Who told him to become the Pirate King!

Chapter 240 Nine-Star [Endurance]! (5 chapters, 180,000 words, please vote!)

"Kaido of the Beasts' Eight-Star Grand Prix!"

Storm gazed at the [Radiant Moon Cup] that had sprung out of the void, his expression one of barely concealed excitement.

This battle between him and Kaido of the Beasts is different from his previous battles with other top-tier warriors of the sea.

until today.

Storm has also amassed many eight-star [Moonlight Trophy] titles.

[Kizaru Borsalino], [Hawkeye Mihawk], [Dark King Rayleigh], [Red-Haired Shanks], [Great Buddha Sengoku]...

However, the significance of this [Kaido of the Beasts] is quite different.

Well known.

In battles between top-tier experts in the ocean, it's still difficult to determine a clear winner or loser.

Especially in one-on-one situations.

In Storm's mind, the only person known to be able to definitively defeat a strong opponent of equal strength in a one-on-one situation is the future Fleet Admiral of the Marine Headquarters—Akainu Sakazuki.

As for the others...

Let's take a certain "naval hero" who wishes to remain anonymous as an example.

The naval hero's achievements seem incredibly impressive, and he is recognized by the world as a legendary figure in the navy.

However, this person's "records" are not worth looking at closely.

In the God Valley Incident, the "Marine Hero" and Pirate King Roger joined forces to defeat the Rocks Pirates;

In the attack on the Navy Headquarters, the "Naval Hero" and then-Admiral Sengoku joined forces to defeat Shiki the Golden Lion.

In the Buster Call incident involving the Devil's Heir, the "Naval Hero" once again teamed up with Sengoku to capture Douglas Barrett...

(This doesn't even include the rumor that the "Naval Hero" and the former Fleet Admiral Kong teamed up to take down Lone Red...)

Strictly speaking...

The "Naval Hero" truly defeated the "strongest enemy" in a one-on-one battle.

It turns out to be the leader of the Happo Navy, Harpie, who hails from the Flower Country of the West Sea and has a bounty of 5 million Berries.

He even went so far as to defeat Chinjao, the "great pirate" with a bounty of 5 million Berries.

The "Naval Hero" also practiced for a long time and was said to have smashed eight mountains.

What does this mean?

Let's make a side-by-side comparison.

Just like Roger trained hard for a long time to kill Usopp, and Whitebeard trained hard to beat Portgas D. Ace...

Is this reasonable?

Can you imagine this?

No wonder this "naval hero" later met his end on Beehive Island, where the Blackbeard Pirates' main force was stationed...

Closer to home.

In the past, Storm often needed the power of the [Momo Ring] to defeat Hawkeye Mihawk and Dark Lord Rayleigh.

The terms "power" and "numerical value" are used to describe the existence of the [Momo Fruit]!

But this time...

Storm defeated Kaido, the veteran pirate emperor of the New World, in a direct battle solely by relying on his physical strength, Haki, and Clay-Clay Fruit!

have to say.

This is quite an accomplishment!

Storm took a deep breath, temporarily put away the eight-star Grand Prize Cup of [Kaido of the Beasts], and continued to look at the sea below.

Kaido of the Beasts crashed into the sea, plunging directly into the ocean floor. The waves surged and churned, but eventually they stopped.

When Storm turned his attention to the sea below, the waves on the surface had noticeably subsided.

"Kaido of the Beasts...do you want to do sit-ups?"

Storm, however, had no doubt about Kaido's regenerative abilities.

As a user of the [Azure Dragon Fruit].

Kaido of the Beasts possesses top-tier physical attributes and regenerative abilities on the Grand Line!

Sit-ups are a piece of cake.

Storm simply couldn't be sure whether Kaido of the Beasts would do sit-ups.

Two crimson lights shone from his eyes as he quietly activated his Observation Haki, peering down into the sea once more to check on Kaido's situation.

This time.

Storm still sensed Kaido's presence.

However, unlike last time, Kaido of the Beasts was lying quietly on the seabed, showing no intention of getting up.

Kaido of the Beasts stopped thinking...

"It seems there won't be a second round of fighting!"

Storm withdrew his Observation Haki.

Since Kaido of the Beasts has no intention of continuing the fight.

So Storm didn't want to continue entangled with the other party.

The eight-star Grand Prix Cup, featuring Kaido of the Beasts, is now in our hands.

For the time being, Storm is also unable to hunt down the Moonlit Trophy from Kaido of the Beasts.

Let's keep this blue dragon and let it continue to wreak havoc on Wano Country...

Clay falls from the sky!

Storm looked at the Blue-Eyes White Dragon behind him, then used his teleportation ability to teleport back to the Blue-Eyes White Dragon.

The Blue-Eyes White Dragon flapped its wings and flew at a normal speed toward the depths of the New World.

The sea here is gradually returning to calm.

……

Inside the driver's cab of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon.

Storm took a short break.

These past two days have been a frenzied battle.

Storm himself also suffered a lot.

The main reason is that he needs to constantly hone his Conqueror's Haki.

Furthermore, the actual level of [Conqueror's Haki] is as high as nine stars.

This was quite a drain on Storm's stamina.

of course.

Storm's "stamina bar" is quite long.

If the fighting continues...

Storm can only hold on for another week at most.

[Grand Prize Cup]!

After resting for a while, Storm summoned the Moonlit Trophy he had just obtained after defeating Kaido of the Beasts.

Another brand new eight-star trophy has been won.

Storm then summoned his own ability panel.

The eight-star "Radiant Moon Cup".

Storm is not currently planning to incorporate such a high-level "Grand Cup" into his Devil Fruit abilities.

The eight-star trophy can only be used in two ways.

【physique】?

[Domineering]?

Storm first looked at his own [Endurance] attribute, which was as high as "eight and a half stars".

Then he looked at the [Armament Haki] and [Observation Haki] that were still at the eight-star level.

The [Strength] and [Speed] attributes, both of which are eight-star, have been temporarily excluded by Strom.

The existence of the Momo Fruit allows Storm to multiply his strength and speed at will.

Even setting aside the [Momo Fruit]...

Clay Ring, Red Dragon Ring, Thunder Ring...

All of these Demon Rings can indirectly increase Strom's Strength and Speed attributes.

He doesn't need to improve these two attributes for the time being.

The key is still endurance!

Storm paused for a moment to think.

Eight-star Armament Haki is more than enough.

Moreover, it also has a nine-star Conqueror's Haki as a base.

Storm's current "attack power" is actually a bit "overkill".

As for [Observation Haki].

Storm was somewhat envious of the ability to "predict the future".

The ability to "read people's minds" is also very useful.

After a moment's consideration, Storm decided to invest the eight-star Grand Prize Cup of Kaido of the Beasts into his Endurance attribute.

Just do it!

Storm was about to add points, but when he remembered the intense hunger that would result from increasing the [Physique] attribute, he quickly checked the food reserves inside the Blue-Eyes White Dragon.

"This little bit of food might be enough to fill a tooth gap, but it's definitely not enough!"

Storm frowned and temporarily stopped allocating points to the [Endurance] attribute.

He returned to the Dragon's Head cockpit, took out a nautical map of the new world, picked up a few navigation pointers, and found an island nearby.

"Dresrosa is just ahead? Maybe we can go over and freeload a meal!"

Storm immediately set his sights on the target island.

He controlled the blue-eyed white dragon and quickly traveled away.

On the way to Dressrosa.

Storm then recalled his "newest" acquisition of the tenth [Demon Ring] a few days earlier—

【Swamp Ring】.

Storm returned to the dragon's belly cabin.

The user of the [Nature Type - Swamp Fruit] can create an infinite space inside their body.

With the help of the power of the Swamp Ring, Storm also gained this special "storage space".

Inside the dragon's belly cabin.

Storm first dealt with the two special "prisoners".

Hades Silvers Rayleigh.

Donquixote Doflamingo, the Heavenly Demon.

The idea of "shoving two male pirates into one's body" sounds so bizarre that it's unacceptable to actually do it.

When Storm entered the dragon's belly cabin, he promptly used his Clay-Clay Fruit ability to casually conjure a large black dog.

Then, he handed the Swamp Ring to the large black dog.

"From now on, your name is 'Iggy'!"

Storm vigorously rubbed Iggy's head a few times.

A clay figure that looks like a dog, barks like a dog, behaves like a dog, and doesn't poop or pee anywhere...

That's absolutely fantastic!

Iggy took four steps and charged towards Rayleigh and Doflamingo, opening his mouth wide and swallowing the two prisoners whole.

Iggy connects to the infinitely large swamp space, making it an excellent "great prison".

Storm then instructed Iggy to continue storing other items.

For example, Devil Fruits, Devil Fruits, Devil Fruits...

Storm was preoccupied with collecting Devil Fruits.

However, they did not pay close attention to how many Devil Fruits he currently possessed that he intended to keep for future use.

Today I had Iggy take a detailed look at it.

Storm then realized that even after eliminating the ten [Demon Rings]...

He has now become a true "Devil Fruit collector"!

The Nine-Tailed Fox Fruit and the Chameleon Fruit brought out from Impel Down...

The Tyrannosaurus Rex Fruit, the Blunt-tailed Poison Lizard Fruit, the Komodo Dragon Fruit, and the Marine Iguana Fruit were hunted from the Lizard King Hanafda...

The Smooth-Smooth Fruit, the Silence-Silence Fruit, the Wine-Wine Fruit, and the Cube-Cube Fruit were obtained through trade with the World Government and Shakky...

Among the Donquixote Family's executives, the following fruits were hunted: Stone-Stone Fruit, Float-Float Fruit, Water-Water Fruit, Ton-Ton Fruit, Spin-Spin Fruit, Snow-Snow Fruit...

The [Teleportation Fruit] hunted on Beehive Island...

I don’t know, I’m scared.

Storm has now collected nearly twenty Devil Fruits!

That's absolutely terrifying!

Storm had Iggy swallow the dozen or so Devil Fruits and stored them in the swamp space just in case.

The "treasures" have been inventoried.

The Blue-Eyes White Dragon also flew to Dressrosa.

The arrival of Storm—or more accurately, the arrival of the "White Dragon"—provoked a great deal of excitement throughout Dressrosa.

Every citizen of Dressrosa who experienced the terror of the Don Quixote family's rule.

There is no one who doesn't like Lord Haku.

To the White Dragon who defeated the Donquixote Family and saved Dressrosa from disaster.

The people of Dressrosa held him in the highest esteem, regarding him as a god.

After observing the arrival of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon.

The Riku royal family of Dressrosa—who had regained power in Dressrosa after the fall of the Donquixote family—rushed to the scene and welcomed Strom into the Dressrosa palace.

A banquet was held in the royal palace.

Storm quietly added some food to his plate in front of the mountain of food.

[Endurance: ★★★★★★★★★] (Nine-star rating)
