Hogwarts: My Grandmother is the Queen

Just as the train was leaving the London suburbs and the countryside began to appear outside the window, the compartment door was suddenly pulled open again.

A boy stood panting in the doorway. He had neatly combed brown hair, wore brand-new Muggle-style clothes, and dragged an expensive-looking suitcase.

"Thank goodness, I finally found a seat! The stalls in front of me and even the aisle were packed!"

The boy spoke casually, his gaze sweeping across the cubicle. He first nodded to Hannah and Susan, then finally landed on Henry's face.

His gaze lingered on Henry's face for a moment, then his eyes widened suddenly, his mouth opened slightly involuntarily, and his face showed extreme shock, disbelief, and finally a mixture of excitement and sudden realization.

"You...you...my God!" The boy's voice rose eight octaves with excitement. He pointed at Henry, his fingers trembling slightly. "You're Prince Henry! Prince Henry of Wales! I've seen you on TV! In the newspapers! My dad's company even participated in a business forum sponsored by the royal family last year!"

The air in the cubicle froze instantly. Hannah and Susan looked at the boy, whose face was flushed with excitement, and then at Henry, whose expression remained calm.

Although they had never watched television, they were not entirely ignorant of the Muggle world, and they were very clear about the concepts of princes and royalty—the highest level of secular nobility in the Muggle world, a symbol of the top of another vast social structure.

However, the sudden and concrete appearance of this concept left the two little witches somewhat bewildered.

Hannah's eyes widened slightly, while Susan pursed her lips thoughtfully.

Henry sighed inwardly. He had anticipated being recognized, but he hadn't expected it to happen so quickly.

I originally wanted to interact with you as ordinary people...

He gave the dumbfounded boy a helpless smile, and at the same time raised his hand, gesturing for him to be quiet.

"I suppose on the Hogwarts Express I'd prefer to be called 'Henry Welsh,'" his voice was steady, carrying a quiet strength that involuntarily calmed people. "Nice to meet you. And you are?"

The boy snapped back to reality, realizing he might have overreacted. He quickly went into the cubicle, closed the door, and lowered his voice, but his excitement was still palpable.

"Justin Finch-Finlie! Oh, my apologies, Your Highness… I mean, Mr. Wells! This is absolutely shocking! I mean, I was already pretty crazy when I received the letter, but I never expected… never expected…"

He was rambling incoherently, but his gaze was fixed intently on Henry, as if he were looking at a walking legend.

The hyphenated surname "Finch-Finch" signifies the Justin family's upper-class status.

In British tradition, two surnames are inheritable, primarily to preserve a family name that would die out if there were no male descendants. This family name is related to the inheritance of the family estate.

For example, the original surname of the British royal family was Windsor, but the Queen obviously would not take her husband's surname, so after the Queen got married, she added Prince Philip's surname before her original surname, and it became Mountbatten-Windsor.

Hannah and Susan exchanged a surprised look.

Hannah leaned closer to Susan and whispered, "The prince? The grandson of that Muggle queen?"

Susan nodded slightly, her gaze towards Henry filled with even greater curiosity—being in the same room as a Muggle royal was far beyond anything they had imagined before boarding the train.

Henry nodded to Justin, his voice gentle.

"Please have a seat, Mr. Finley. I think we still have many things to discuss and look forward to about the wizarding world before we arrive at Hogwarts, such as which house we'll be sorted into, don't we?"

He skillfully steered the conversation back to the magical world, while signaling Justin to calm down with a look.

Justin realized he might have caused Henry trouble, and he tried to calm himself down, nodding repeatedly as he packed his luggage.

"Of course, of course! Houses! I've heard Professor McGonagall say that there are four houses in Hogwarts...that's amazing!"

But even after he sat down, he couldn't help but glance at Henry from time to time, clearly his excitement was far from over.

Hannah seemed to temporarily suppress her shock at Henry's identity, her curiosity turning to Justin: "You're Muggle-born? Oh, sorry, I mean, neither of your parents are wizards?"

"Yes! Absolutely right! Until last month, I thought my parents were playing a really realistic joke on me!" Justin was immediately drawn to the new topic and began to talk at length about the shock he felt when he received the letter.

Just as Justin was recounting how Professor McGonagall used a simple Transfiguration spell to turn his living room sofa into a pig, thus completely convincing his parents that magic truly existed, the sliding door to the cubicle opened once again.

A smiling witch appeared at the door, pushing a cart piled high with all sorts of strange and wonderful snacks.

"Honey, do you need me to buy something to eat in the car? Chocolate frog, crucible cake, Super Bubble Gum, pumpkin pie, and Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans—they're all delicious!"

The four children's attention was immediately drawn to it. The dazzling array of magical snacks, with their brightly colored packaging and enticing sweet aroma, was irresistible.

Hannah and Susan were clearly familiar with each other. Hannah's eyes lit up, and she immediately took out a few silver coins from her pocket and bought a bag of chocolate frogs and a few pumpkin pies. Susan, on the other hand, asked for a bag of bubble gum.

"You guys should try it too," Hannah said enthusiastically to Henry and Justin, pointing to the chocolate frog. "Watch out, it might jump away! Collecting the pictures is fun too."

Justin curiously leaned over to look at the Chocolate Frog packaging: "It moves? A real frog?" He hesitated for a moment, then took out his money and bought a bag of Chocolate Frogs and a crucible cake, wanting to try it out.

Henry smiled and ordered a bag of Chocolate Frogs, a Crucible Cake, a bag of Bubblegum Super Bubblegum, and a bag of Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans. He noticed that Justin's movements were a little clumsy when he took out his money, but his excitement for new things was genuine.

With the snacks in hand, the atmosphere in the cubicle became even more relaxed.

"Be careful when you're disassembling this chocolate frog," Hannah demonstrated to Henry and Justin, picking up the chocolate frog: "Look, like this, you have to quickly block its escape route, otherwise it will get away."

Justin followed suit, frantically pressing down on his own hand, marveling at the moving image of Dumbledore on the picture.

Henry quickly grabbed the frog's leg and smashed its head in before it could break free.

"Mine is Dumbledore," Justin said, picking up the picture. "The Headmaster of Hogwarts—wait, why is he winking at me?"

"You can't expect him to never blink, can you?" Hannah said casually. "That would be exhausting."
