Chapter 35 Amorline's Admonition

The restaurant was clean and tidy, filled with the aroma of food.

Huo Jixing looked down at the bent knife and fork in his hand, then at the food piled on his plate, smelling the bread and roast meat.

His thoughts drifted back to the Noxian camp, back to the icy Freljord, back to the bloody battle.

The curved silver cutlery rested on the plate, making a crisp sound as it touched the plate.

Huo Jixing swallowed the last of his food and said softly, "Thank you for your kindness, Mr. Gregory."

Although his life had been peaceful and comfortable during this period, with him honing his skills by day and meditating on himself by night, he seemed to prefer the feeling of being on the battlefield.

Besides, he wants to improve his [Talent - Star Spirit - Vermilion Bird] even faster.

The battlefield is his only option at this stage.

The sound of Amoline's voice made Huo Jixing pause in his departure before his figure disappeared into the wind and snow.

"Roses?"

We left the village along the muddy dirt road.

Huo Jixing stopped on a snow-covered hill where he could no longer see, and quietly looked back at the snow-covered village.

This learning trip truly benefited him greatly.

Huo Jixing recalled the stone palace in his dream and the raging flames.

And then there's Amorline's final mention of the ubiquitous roses.

"It's beyond my power!" Huo Jixing sighed inwardly.

With his current power, he cannot change Amoryn's fate; he can only frighten away the being in his nightmare, making the other party wary.

This is one of the reasons why he left.

He needs to experience the bloody baptism of the battlefield, win more battle merits, and acquire more extraordinary items to enhance his own power.

Huo Jixing gazed intently at the wooden houses in the village, clenched his fist, and a burst of crimson-gold flames appeared, dispelling the chill around him.

He then quietly walked away.
