Hogwarts: My Grandmother is the Queen

Chapter 202 How Prefects Gain Power

Chapter 202 How Prefects Gain Power

"I'll do it myself," Henry said. "I've got Gemma Farley as my advisor; she's the sixth-grade prefect, she's really good."

Hermione's eyes lit up, a natural reaction of a top student hearing the name of another top student.

"Miss Farley? I know her! She got ten excellent grades in the 0.WLs exams last year, with Defense Against the Dark Arts being the highest. I checked her grades; she's strong in every subject, including Charms."

"Yes," Henry said, "she agreed."

Harry looked at Henry with a complicated expression.

There was surprise, hesitation, and a hint of anticipation in it.

"Then... the Slytherin people will come too?"

"Yes," Henry said. "Everyone will come—Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff. Anyone who wants to come."

Ron and Harry exchanged a glance.

"Are you sure?" Ron asked, his voice unconsciously rising a half-octave. "Malfoy's coming too?"

"Yes," Henry said. "Is there a problem?"

Ron thought for a moment, his expression changing several times before finally settling on a "never mind" look.

"----No."

Hermione chimed in, "I think that's a great idea. We didn't learn anything in Professor Lockhart's class. It would be good for everyone if there were a club where we could actually learn something. And one..."

She paused, glanced at Henry, and said, "Miss Farley's willingness to provide guidance shows that you're serious and not just playing around."

Harry nodded and put down the bread he was holding.

"Then I'll go."

"I'll go too," Ron said, grabbing another piece of bread.

Hermione nodded.

Henry stood up, picked up the pumpkin juice, and took a sip.

"Okay, next Wednesday at 7 PM, on the eighth floor, see you then."

At this point, he turned to look at Ron.

"I remember your brother, Percy Weasley, is a Gryffindor prefect, right? And he got 12 zeros in the 0.WLs. If possible, I'd like to invite him to join us."

"Percy?"

Ron felt a little uncomfortable at the mention of the name—not that he disliked Percy, but he found Percy's meddling annoying.

Henry took out a note and handed it to Ron.

"I'll be having afternoon tea in an empty classroom on the second floor this afternoon. Please give this note to Percy. Of course, you can join me for tea if you'd like."

After saying that, he turned and left, leaving the three of them sitting there.

Ron watched Henry's figure disappear at the end of the Gryffindor table, clutching the note in his hand, opening his mouth, then closing it again.

"What's wrong?" Harry asked, still chewing on his bread.

"Didn't you hear? He told me to give Percy a note," Ron said. "He's inviting us to afternoon tea with him, and also asking him to mentor the Duel Club."

"Percy going to instruct the Dueling Club?" Hermione asked, somewhat pleased. "Is it your brother? Percy Weasley, our Prefect?"

"It's that Percy," Ron said dryly, "the same Percy who checks our ties every morning in the common room to make sure they're all tied properly."

Hermione ignored the hint of resentment in his tone; she was already rummaging through her bag, seemingly looking for a notebook.

“Percy Weasley is a very impressive person,” she said. “He got 12 zeros in the 0.WLs, which would rank him in the top ten at Hogwarts in the last decade. And he’s a prefect, and a candidate for student council president—at least that’s what I’ve heard. If he could come and coach the Dueling Club, then—”

"Hermione," Ron interrupted her, "calm down. He's my brother, not some celebrity."

Hermione glanced at him, somewhat surprised.

"He's your brother, but he's also a very capable person," she said. "You should be proud of him."

Ron opened his mouth, wanting to refute, but found that he didn't seem to have anything to refute.

He looked down at the note in his hand and sighed.

"Okay, then I'll go find him."

Harry watched this scene from the side and couldn't help but laugh.

"Shall I go with you?"

"No need." Ron stood up, stuffed the last piece of bread into his mouth, and said, "I'll go myself. He's probably in the common room reading his 'How Prefects Gain Power' or something. You guys wait for my news."

After he finished speaking, he turned and walked toward the Gryffindor common room.

Ron was right; Percy was indeed in the common room. He was sitting in the armchair by the window, with a book titled "How Prefects Gain Power" open in front of him.

His brows were slightly furrowed, and his lips moved silently, as if he were reciting something.

Percy didn't even look up when Ron walked over.

"Percy," Ron said.

"Hmm," Percy responded, his eyes still on the manual.

"Someone asked me to bring you a note."

Percy's brow furrowed even deeper. He looked up, a hint of annoyance at being disturbed.

"Who gave it to you?" he asked, taking the note.

"Henry Welsh," Ron said, "the Slytherin one."

Percy paused for a moment, glanced at Ron, and then opened the notepad.

The handwriting on the note was beautiful, neat, and clean. Percy put the note down after reading it.

"He invited me to afternoon tea," Percy said, a hint of surprise in his voice.

“I know,” Ron said. “He invited all of us, Harry, Hermione, and me.”

Percy glanced at him.

Are you going?

"Go," Ron said. "Why not?"

Percy folded the note and carefully placed it next to the book.

"What time is it?"

"He said in the afternoon," Ron said. "Specifically—probably after afternoon classes."

Percy nodded, his gaze fixed on the view outside the window.

"Okay, I'll go."

He spoke calmly, but Ron noticed that his hands on his knees tightened slightly.

After the afternoon classes ended, Ron, Harry, and Hermione waited for Percy at the entrance to the Gryffindor common room.

When Percy came out, he had changed into a clean robe, his hair was combed again, and the prefect's badge was neatly pinned to his chest.

"Let's go." He finally said.

The three followed him out of the common room and down the corridor to the second floor.

"Do you know where he is?" Ron asked.

"It's written on the note," Percy said. "Second floor, third empty classroom on the left."

Ron opened his mouth, wanting to ask what else was written on the note, but seeing Percy's serious face, he swallowed his words.

The second-floor corridor was much quieter than downstairs. Some of the portraits on the walls were dozing off, while others were chatting quietly. When they saw them passing by, they looked up and glanced at them curiously.

The third empty classroom on the left.

Percy stopped at the door, took a deep breath, and then knocked.

"Please come in."

The door opened.

The classroom looked completely different from what they had imagined.
