Black water, endless black water, surged out of the subway station without warning, instantly engulfing everything around the station, including buildings, vehicles, animals, and people.

People didn't even have time to scream or run away before they were swallowed up by the black waves.

The black water spread rapidly from the subway station, melting everything in its path like snow under the scorching sun, and then merging with the black water to create the scene before us.

A figure descended from the dark clouds. It was a handsome young white man with a somewhat "wicked and arrogant" air. Bai Lin recognized him as Grindelwald in his youth, now known as Gracua.

Grakua's complexion was not good, and he even seemed listless. Bai Lin could sense that he had been severely injured by Yan Nishuang's Nine Dragons Divine Fire Cover, which reduced his soul energy by 90%. Under normal circumstances, it would be difficult for him to recover. He probably intended to use this place as his lair to recuperate.

Colombo is close to some of the world's most densely populated areas, while Sikkim is an extremely obscure country on the international stage, making Gracoua a very wise choice.

But then Bai Lin realized that Grakua's arrival here was not merely a matter of reason.

Gracua chanted an extremely long, unknown incantation in a low voice. Immediately afterwards, countless insect-egg-like organisms surged into the black water. Gracua seemed to exert all his strength, waving his arms and legs and shouting to the heavens, as if he were performing some kind of sacrificial ritual.

The ceremony lasted for about twenty minutes. The black water had piled up hundreds of thousands of "insect eggs" into a small mountain. During Grakua's incantation, the insect eggs burst open, and countless star-like lights converged into a small river, flowing into the original location of the subway station—now a deep pool of black water.

Bai Lin guessed that these specks must be the souls of the Colombo citizens who were swallowed by the black water, a truly tragic and lamentable situation.

"Dark Empire! I summon you to return to the mortal realm!"

Finally, Grakua shouted a sentence in English that Bai Lin could understand. The sudden use of this Earth language startled Bai Lin.

Under the "nourishment" of hundreds of thousands of souls, some strange buildings actually rose up in that terrifying black pool.

Bai Lin frowned, but the summoning encyclopedia was automatically activated by the scene before him, and a record appeared in front of him:

"The Dark Empire floats between reality and the void, a lair where ancient gods slumber and whisper, a forbidden land utterly swallowed by chaos and decay. Here, there is no sun; in the eternal darkness, purplish-black void energy flows like ink, converging into a winding river of putrid liquid on the twisted ground. The surface of the river is covered with shattered celestial debris and petrified giant tentacles, emitting a pungent stench of sulfur and humus."

The earth is not rock, but composed of countless intertwined living hyphae and calcified carapaces. Stepping on it produces a slippery, sticky sound, and occasionally, glowing fungal gills suddenly bloom, revealing wriggling insect eggs inside. The distant "mountains" are the curled limbs of ancient gods, covered with layers of scales and moss. Thick, amber-colored sap seeps from the gaps in the scales, dripping and corroding deep, sizzling pits. The mist from the evaporating sap condenses in the air into twisted runes, speaking incomprehensible whispers of the void.

The city's outline is constructed of living skeletons and obsidian, with spires piercing the darkness like bone spikes. Hanging from the tops are enormous eye-shaped crystals, their surfaces veined and constantly rotating, monitoring the entire area, their pupils flashing with a frenzied red light. The streets are passageways made of biological tissue, the "structures" on either side being pulsating vesicles and open fungal caps. Within the vesicles, one can vaguely see curled-up void creations, and beneath the caps hang glowing spores; inhaling them plunges one into a hallucination dominated by the whispers of ancient gods.

Fine Void dust floats in the air, parasitizing and transforming any living thing it comes into contact with into a twisted monster. Aqir hives are scattered throughout the land, fortified with slime and filaments. Countless worker bees swarm through the tunnels, carrying rotting energy cores and the remains of captured creatures. Occasionally, colossal Void Lords emerge from the void, their bodies composed of shadow and stardust, leaving scorching Void rifts in their wake. From these rifts emerge countless small Void creatures, scattering like ants in all directions.

The central area is the slumbering place of the Ancient Gods, a colossal platform built from countless bones. The Ancient Gods' true forms are half-buried in the humus, their massive tentacles stretching like mountains, their ends piercing deep into the earth to draw energy. Suckers growing from these tentacles cling to glowing fragments of souls, from which faint wails emanate. Surrounding the platform are several twisted altars, burning with green ghostly flames. Within the flames float constantly reforming skeletal runes. Priests of the Aqir race dance around the altars, chanting prayers invoking the power of the Void in hoarse voices. Each chant intensifies the Void energy in the air, causing the surrounding space to distort.

Here, there is no vitality of life, only eternal decay and madness. Every inch of land, every creation, speaks of the void's erosion of reality. It is the darkest and most terrifying forbidden land in the history of the magical world.

This text likely comes from an exploration that summoned the former owner of the building. Although it is somewhat verbose, it gave Bai Lin a general understanding of what Grakua was doing.

The magical world was once invaded by ancient gods, and later expelled and sealed by gods such as the sun god. However, the influence of the ancient gods on the world is too great. Unless the entire world is "formatted" or this magical earth is directly destroyed, it is difficult to completely eliminate the influence of the ancient gods.

Perhaps through "deliberation," the gods finally devised a compromise. They separated the "Dark Empire," created during the ancient gods' reign over the world, from reality, forming a special overlapping space. They added layers of restrictions to prevent the ancient gods' power from leaking out, and even set up an observation point on the moon to observe the changes on Earth.

But at least for now, it seems that the "damage" that Gracoya has done to the Earth has not yet reached the threshold of the gods' judgment, so the "formatting" process has not yet been started, which is also the cleverness of Gracoya.

He harbors ambitions to rule the world and does not wish to destroy Earth, or to quickly bring Hastur down so that he can revert to being a lowly minion under the Old Gods.

But perhaps because he was too badly injured by the Nine Dragons Divine Fire Cover, when Gracoa arrived in Colombo, he was clearly already teetering on the edge of that "judgment threshold".

A strange door carved from obsidian rose up. Gracua stood in front of the door for a few seconds, seemingly taking a few deep breaths, before walking inside.
