HP: Wormwood and Lightning Wood
Chapter 101 Voldemort's Resurrection
West looked away and gently touched Draco's arm.
Draco pursed his lips and suddenly said, "Wester, I need to talk to you. Come here for a moment." With that, he walked down from the stands first.
Pansy was surprised and slightly raised her body, wanting to ask Draco what he was going to do, but was stopped by West's gaze and obediently sat back down.
West followed Draco out of the stands and into a corner.
Draco felt a chill run down his spine.
"Don't turn around. He's staring at you," West whispered.
Draco knew who West was talking about. He took the key from his pocket, handed it to West, and breathed a sigh of relief, as if he had gotten rid of a hot potato.
"Is that all?" Draco muttered to himself.
West nodded. They were just putting on an act to avoid arousing Barty Crouch Jr.'s suspicions.
West let Draco return to the stands first.
As soon as Draco sat down, a red flame exploded in the sky above the maze.
Professor McGonagall and Mrs. Hodge rushed inside immediately.
Everyone held their breath, their hearts pounding with excitement. They were about to learn the ultimate winner of the Triwizard Cup.
Soon, Professor McGonagall and Mrs. Hodge led a student out of the maze.
After recognizing who it was, the Hufflepuff students sighed in regret.
Cedric looked anxious and was saying something to Professor McGonagall. Professor McGonagall frowned, turned, and walked over to Dumbledore.
They seemed to be talking about something. The students peered around curiously.
"Where's Harry?" Ron asked, puzzled. "He should have won the Triwizard Tournament by now... right?"
Hermione stared at Professor McGonagall and Dumbledore's constantly twitching lips.
"The Portkey... Harry... is missing..."
"Something's happened..." Hermione murmured, "Harry seems to be...missing..."
"Huh?" Ron's eyes widened.
Draco turned to look at the spot where West had just been standing and found that West had also disappeared.
The two door keys are set to trigger together; activating one key will trigger the other.
At that moment, Dumbledore and Snape moved simultaneously. Before everyone's eyes, they swiftly and magically subdued Professor Moody.
"What is this?! Albus! Severus!" Professor McGonagall exclaimed, her eyes filled with bewilderment.
"Albus, what's wrong with you?" Moody's Mystic Eyes darted around, then flashed eerily before fixing on Snape's face. "Are you getting old? Have you been bewitched by this Death Eater? I told you, he's not trustworthy..."
Snape was already feeling annoyed, and hearing these words ignited a fire within him that burned from his chest to his limbs. He took a deep breath and kicked Moody hard in the stomach.
The students in the stands gasped, their gasps and screams completely drowning out Moody's muffled groan.
"Hey! Severus!" Dumbledore was also startled, and pretended to stop Snape, afraid that he would kill him.
Snape crouched down, the tip of his wand lightly tapping Crouch's back, his venomous voice ringing in Crouch's ear, "Barty Crouch Jr., is it fun to keep up this act?"
Crouch paused for a moment, then suddenly burst out laughing. "When did you guys find out?"
His eyes blazed with fanaticism, his voice maniacal, "Too bad! It's all too late! My plan has succeeded! The Dark Lord's return is inevitable! This is the predetermined fate!"
Crouch tilted his head and looked at Snape. "Poor savior Harry Potter, and your good student West Potter, will both die at the hands of their master today."
With a dizzying spin, Harry crashed to the ground. He braced himself with his hands on the ground and rolled over to avoid a hard fall and a close encounter with the earth.
He stood up, gripping his wand tightly.
Harry realized he was standing in a dark, overgrown cemetery, with a tall yew tree to his right. Behind the yew, he could vaguely make out the dark outline of a small chapel.
To the left is a hill, on which sits an exquisite old house.
So it's quite clear where this is. This is the Riddle family cemetery.
Soon, two slender, tall figures emerged from the shadows.
Their faces became clear in the dim light of the night—a woman with long black hair and a man with a haggard face.
The woman was holding something that looked like a baby, wrapped in black clothes.
The Lestranges.
Harry thought. His gaze fell on Bella's arms.
"Voldemort," Harry said calmly.
He tilted his head. "Or should I call you Tom Riddle?"
"How dare you! How dare you address your master by her name!" Bella shrieked, raising her wand. "Crunch in the Heart!"
Harry was hit and collapsed to the ground, convulsing.
"Hurry up, Bella," he heard Voldemort's shrill voice commanding Bella.
Soon, Harry was dragged along by Rodolphus for a while, then slammed against a tombstone. Rodolphus then placed a tight headband on him.
"Why is it just him?" Bella asked.
"Looks like your useless nephew messed up his master's mission." Rodolphs seemed somewhat gloating.
"This is not the time for you to gossip!" Voldemort's cold voice rang out, and Rodolphus immediately fell silent.
Harry opened his eyes slightly, his gaze clear and devoid of any pain—the alchemical artifacts West had given him were more than enough to withstand the Crucifixion; he was merely putting on an act in front of Voldemort to lower their guard.
This is Tom Riddle's tombstone. Harry sighed. What kind of resurrection method has Voldemort come up with? Is he going to dig up his father's grave too?
Harry's wand was kicked away by Rodolphus and landed next to the Triwizard Cup. Harry gritted his teeth, hoping that West wouldn't cause any trouble.
Harry secretly watched the Lestranges' actions.
They dragged out a huge crucible large enough to hold an adult, filled with an unknown liquid.
Flames leaped up from beneath the cauldron, and Voldemort began to pant excitedly, seemingly eager to welcome a new life.
A giant snake slithered out of the darkness, circled Harry once, and then silently slithered back into the darkness.
Harry's ears suddenly caught a faint sound—a cold, sharp sound, like the clang of a blade cutting through the air.
"It's ready, Master," Rodolphus's respectful voice rang out.
"Hurry!" Voldemort urged.
His hood had slipped down, revealing a horrifying body and face.
He had no hair, his skin was dark reddish, his arms and legs were thin and soft, and he had a flat snake face with a pair of gleaming red eyes that emitted an eerie light in the darkness.
Bella carried Voldemort to the cauldron and carefully placed him inside.
Bella squinted and murmured, "Your father's bones, donated unintentionally, can give your son a second life!"
The grave beneath Harry's feet cracked open, and a wisp of ashes rose into the air before gently falling into the cauldron.
Harry: ...He guessed right.
Immediately afterwards, Bella took out a dagger. "The flesh of your servant, donated voluntarily, can bring your master back to life!" Without saying a word, she cut off a piece of flesh from her arm, revealing the stark white bone.
Harry couldn't help but gasp, "Hiss—"
Rodolphus noticed Harry's awakening and dragged him over.
"The blood of your enemies, forced upon you, can bring them back to life!" Bella, holding a dagger, grinned as she slashed a long gash across Harry's arm.
Blood droplets rolled down, falling into the crucible and mixing with the fiery red liquid, which quickly turned milky white.
In a dazzling white light, a tall, slender figure rose from the liquid, and the face gradually became clear in Harry's vision.
It was a face Harry knew well, appearing in every one of his nightmares, haunting him like a recurring nightmare.
Voldemort has been resurrected.
