Huayu Entertainment: The Birth of a Succubus Top Star

This year's Tencent Video All Star Awards, as always, continued the fine tradition of "sharing the spoils".

There are dozens of awards, big and small, basically one for every artist of any caliber.

The "VIP Star" award alone produced six winners, making it the biggest award at the "Star Awards".

The winners are Yang Mi, Dilraba, Zhao Liying, Yang Yang, Xiao Zhan, and Wang Yibo.

As soon as the list was announced, there was a flurry of discussion and whispers at the scene, and the internet exploded with excitement.

It's not because there are too many winners, but because Gu Zhiyan isn't on this most prestigious list!

"Holy crap, what's Tencent Video doing? Are they looking down on my Yan-ge or something?"

"Tencent Video is courting disaster! Sisters, we'll boycott Tencent Video from now on!"

"Are penguins really that foolish? If Gu Zhiyan cuts off cooperation with them in the future, won't their competitors be laughing all the way to the bank?"

"That shouldn't be the case, where did things go wrong?"

"My Tencent Video membership expired and I'm not renewing it, I'm switching to iQiyi instead. Look at what iQiyi did! Even though Xiao Yan didn't show up, they still gave him the 'Screaming God' award. Tencent Video, go to hell!"

"Don't be impatient. Gu Zhiyan seems quite calm. There should be more to come. Don't rush, don't rush."

"I feel so sorry for him. How famous does he have to be to stop being bullied?"

……

Who dares to bully Gu Zhiyan?

The person in charge of the Tencent Video All Star Awards was so frightened by the overwhelming public opinion online that he almost broke out in a cold sweat.

Thankfully, he didn't do it!

These online claims are not true; he was prepared for them.

VIP is hardly worthy of Gu Zhiyan; the "SVIP Star" title has already been prepared for him.

Netizens: ...

Tencent Video's move is really something else!

Anyone who didn't know better would think they were trying to trick viewers into buying memberships!

VIP, SVIP, Sports VIP, Advanced On-Demand...

In particular, Tencent's pioneering advanced on-demand model this year is deeply resented.

In June of this year, Tencent Video pioneered the paid unlocking of the finale of "The Untamed," earning over ten million yuan overnight.

The recently aired drama "Joy of Life" has launched a 50 yuan package for on-demand viewing, which has sparked widespread criticism.

Their eating manners are appalling!

Even though the controversy caused by Gu Zhiyan was quickly quelled, SVIP touched a nerve with netizens, and Tencent Video was still heavily criticized.

However, they don't care, because the number of viewers watching the live stream is soaring.

Go ahead and curse me all you want, are you going to stop me from making money?

The Tencent Video All Star Awards concluded amidst excitement and hustle and bustle.

Gu Zhiyan was already experienced; in situations with many older and younger women, she would make an excuse to leave early.

But he didn't expect to be cornered by someone.

"Brother Xiaoyan, you promised me last time..."

Yang Chaoyue, her face flushed, blocked Gu Zhiyan's path.

She rarely sees Xiao Yan, but today she stared at Gu Zhiyan the whole time.

As soon as she saw Gu Zhiyan get up, she immediately took action.

"Oh, I remember now, that's true. Let's go then."

Last time Yang Chaoyue invited him upstairs for a chat, Gu Zhiyan couldn't go because he had something to do.

He not only kissed Chaoyue's younger sister at the time, but also promised her that he would do it again next time.

One cannot be untrustworthy.

Gu Zhiyan followed Yang Chaoyue to her hotel room.

Yang Chaoyue sat down right next to Gu Zhiyan.

"Brother Yan, could you kiss me like you did last time... like that?"

Yang Chaoyue was clearly nervous, her hands tightly gripping the hem of her clothes, her face as red as a ripe apple.

So adorable!

How could Gu Zhiyan possibly refuse such a request?

After a long while, Yang Chaoyue, breathing heavily, leaned on Gu Zhiyan's shoulder.

Clothes slipped down...

Chaoyue's face is so deceptive; it has a small, delicate, youthful face, but also an unexpectedly broad-mindedness.

As the saying goes, "The ocean is vast because it embraces all rivers."

It's truly irresistible.

Let's get straight to the point.

The Peach Blossom Spring story states: "Initially..., people first learned..."

……

The next day, Gu Zhiyan spent another day with her younger sister Chaoyue, who had difficulty moving around, before going home.

On the day before New Year's Day, Gu Zhiyan set off for Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, the filming location of "Cliff Walkers".

Cliff Walkers is a spy thriller set in the turbulent 1930s.

Four agents, rigorously selected by the Party organization and trained in the Soviet Union for an extended period, secretly returned to China to carry out an operation codenamed "Utra".

Under the high-risk situation of being closely monitored and controlled by the enemy, they supported each other and fought side by side. After many battles and sacrifices, they finally eliminated the traitors, achieved victory, completed their mission, and ushered in the light.

Gu Zhiyan plays Zhang Xianchen, the main person in charge of Operation Ula, who is married to Wang Yu, played by Qin Hailu.

Although there is a significant age difference between the two, there is nothing that makeup cannot solve.

Besides, this isn't an idol drama, so Gu Zhiyan's makeup and styling are supposed to be a bit weathered and rough around the edges.

Although Gu Zhiyan and Qin Hailu play a married couple, they don't have many scenes together.

In the storyline, during the group assignments, to avoid close relationships, Zhang Xianchen and Xiao Lan were paired together, while Wang Yu and Chu Lan were paired together.

Liu Haochun plays Xiao Lan, and Zhu Yawen plays Chu Lan, who are in a romantic relationship.

Therefore, Gu Zhiyan actually has more scenes with Liu Haochun.

This was the first time Gu Zhiyan had witnessed Zhang Yimou making a film.

Everyone says that Zhang Yimou is full of energy, and he certainly lives up to that reputation.

When filming is busy, I only sleep 3-5 hours a day and work 15+ hours.

Besides having superhuman energy, he is also a perfectionist when it comes to details.

They filmed a single shot dozens of times, waited for real snow instead of filming fake snow, and trekked through mountains and rivers to reshoot, ensuring that every frame was "real."

They meticulously scrutinize props and art direction, and if a detail is wrong, they start over.

They have zero tolerance for poor performances and will get angry directly if an actor doesn't perform well, repeatedly scrutinizing their eyes and expressions.

"The audience isn't stupid" is his catchphrase; he never lets things go until his demands are met.

He oversaw the entire filming process, from lighting and sound recording to staging and acting demonstrations, never shirking his responsibilities.

Zhang Yimou has won three Best Actor awards: the Tokyo International Film Festival Best Actor, the Hundred Flowers Award for Best Actor, and the Golden Rooster Award for Best Actor. He is better than most professional actors, so he can easily set an example for actors.

He has a very stubborn personality; the "single-mindedness" of the people of Shaanxi is fully embodied in him.

Privately, he is always smiling and accommodating, and respectful to the creators and actors.

In short, Zhang Yimou is a "devil director" on set, but a humble craftsman in private, with an extreme dedication to his work and a warm heart towards people.

This director is pretty good.

Gu Zhiyan felt that Zhang Yimou was quite good, and Zhang Yimou was even more amazed by Gu Zhiyan.

Zhang Yimou has been in the industry for decades and has won countless awards. What kind of actors hasn't he seen?

But he had never seen an actor like Gu Zhiyan before!

Gu Zhiyan can deliver the effect you want, and even better than you ask for!

Moreover, filming often involves one take, and even if there are NG takes, it never exceeds three takes. If it does exceed three takes, then there must be a problem with other people or the set/props.

Gu Zhiyan is really too useful.

No wonder directors who have worked with him speak highly of him.

You have to try it to know how good it is!
