Huayu Entertainment: The Birth of a Succubus Top Star

Compared to when he was with other members of the crew, Zhang Yimou showed a completely different face when he was with Gu Zhiyan.

He was incredibly kind and approachable.

Even Liu Haochun, Gu Zhiyan's "biological mother," couldn't compare to his treatment.

Ahem, Liu Haochun is Zhang Yimou's "biological mother"—this wasn't said by Gu Zhiyan, but by netizens.

Liu Haochun is a "Zhang Yimou Girl" who is heavily promoted by Zhang Yimou. She starred in "One Second" and "Cliff Walkers" right after her debut. Zhang Yimou also got her the role in "Better Days". Her resources far exceed those of other newcomers at the same time.

Recently, many netizens have joked that Zhang Yimou treats Liu Haochun like his own mother, which has led to the sarcastic meme "Liu Haochun's mother," implying that she is a resource-backed actress and unworthy of her position.

Gu Zhiyan still respected the Imperial Advisor.

If Liu Haochun is Zhang Yimou's "biological mother," then Gu Zhiyan is arguably Zhang Yimou's "biological father."

Whether in terms of treatment or relationships, it is.

Zhang Yimou: What happened to the respect you promised?

"Brother Yan, what are you thinking about?"

Seeing that Gu Zhi was in a daze, Liu Haochun poked his head out from under the covers.

How did Liu Haochun end up in Gu Zhiyan's bed?

This is a long story.

Liu Haochun, a native of Northeast China, was worried that Gu Zhiyan wouldn't be able to adapt to the harsh winter weather in the Northeast, so he offered to warm his bed as soon as he arrived on set.

She insisted on giving it to him, so how could he refuse the girl's kindness?

Underfloor heating: Do you think I don't exist?

"Oh, nothing, I was just thinking about the movie plot."

Gu Zhiyan naturally wouldn't tell Liu Haochun that he was secretly criticizing Zhang Yimou.

However, what he said is not untrue.

Filmmaking almost never follows the script completely and rigidly.

Adjusting and changing the plot during filming is common practice, and even an indispensable part of filmmaking.

You can think of a script as a "blueprint" or "compass" rather than a "construction contract" that must be followed word for word.

The current version of "Cliff Walkers" was modified based on Gu Zhiyan's suggestion.

The major logical flaws in "Cliff Walkers" have been corrected, but some minor issues are still inevitable.

No script can be perfect.

Having experience revising scripts before filming, Zhang Yimou and screenwriter Quan Yongxian would usually discuss and consult with Gu Zhiyan whenever they had plot-related issues.

Oh, Zhang Yimou is also one of the screenwriters.

He even suggested that Gu Zhiyan's name be added to the screenwriter's credits when the film was released.

Gu Zhiyan naturally refused.

He can't write scripts, but anyone can nitpick.

Besides, with his current status, he doesn't need any screenwriter title to attract attention.

"Brother Xiaoyan, you're amazing! Even Director Zhang listens to you." Liu Haochun looked at Gu Zhiyan with admiration.

Gu Zhiyan: ...

What does it mean that Zhang Yimou should listen to him?

They simply adopted some reasonable suggestions.

"Don't talk nonsense, this is Director Zhang humbly accepting advice," Gu Zhiyan patted Liu Haochun's butt, "It's time, get up."

"Ugh, just thinking about filming makes me want to skip it!" Liu Haochun said with a dejected expression.

"There's no way around it, being an actor means everything is about the performance. Stop sleeping in, it's getting late."

Gu Zhiyan understood Liu Haochun very well. This awful weather, it's been below minus thirty degrees Celsius for the past few days. Filming in this kind of environment is truly torture.

Moreover, Liu Haochun was really tortured yesterday. There was a scene in ice water yesterday, and she soaked in the ice water for almost twenty minutes before getting ashore. When she came out, her lips were frozen purple.

To be fair, Junko has a real "ruthlessness" about her; she resolutely refuses to use a stunt double and grits her teeth to endure it.

The others weren't much better off, especially older actors like Ni Dahong, whose bodies were really struggling to keep up.

However, everyone was quite dedicated, and they carried out the director's requests without fail.

The easiest one was Gu Zhiyan. On the one hand, he had fewer takes, so he didn't have to film a scene many times.

On the other hand, he had a strong physique. His body, which had been modified by the system, combined with his long-term practice of an "unknown technique," meant that even at temperatures of minus thirty degrees Celsius, he didn't feel too cold.

Speaking of the system, Gu Zhiyan just used up a wave of starlight points a few days ago.

The system is now more powerful after the upgrade.

In addition to the lottery feature, a new item shop has been added.

Gu Zhiyan hasn't participated in the lottery for so long because he wants to save up his star points to buy an item.

The "Protection Charm for Minor Children" requires 200 million Star Points.

The specific function of this prop is to ensure that underage children will not be exposed through any channel after use.

This is a great thing. Gu Zhiyan will definitely have many, many children. With this, there will be no more worries about that.

It's expensive, but it's worth it!

It's just a pity for the system, which hasn't had a chance to appear for so long. But it has its own reasons, since it's priced so high.

Tongzi: ...

……

"Little Yan, I have something to tell you."

As soon as Gu Zhiyan arrived at the "Weibo Night" event, Yang Baobei approached him.

That's right, Gu Zhiyan asked Zhang Yimou for leave.

He originally didn't plan to attend this year's Weibo Night, but Su Caoguowei specifically called to invite him, so he had to give him face.

Moreover, he thought about it and realized that the Lunar New Year was coming soon, and masks would be arriving soon. He knew he wouldn't be able to go home for a long time, so he figured it would be good to take this opportunity to go home and visit his family.

"Sister, what's up?"

Gu Zhiyan subtly shifted his feet, because Yang Baobei was simply too close.

In public, one should still be mindful of certain things. Besides, Huang Xiaoming and Yang Baobei haven't officially announced their divorce yet, so it's really not good to create any scandals.

"Why are you hiding? Do you think your sister will eat you?" Yang Baobei rolled her eyes at Gu Zhiyan, annoyed.

"No, no, it's just that I've been standing for a long time and it's a bit uncomfortable, so I'm just moving my legs around."

Yang Baobei, too lazy to expose Gu Zhiyan, continued, "This time it really is something, about Zhao Jinmai. Do you want to hear it?"

"Listen, listen, what's wrong with her?"

Upon hearing that it was about Zhao Jinmai, Gu Zhiyan immediately took it to heart.

What happened to this girl?

That shouldn't be happening!

"Then come closer, this is something that shouldn't be known to others."

Yang Baobei's lips curled up. Hmph, you think I can't handle you?

When it comes to Xiaojinmai, Gu Zhiyan only thinks "compromise is the best option".

"It's like this..." Yang Baobei whispered into Gu Zhiyan's ear.

Yang Baobei and Zhao Jinmai are currently filming a reality show called "Fashion Partners". Wu the tailor is also on the show, and the problem lies with him.

"He grabbed Zhao Jinmai and started walking away, which terrified the little girl. She struggled a few times but couldn't break free. When I realized something was wrong, I quickly stopped him."

Later, I reminded Jinmai to ask someone for help, but the girl was probably shy or unaware of the wickedness of people's hearts, so she didn't do anything.

You should know what kind of person that guy is. He's obviously up to no good and will definitely have some ulterior motives. I know you dote on Jinmai and treat her like a little sister...”

Upon hearing Yang Baobei's description, Gu Zhiyan's eyes immediately sharpened.

He had overlooked this matter, mainly because Wu the tailor was too docile now and dared not cause trouble in front of him.

This guy is really asking for it!

Then let him die sooner and be reincarnated!
