Bai Yishu arrived at the technical department. Although it was after get off work hours, the department was still packed with people.

She walked around several tables and found a male employee with whom she had a good relationship.

Everyone around him calls him Brother Li. He's not very old, but he's very kind-hearted.

Her computer had had several problems before, and Li Ge helped her solve them each time.

Bai Yishu greeted him and handed him the cover of the erroneous document.

"Brother Li, could you help me check the printer's usage history? I want to know when this document was transferred to the printer and from which computer."

He Yun Shen slowly put down his phone, leaned back in his chair, and rubbed his temples with his fingertips.

The office was eerily quiet, with only the ticking of the clock on the wall.

The room was dimly lit, and half of He Yun Shen's face was hidden in shadow, exuding a repressive and dangerous aura.

A moment later, he suddenly grabbed his coat and strode out of the office.

Bai Yishu hung up the phone and threw it on the bed. For no reason, her heart ached, and even her breathing felt heavy.

She put on a coat and walked across the villa's yard, wanting to get some fresh air.

The chill of early spring made her shiver. She wrapped her coat tighter around herself, squatted down on the grass by the roadside, and observed a stray cat not far ahead.

Suddenly, a blinding headlight shone down, instantly illuminating the dark night sky, and the stray cat was so frightened that it turned and ran away.

After the car lights went out, a tall figure got out of the car and walked quickly toward Bai Yishu.

He Yun Shen stopped a few steps away from her and looked down at Bai Yi Shu, who was squatting on the ground.

"Why are you here all alone so late?"

Bai Yishu stood up.

"Why are you here?"

I want to see you.

He Yun Shen's voice was a little hoarse, and his gaze was fixed on Bai Yi Shu.

You seem unhappy when you see me.

Bai Yishu pursed her lips and lowered her head to avoid eye contact with him.

He Yun Shen raised his hand and gently stroked her hair, his eyes showing a rare vulnerability and unease.

"Are you... still upset that I yelled at you during the day?"

"What are you going to do with my wallet? It only has cards and my ID in it."

Bai Yishu opened her wallet, took out a black card, and waved it in front of He Yunshen.

"Use it as collateral before I calm down."

He Yun Shen chuckled softly, looking at her with a doting expression.

"Okay, take it. You can keep it for as long as you want, as long as you can calm down."

He straightened up and couldn't help but pinch Bai Yishu's cheek.

"But how do you plan to spend my money?"

"I haven't decided yet."

He Yun Shen's eyes were smiling, and his tone was somewhat teasing.

"Then you'd better think about it carefully. Maxing out my credit card would be a very satisfying thing."

Bai Yishu put the card into her pocket.

"Then I should really think about it."

"Take your time to think it over. You can use my card as you please."

He Yun Shen's smile deepened. He gazed at her for a moment before slowly speaking.

"In exchange, can I have a hug?"

Bai Yishu's heart stirred, and she took a small step forward, opening her arms to hug He Yunshen.

The two figures stood embracing under the streetlight, their shadows stretched long and obliquely.

Bai Yishu gently nuzzled He Yunshen with her head and looked up at him.

"If I told you that I didn't create that incorrect document, would you believe me?"

He Yun Shen's body trembled, and he slowly released her, a hint of suspicion flashing across his face, but more so his trust in her.

"If you didn't do it, then who did?"

Bai Yishu hesitated for a moment, but decided to tell He Yunshen what had happened today.

After all, he's her boyfriend. It's not unreasonable for her to tell him what happened at work.

"You mean, she deliberately knocked the files off your desk and switched them?"
