Chapter 65 To Stay or to Leave?

Everyone in the hall had their eyes on the jade bottle on the table, unable to believe that it contained a fourth-grade pill.

Although these people rarely encounter even first or second-grade pills on a regular basis, this does not hinder their understanding of fourth-grade pills.

"Brother, is this really a fourth-grade pill?" Xiao Li asked Xiao Ding.

Xiao Ding gave a wry smile and said, "How would I know?"

As Xiao Ding spoke, he opened one of the jade bottles, and a rich fragrance of elixirs immediately gushed out, filling the entire hall with its aroma.

Xiao Ding let out a soft breath and said, "It's probably true!"

"Is this guy reliable?" Xiao Li asked his older brother, frowning.

Xiao Ding didn't answer, but instead looked at the burly man beside him and said, "Tell me about your experience outside just now!"

The burly man nodded and said, "Yes, Commander!"

"I was going to stop that person, but suddenly an extremely powerful aura surged from him. That aura, which terrified me, was definitely not something a Great Dou Master or Dou Ling expert could give me!"

Upon hearing the burly man's words, the people around him all gasped in shock.

Xiao Li frowned and said, "So, that boy can't possibly be a Dou Wang, can he? He's too young. Even if he's a genius, he shouldn't be this young, right?"

Xiao Ding sighed, "Don't underestimate the people of the world. The Dou Qi Continent is so vast; you have no idea how many geniuses there are!"

Xiao Li, however, remained somewhat unconvinced and said, "Even if it's true, there's no need for us to go to the capital with him, is there?"

Xiao Ding said, "You saw it yourself, he immediately offered a fourth-grade pill. If following him really offers a bright future, why not?"

"Most importantly, our Xiao family left from the capital back then. If we could really return to the capital, what an honor that would be! And have you forgotten about Xiao Yanzi?"

Xiao Ding's words immediately made Xiao Li's face darken.

"Isn't it just that little girl from the Nalan family who went to break off the engagement? Father wrote to us saying that my younger brother seems to be able to cultivate again now, so we don't need to worry about these things!" Xiao Li said.

Xiao Ding shook his head and said, "But this incident still serves as a wake-up call for us. If the Nalan family is like this, what if other families have conflicts with us? Will they react the same way?"

"True strength lies in our own strength. Only when we become strong can we measure up Wutan City and Stone Desert City."

Xiao Li fell silent, as did the other mercenary leaders present!

These people are all from the Gama Empire, but they have chosen to live in this place for survival.

If they find a better place to go, they don't want to continue living a life of constant danger.

"Two leaders, we're sticking with you. If you're willing to go to the capital, we'll go with you. If you're not, we'll stay here with you, drinking and eating meat, having a good time!" one of the leaders said.

……

After leaving the Mo Tie Mercenary Group with Qing Lin, Jia He found an inn in the city to stay at.

"Qinglin, I'm going to teach you a cultivation technique to help you begin your cultivation journey. You must study diligently, understand?"

Qinglin looked at Jiahe with a somewhat innocent expression and asked, "Brother, will I become very, very powerful?"

Jiahe rubbed Qinglin's little head and laughed, "Yes, you'll become very strong!"

Qinglin raised her little hand, clenched it into a fist, and said, "Then I will definitely cultivate hard, become strong, and protect my brother!"

"Really? That Azure Scale is amazing!" Gahe said with a smile.

Then Jiahe said, "Close your eyes. I will teach you the first half of this technique first. After you have memorized it, I will teach you the second half!"

Qinglin is a hybrid of human and snake-person. Her powerful eyes, such as the Azure Serpent Three-Flower Pupil, have extended her life to some extent.

The snake-human bloodline within her body provided the conditions for her to cultivate the Nuwa Spiritual Technique.

Qinglin sat cross-legged on the bed, closed her eyes, and waited quietly.

Jiahe lightly touched Qinglin's fair forehead with his finger, and a massive amount of information entered her mind.

Qinglin's little face immediately scrunched up, her head throbbed with pain, and her little hands clenched into fists, but she didn't make a sound.

Seeing the little girl gritting her teeth and persevering, Jiahe felt a pang of heartache.

She grasped the first half of the technique quickly, and Qinglin soon opened her eyes and looked at Jiahe, saying, "Brother, I've memorized it all!"

Gah smiled and nodded, saying, "Alright, I'll pass on the second half to you!"

About ten minutes later, Qinglin received the entire Nuwa Spiritual Technique.

Without any guidance from Jiahe, Qinglin began to circulate the technique on its own.

The surrounding energy was absorbed by Qinglin, and his cultivation level began to slowly increase.

Jiahe stood guard by his side, and after one night, Qinglin's strength stabilized at the eighth level of Dou Qi.

Seeing Qinglin open her eyes, Jiahe said, "After we return to the capital, I'll refine some spiritual liquid for your cultivation, and I'll also catch some snake-like magical beasts for you to keep as spirit pets!"

Qinglin tilted her head and asked curiously, "What's a spirit pet?"

"A spirit pet is a pet with a spirit, and your eyes are very powerful, so you can make use of them," Gah explained.

Qinglin nodded as if she understood, then said, "I think I understand!"

"Alright, I've cultivated enough. Take me out for a walk, and while we're at it, let's go ask the Desert Iron Mercenary Group what their decision is!" Jiahe said, looking at Qinglin.

Qinglin immediately perked up, jumping off the bed and saying, "Okay! Actually, I'm not very familiar with Stone Desert City. I've wanted to come out, but it seems like they don't like me!"

As she spoke, Qinglin's expression darkened.

Gah laughed and patted her head, saying, "Don't worry about what others think. You're an independent individual, and you should live for yourself!"

Qinglin stared blankly at Jiahe, a unique light shining in her emerald eyes, then nodded firmly and said, "Brother, I understand!"

"Let's go!" Gahe said, extending his hand.

A happy smile bloomed on Qinglin's face as she took Jiahe's hand, and the two walked outside.

The streets were bustling with people and filled with noise; it was still quite lively.

Qinglin happily pulled Jiahe along as they strolled around the streets, but they didn't buy anything.

Knowing that the girl didn't have much money, Jiahe bought all the things Qinglin liked.

"Buy it if you like it, I'm rich!" Jiahe laughed.

Qinglin pursed her lips, a hint of tears welling up in her eyes as she looked at Jiahe.

Just then, a lewd laugh suddenly rang out: "Oh, isn't this that little girl with snake-human blood from the Desert Iron Mercenary Group? Tsk tsk, that waist... just looking at it makes my blood boil!"

Qinglin hid behind Jiahe in fear, while Jiahe looked in the direction from which the sound came with a gloomy expression.

A dozen or so mercenaries dressed in uniform slowly walked over. The man in the lead had a gloomy face, and the voice just now came from him!
