Chapter 64 Xiao Ding, Xiao Li!

Qinglin looked at Jiahe and said softly, "I... I'm currently with the Mo Tie Mercenary Group. The leader and the others took me in, and I can't leave without a word!"

"The captain and the others have actually been very good to me. I don't know if I should leave!" Qinglin said softly.

Gah said, "If you want to leave, then I'll take you away. As for the commander, I'll talk to him. I guarantee no one will make things difficult for you!"

Qinglin looked at the older brother in front of her, blinked gently, and didn't know what to say.

"Why did you help me, brother?" Qinglin asked, looking up.

Gah laughed and said, "Little girl, do you think I'm a good person?"

Qinglin thought for a moment, then said, "Brother is a good person!"

"Haha, then just consider it me doing a good deed!" Jiahe said, pinching Qinglin's little nose.

Then Gahe pulled Qinglin up and said, "Take me to the Desert Iron Mercenary Group."

Qinglin nodded and said, "Okay, brother, come with me!"

Led by Qinglin, Jiahe soon saw a courtyard with a flag fluttering in the wind above it, bearing the words: Desert Iron Mercenary Group!

On the courtyard wall, several burly men, armed with weapons, scanned passersby with a hint of bloodlust in their eyes.

"He does have some presence, but unfortunately his strength is a bit weak!" Gahe muttered.

The burly man on the wall spotted Qinglin immediately. He frowned slightly, jumped down from the wall, and said, "Why did you go out again? Didn't I tell you not to go out unless it's absolutely necessary?"

Upon hearing this, Qinglin immediately became nervous and timidly whispered, "I... I just went out to buy some cloth!"

"You have to tell us what you're buying, or the team leader and the others will start nagging again!" the burly man scolded.

Jiahe stepped forward, blocking Qinglin's path, and said, "What? The Desert Iron Mercenary Group restricts people's personal freedom?"

"Who are you?" the burly man asked in a deep voice, looking at Gahe.

"I've come to see your mercenary group's leader, and by the way, to take Qinglin away from here!" Jiahe said calmly.

The burly man frowned and said, "Our mercenary group doesn't welcome strangers!"

"You can't refuse to welcome me!" Gahe chuckled, and then a terrifying aura emanated from his body.

The burly man in front of him was stunned, staring wide-eyed at Gahe.

That aura lasted only a moment, yet it left the burly man drenched in cold sweat, as if he had just walked off the edge of death.

"Take me to see your commander!" Gahe said softly.

"Yes, sir, please come with me!" The burly man snapped out of his daze and said with utmost respect.

Qinglin was still unaware of what had happened when the mercenary suddenly became extremely respectful, since the aura he had just exuded was only directed at this burly mercenary.

Jiahe led Qinglin into the courtyard. The mercenary group here was clearly well-managed, with many mercenaries training.

After turning through several alleys, a living room appeared in front of Gahe.

The burly man strode inside, followed closely by Jiahe. Once inside, they saw several people sitting in the living room. The two leading figures were likely the two leaders of the mercenary group, Xiao Ding and Xiao Li.

Xiao Ding was dressed in a white robe, his eyes filled with calmness and wisdom, while Xiao Li, though seemingly relaxed and lazy, had a wolf-like ruthlessness in his eyes.

The two brothers were able to carve out such a large mercenary group in this Stone Desert City, which shows they have some strength, but that's all!

The burly man walked up to Xiao Ding in a few steps and whispered a few words in his ear. Xiao Ding's eyes widened in shock at first, but then he calmed down.

Jiahe led Qinglin in slowly, while Xiao Ding rose to greet him, saying, "I was unaware of your arrival, sir. Please, take a seat!"

The leaders of the other mercenary groups standing nearby were somewhat puzzled as they watched their leaders treat this young man with such respect.

However, Xiao Li sensed something in his elder brother's expression and coldly scrutinized Jiahe.

Jiahe led Qinglin to the seat next to Xiao Ding and sat down. Qinglin stood obediently beside Jiahe.

"I've come here today because of Qinglin!" Jiahe said slowly.

Xiao Ding glanced at Qing Lin, then said, "I wonder how Qing Lin has offended you, sir?"

Gah laughed, "It's not that I'm offending you, it's that I want to take her away!"

"Take Qinglin away?" Xiao Ding was slightly taken aback, then said, "This is something we cannot decide; it depends on the little girl herself."

"As long as she wants to go with the adults, we won't stop her!" Xiao Ding said.

Jiahe nodded and said, "Alright, since that's the case, I'll take Qinglin with me. But I see that your aptitude is quite good. Would you be willing to come with me?"

Xiao Ding and Xiao Li's cultivation aptitude wasn't particularly good, but it wasn't bad either. However, they had been holed up in the Tagor Desert for so long that their talents had been somewhat buried.

Although Xiao Li only managed to raise his cultivation to the Dou Wang level by consuming the Life-Devouring Pill later on, this also proves how ruthless he is from the bottom of his heart!

Being ruthless to oneself gives one an edge over others in self-cultivation.

"Me?" Xiao Ding was slightly taken aback.

Gah nodded and said, "That's right, besides you, there's that other one!"

Jiahe pointed to Xiao Li beside him, and Xiao Ding frowned and said, "May I ask where you come from, sir?"

"The Holy City of the Gama Empire!" Gah said slowly.

The people around immediately widened their eyes, some exclaiming in surprise, "From the capital?"

Xiao Ding suddenly looked at Jia He and asked, "Sir, are you perhaps from the Yunlan Sect?"

Possessing strength comparable to a Dou Wang and being so young, Xiao Ding couldn't think of any other force in the Jia Ma Empire besides the Yunlan Sect!

Jiahe shook his head and said, "I have no connection with the Yunlan Sect. If there is any connection, it is an enemy relationship!"

Hearing Jiahe's words, Xiao Ding was somewhat puzzled, as this was indeed different from what he had imagined.

However, Xiao Ding still declined, saying, "I appreciate your kindness, sir, but my brother and I prefer freedom and are used to being unrestrained here. We don't want to go to the capital and cause any trouble!"

Gah asked, "And what about the rest of your mercenary group? Are they all willing to live a life of constant danger around the Tagor Desert?"

Xiao Ding was stunned for a moment, not knowing what to say.

"The mercenaries of the Desert Iron Mercenary Group who have good talent can join the force I created. As for those who are less talented, I have some connections with the Mittel family, so you can go and work as guards for the Mittel family. What do you say?" Gahe said calmly.

Xiao Ding looked at Jiahe with some surprise, not expecting that he had a connection with the Mittel family.

"Could we discuss this matter internally within our mercenary group?" Xiao Ding hesitated for a moment before looking at Jiahe and asking.

Jiahe nodded, and with a gentle swipe of his storage ring, two jade bottles appeared on the table. He said, "In this one are some Qi-restoring pills, and in the other are two Grade Four pills, the Three-Pattern Azure Spirit Pills, which can help you advance to the strength of a Great Dou Master!"

"Consider this your way of thanking Qinglin for taking care of her all these years. If you've made up your mind, come find me!" Jiahe said, then pulled Qinglin outside.
