Bai Yishu has been interning at the He Group for two weeks now. During this time, she has been able to complete most of her work quite well. If she encounters something she doesn't understand, she will occasionally bother He Yunshen.

Although they had been together for a month or so, Bai Yishu was still completely captivated by He Yun Shen every time she saw him for the first time each day.

This morning, He Yun Shen was not at the company. When Bai Yi Shu passed by the entrance of the break room, she overheard people inside talking about her.

"I really don't know what her background is. She's only been here a few days and President He is personally mentoring her. Maybe she got to the top through some kind of means."

"That's right. I heard she's just a senior intern. What skills could she possibly have? She must have used some tricks to seduce President He."

"This kind of person thinks they can take shortcuts just because they are good-looking."

Bai Yishu peeked through the slightly ajar door of the tea room and saw a woman who looked to be in her thirties and two other younger female employees cricketing behind her.

Bai Yishu had some impression of them. The older one seemed to be Zhang Ling, the head of the marketing department, and the other two were also colleagues from the marketing department.

Bai Yishu recalled that when she first came to the company and met Zhang Ling, Zhang Ling didn't seem to like her very much.

Even something as simple as asking her for a market research report can be met with various excuses for delays. In the end, she even turns the tables and deliberately blames Bai Yishu for the delayed submission of the report.

Bai Yishu didn't want to stoop to her level, but she never expected that today the woman would go even further and start spreading rumors.

She wanted to rush in and argue with them, but she thought that if she got into a conflict with them, the matter would definitely reach He Yun Shen's ears, and it might even have some negative consequences.

So she stood outside the tea room and deliberately coughed a few times so they could hear her.

Upon hearing the noise, Zhang Ling and the other employees immediately fell silent, pretending nothing had happened as they continued making tea. The few remaining people who had been watching the commotion also dispersed and returned to their workstations to get back to their tasks.

Bai Yishu returned to her workstation and started working. Although she was unhappy, she could turn a blind eye as long as these people didn't go too far.

She had several important data points to convert into spreadsheets today and didn't have time to care about other people's opinions. Before long, she focused on her work and put all the rumors she had heard that morning to the back of her mind.

In the afternoon, a marketing department employee placed a document on Bai Yishu's desk.

"This is what President He wants."

Just as she was about to turn and leave, she suddenly pushed over the documents on Bai Yishu's desk.

Those documents were all important materials she had compiled throughout the day, and they were to be delivered to the president's office later.

"Oh, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to."

The female employee immediately squatted down to pick up the scattered documents, and Bai Yishu also walked around the table to organize them.

"Okay, I've picked them all up. Check if anything is missing."

The female employee handed a stack of documents to Bai Yishu, her gaze lingering on the way Bai Yishu organized them.

Bai Yishu counted the number of documents and, after confirming that none were missing, put them back on the table.

"You didn't lose anything, did you? I'll be going now."

Seeing this, the female employee did not linger and walked straight towards the elevator.

After printing out the remaining documents, Bai Yishu sent them to the president's office along with the previous ones.

"Just put it there."

He Yun Shen was focused on the computer when he saw Bai Yi Shu come in, and gestured for her to put the files aside.

After Bai Yishu put down the documents, she left. About twenty minutes later, He Yunshen called her on the internal line.

"Come in, I have something to ask you."

He Yun Shen leaned back in his chair and looked at Bai Yi Shu as she entered, casting a scrutinizing glance at her.

He straightened up and held up a document in his hand.

"Have you checked this document?"

Bai Yishu stepped forward and saw the name on the document; it was a data analysis report she had compiled for the marketing department.

Bai Yishu nodded.

"It has been checked."

He Yunshen raised an eyebrow, seemingly unsurprised by her answer. He opened the document, pulled out a page from the middle, and handed it to Bai Yishu.

"Then tell me, what's going on with this data?"

Bai Yishu took the paper and quickly scanned the numbers on it, only to find that several places were completely different from what she had arranged back then.

Bai Yishu stood there, completely bewildered, unable to come up with a reasonable explanation for a long time, her hand holding the paper trembling slightly.

"This is……"

"Look carefully for yourself!"

He Yun Shen slammed the documents on the table, stood up abruptly, and his office chair crashed into the wall behind him.

He walked a few steps to Bai Yishu, his gaze sweeping across her face like a knife, his voice dropping to below zero, as if the temperature in the office had dropped several degrees.

"Such an obvious mistake, didn't you notice it during your inspection?"

Bai Yishu felt a prickling sensation on her back, and her palms began to sweat.

She checked all the data here several times before printing it out, so logically, this situation shouldn't have occurred.

Bai Yishu suddenly remembered the female employee who had knocked over the files on her desk that afternoon.

She works in the marketing department, and the error was made by the marketing department's data.

She just didn't have any evidence.

"I'm sorry, I'll take it back and redo it."

Just as Bai Yishu was about to take a step, He Yunshen grabbed her wrist with such force that it hurt her.

"Bai Yishu, is this your attitude towards doing things?"

He Yun Shen's eyes blazed with anger, yet he seemed to be trying his best to control it.

"Take it back and redo it? Do you know how much time that will waste?"

Bai Yishu bit her lower lip to try to calm herself down, but her voice still trembled uncontrollably.

"I...I'll get it done before I leave work."

He Yun Shen stared at her for a few seconds, his expression softening slightly.

He released her hand, but his voice remained icy.

"I want to see an accurate version before I leave work today. If there are any more problems, you know the consequences."

After leaving the office, Bai Yishu quickly returned to her workstation and began to reorganize the data.

Although she had a copy on her computer, she decided to create a new spreadsheet just in case.

She glanced at the incorrect document in her hand and was almost certain that it had been switched by that person when it fell to the ground.

Bai Yishu just couldn't understand why this woman, whom she didn't even know, would cause her trouble.

She thought about the conversation she overheard in the break room that morning, and a general direction came to her mind.

The document was completed just before the end of the workday, and Bai Yishu carefully checked it several times before delivering it to the office.

The office was empty except for a cup of coffee that had long since gone cold on the desk.

She placed the documents on the table, her gaze lingering on a corner of the view outside the window.

A moment later, she sniffed, whether out of anger at being framed or out of grievance at being misunderstood by He Yun Shen.

Bai Yishu left the office and walked straight to the floor of the technology department.
