Bai Lin raised his hands, but just as Blake's expression relaxed slightly, he swiftly drew his wand and said to Blake's wand, "Expelliarmus!" The incantation for this move was extremely long, but the Chinese version was very short.

To Blake's astonishment, his wand was knocked away and fell into the woodpile beside the fireplace.

Bai Lin shrugged and said, "As you can see, defeating you is a piece of cake for me, but I still want to make it clear that I have no hostility towards you or Harry. I just want to completely eliminate Voldemort."

Black looked at his hand, his face grim. He walked over, picked up his wand, and stuffed it into his pocket. He possessed the pride of the Black family; since Bai Lin had shown mercy, he wouldn't resort to a sneak attack. (In the original story, after the Elder Wand was struck by the Disarming Charm, the wand's owner became the attacker. The author of this article feels this is too far-fetched and doesn't intend to use it universally.)

Blake sat down opposite Bai Lin, his eyes fixed on Bai Lin, but he still picked up his red tea and took a sip, indicating that he was willing to talk.

Bai Lin smiled and said, "See, isn't this much better, a conversation between two gentlemen?" He paused and continued, "Although I am an employee of the Ministry of Magic and a teacher at Hogwarts, my wish is very similar to yours: to eliminate Voldemort and his Death Eaters and protect the good people around us. Although it is a very difficult task, someone has to be willing to do it, don't you think?"

Bai Lin stared into his deep gray eyes and said, "I will do my best to help Harry recognize you and catch that rat for you. Don't be surprised, I am a magizo expert. I can see through Animagus at a glance. You can think of it as a talent I have gained from years of research, just like the Trelawney family's Eye of the Sky."

Blake was clearly annoyed that he had been seen through at a glance, but he accepted Bai Lin's explanation because it was the only reasonable one.

Bai Lin said, "I'll bring Lupin over in the next couple of days. If you want to clear your name, you'd better convince him first... I think you already know about the rat's movements through Crookshanks and are planning to sneak into the Gryffindor dormitories, right?"

Blake didn't speak, but snorted through his nose; anyone would feel annoyed if they were seen through.

Blake waved his hand and said, "I'll say it again: I need to know what you really want. Don't try to fob me off with grand ambitions like eliminating Voldemort!"

Bai Lin said, "Alright then, I'll hunt Dementors. These evil creatures make me feel very unsafe."

Blake glared at Bai Lin and said, "Are you out of your mind to provoke them? Or do you have some strange purpose? Like those dark wizards!"

Bai Lin rolled his eyes and said, "You might not believe me, but I do know a little bit of dark magic. I've never even touched the three forbidden spells, and I have no intention of killing anyone, whether they're Muggles or wizards. Of course, eradicating Death Eaters is the responsibility of every employee of the Ministry of Magic, so it doesn't go against my original intentions."

Black pondered the matter deeply. Having a powerful teacher like Bai Lin as an inside man at Hogwarts would certainly make his actions much easier. As he spoke, Bai Lin took out the turkey and sausages he had hidden at yesterday's banquet, along with fragrant mushroom soup and butterbeer. Blake had been on the run for his life and hadn't enjoyed such good food during this time.

Bai Lin came out of Hagrid's hut, glanced at Buckbeak who was still fighting with Axe for a big wooden stick in the distance, shook his head, and decided not to change the plot. Let Malfoy suffer the consequences himself.

Hermione was clearly skeptical: "You mean what she said is true?"
