Bai Ze served Mo a large bowl of chicken soup, topped with bright red goji berries and dates.

It looks very nutritious.

Mo ate the soup and meat cleanly.

He now seems quite content with his status as an "injured person" and readily accepts Bai Ze's care and concern.

Jue kept glancing at the beast father, feeling that something was off.

In the afternoon, Qing and Yan brought their cubs to visit Bai Ze, but their attention was drawn to Mo, who was sitting outside the cave basking in the sun.

Seeing how relaxed he was, Yan walked over and was about to give him a slap when Bai Ze, who was standing next to him, quickly stopped him.

He has a wound on his shoulder.

Yan looked Mo up and down, puzzled, and asked, "I don't remember you being injured?"

Mo glanced at him and said indifferently, "I had a fight with Geng."

Yan remained skeptical: "Could he possibly hurt you?"

Mo did not reply and touched his wound.

"Does it hurt again?" Bai Ze lifted the corner of his collar and asked worriedly.

Mo shook his head: "It's nothing."

Yan also glanced at it. No, just these few scratches, how could it be so weak?

I'm not that useless yet.

Yan noticed the look in Mo's eyes as he looked at Bai Ze and immediately realized what was going on.

Well, this guy did it on purpose, to load up cargo!

Xi, being rather naive, asked with a face full of admiration, "Mo, did you go to avenge Bai Ze?"

Mo nodded: "Mm."

"You're so amazing!" Xi said, then asked, "Could you invite me next time?"

"Can."

"Yay!" Xi clenched her little fists and waved them in the air a few times. "I'm going to beat him so badly he can't get up."

Qing had already given Bai Ze medicine yesterday. Now, after looking at his neck, she reminded him, "Remember not to get it wet."

Bai Ze smiled and said okay.

In the afternoon, he took Jue to the stream to catch fish, and in the evening he stewed a pot of milky white fried egg and fish soup for Mo.

Bai Ze asked, "How is it?"

Mo immediately replied, "It's delicious."

Jue silently looked away, already used to her father's unusual behavior, her mind only focused on how to snag a sleeping spot at night.

After the meal, Jue naturally squatted down by the cave entrance to wash the pots and dishes.

Mo used the same trick again, having Bai Ze wash his body.

This time he was smarter; he wore an animal skin around his neck so that his capital wouldn't appear too conspicuous as it expanded.

But the two of them still came out blushing.

No one knows what method Mo used, but Bai Ze washed his hands several times, and afterwards he was embarrassed to look at him.

Mo lay contentedly on the bed, feeling incredibly comfortable in every part of his body.

But when his partner and cubs were getting ready to sleep, he was dumbfounded.

Bai Ze was afraid of pressing on Mo's wound at night, so he and Jue took their pillows and slept on the other side.

Mo sat up, staring at the two people opposite him, one big and one small. Reluctantly, he waited until midnight before sneaking around and squeezing between them.

Then, contentedly, he embraced Bai Ze and fell into a deep sleep.

Because he was about to go on a long trip, Bai Ze had a lot of things to prepare, so he had been busy.

Grinding various convenient, portable seasonings, preparing food that can be stored for a long time on the road, sewing windproof hats and scarves...

Mo always stood by, getting involved in anything he could, and keeping an eye on things he couldn't help with.

Occasionally, when it transforms into its beast form, it will lie down next to Bai Ze, intentionally or unintentionally turning over on its belly and swishing its tail.

It didn't look like a leopard; rather... it looked like a big cat begging for affection.

Even Lian Jue couldn't bear to look.

I think the father's injury wasn't to his arm, but to his head.

……

The day we set off to exchange salt was exceptionally sunny. Everyone ate and drank their fill before we gathered and set off.

Mo somehow acquired an extremely sharp bone knife and had Bai Ze carry it with him at all times.

Xi had packed up early. The half-grown black leopard carried a brown leather backpack on its shoulder, filled with clothes and food.

Jue was squatting on the ground, obediently raising her front paws so that her father could help her carry her bulging schoolbag.

The two little black panthers walked side by side, so cute it melted everyone's heart.

Mo had gotten used to being the "mount," and bent down to press down its front paws, making it easier for Bai Ze to climb up.

We're bringing a lot of things this time, and the large group is making a grand and impressive appearance.

Yan hugged Qing and kissed her: "Don't worry, we'll be back soon."

"Yes, take good care of Xi and Jue... and yourself." Qing's voice was muffled. Every time he was separated from Yan, he would feel sad for two days.

"Yes, eat well." Yan hugged Qing tightly. "If you're scared, go find Xing."

Xing nodded: "Don't worry."

As they were talking, Li suddenly walked over and opened her arms: "Xing, give me a farewell hug."

"Chen said you're really lucky, let me have some of that luck."

A perfect reason.

Xing generously scooped him up, saying, "I'll make sure you get home safely."

Li smiled contentedly: "Thank you, Xing."

"Alright," Chen grabbed Li, "Haven't you hugged me enough?"

Everyone followed them all the way to the outside of the tribe, and then watched the main force depart into the distance.

The merfolk live on the eastern coast of the Beast God Continent.

The Black Panther tribe makes several trips every year and is quite familiar with the roads. They carry their belongings on their backs and in their mouths, forming a long line, and steadily walk eastward.

This was Xi Hejue's first time traveling far from home, and the two little ones were incredibly curious. They wiggled their little legs, looking around at everything along the way, wanting to get close to everything they saw.

Fearing that Jue and Xi might get lost, Yan and Mo positioned themselves in front of and behind them to prevent them from falling behind.

The further east you go, the denser the vegetation becomes, some of it blocking out most of the sky, preventing sunlight from getting in, and making the forest look gray and gloomy.

Xi and Jue were still children, and by evening their strength was waning, their ears drooping and their tails hanging down.

But it's not time to set up camp yet.

Yan then had Xi and Jue transform into human form, carried them on his back for a while, and after they rested, he threw the two kids down and continued running.

As night fell, the temperature gradually dropped.

Si and Ye, who were ahead, found a place for everyone to rest for the night.

There might be wandering orcs on the way to exchange salt, so the orcs have to take turns guarding the area to prevent their belongings from being lost.

Bai Ze asked Mo curiously, "What is a wandering beastman?"

Mo replied, "Orcs who were driven out of the tribe."

Yan added, "There are also orcs who did not join a new tribe after their tribe was destroyed."

"The tribe was wiped out?" Bai Ze found it hard to believe, after all, based on his current understanding, orcs were very powerful beings.

For a tribe to be wiped out, that must be an extremely serious situation.

Li: "Hunger, cold, floods, disease, animal tides... there are many things we cannot resist."

They believed it was the consequence of the beast god's wrath.

"Beast Tide?" Bai Ze in front knew what it was, but he had heard of beast tides several times and still didn't quite understand what kind of disaster it was.

Mo: "The wild beasts that used to hide in the mountains and forests have gone mad and will attack any living creature they see."
