.

Should we start broadcasting now? To reveal the disaster that just happened, the ongoing rescue efforts, and even the injured Pokémon and the burned forest to the public?

"Brother Lin, this..." Li Hao hesitated, "Should we ask for permission first..."

Ye Aiguo was just finishing a low-key phone call when he heard this and looked at Lin Dao, his brows furrowing slightly.

Several government civilian staff members responsible for on-site coordination immediately tried to step forward to dissuade them.

Such a sensitive event, involving espionage, a pseudo-legendary Pokémon rampage, military intervention, and a large-scale fire, would normally require the information to be strictly sealed off and released only after layers of review.

But Lin Dao ignored the gestures of the clerical staff and met Ye Aiguo's gaze directly, speaking clearly.

"I believe that the public is paying close attention to everything that happened today, and we must understand the public's concern about information. In order to maintain social stability and public confidence, we must release information in a timely and accurate manner and respond to core concerns. Only in this way can we effectively clarify misunderstandings and prevent the spread of misinformation."

His gaze swept across the bustling rescue site, his voice still clear amidst the noise: "For three months, people have lived in fear—fear of the unknown, fear of the 'monster.' Today's disaster, if handled properly, can be an opportunity for change. Let people see the truth: see the disaster that happened, and also see the response; see the destructive power, and also see the efforts to rebuild, and more importantly..."

He paused, then pointed to a rhyperior that was using its back to help transport the wounded: "Let people see that Pokémon are not monsters; they are lives that can be injured, feel pain, and help others. And that humans and Pokémon can cooperate and save each other."

"This is more reassuring than any cover-up, and it aligns better with the 'understanding and coexistence' philosophy we've always tried to convey."

After listening, Li Hao gritted his teeth, no longer hesitating, and began skillfully assembling the new equipment he had brought: a satellite network terminal, a multi-camera setup, a high-performance microphone, and an ultra-wide-angle drone. Since Brother Lin had made up his mind, he would follow suit!

Several government officials' expressions changed slightly upon hearing this, and they quickly walked over to try and stop him.

An official wearing glasses even approached Ye Aiguo urgently and whispered, "Secretary Ye, this...this is not in accordance with procedure! The nature of the incident is too sensitive, involving..."

But Ye Aiguo raised his hand to stop them, his gaze never leaving Lin Dao.

He hadn't hung up the satellite phone; a deep, slightly hoarse male voice could be faintly heard through the receiver.

After listening to a few words, Ye Aiguo turned on speakerphone.

A calm and authoritative voice came from the satellite phone:

"We will do as Mr. Lin Dao wishes. All personnel on site will cooperate with the live broadcast and will not interfere. Details involving military secrets and investigation will be technically processed, but the basic course of events and the content that Mr. Lin deems appropriate to be made public will be presented truthfully."

He paused, a rare hint of appreciation in his voice:

"You're a young man with courage, a sense of responsibility, and a straightforward approach. I admire your determination to confront problems directly. You deserve immense credit for this incident. I'm Zhang Jiye. Once things settle down here, I look forward to a formal meeting to have a proper chat."

"I also look forward to meeting you," Lin Dao replied politely and earnestly.

Without further hesitation, Li Hao quickly turned on the professional equipment he had just purchased.

Brand-new high-definition cameras capture the campsite, while ultra-wide-angle drones take off to film even deeper into the forest, and satellite links ensure a stable high-definition signal stream even in the wild.

He took a deep breath, gave Lin Dao an "OK" sign, and then pressed the button to start the live stream.

Almost the instant the live stream started, viewers who had been waiting for a long time and were restless because of the unusual events in Chengdu during the day flocked in.

The number of viewers skyrocketed, surpassing one million in just a few minutes, and is still growing at an astonishing rate.

The screen was instantly flooded with comments:

"The streamer is live! Wasn't today a day of suspension?"

"It's here! It's finally open!"

"I'm a local! I was terrified during the day! The alarm went off for ages, and community workers told us all to hide in the subway station!"

"Anchors, are you alright? I only saw in the news that the fire outside the city was under control?"

"Something's definitely up! My friend works at the fire department, and he said the response today was massive, and there were even military personnel involved!"

"My sister works at the city hospital, and she was also urgently called up for a field rescue mission!"

"What on earth happened? How did the forest burn like this?"

"Judging from the background, there are many military firefighters... and injured Pokémon?"

"I'm from out of town, and I've never heard of this!"

"Tell us the truth!"
