Why did you provoke me?
Chapter 68 is in trouble
Li Yiqing had originally planned to give the weapons to Jiang Mingfeng, and since Jiang Mingfeng brought it up now, Li Yiqing felt he should add some conditions.
Dali watched the two brothers whispering to each other with a blank expression.
Li Yiqing glanced at Dali out of the corner of his eye. His heart skipped a beat, and he quickly put away his previous thoughts. "Alright, if you can persuade Dali, these weapons are yours."
"Okay. I know my cousin always keeps his word, I'll go over and persuade Dali right now." Jiang Mingfeng scurried over to Dali again.
The two of them said something, but Dali suddenly kicked Jiang Mingfeng. Jiang Mingfeng bowed and kowtowed repeatedly, and it took him a while to calm Dali down.
Jiang Mingfeng gave an OK sign on the other end. Li Yiqing finally felt relieved.
He felt his life was too difficult; he had to keep the elders happy on one hand and the children pleased on the other. In the end, despite all his hard work and effort, he gained nothing. He felt he had made a bad deal this time. But then he thought of the people who had come to him asking for spots, and a smile involuntarily crept onto his face.
Dali stood on the stage, an assistant helping her adjust the backdrop. She murmured to herself, "These are just stones and clods of earth, devoid of feeling. I don't need to treat them as people."
The assistant didn't hear clearly and was about to ask what she said when she saw Dali with her eyes closed, seemingly doing something.
"Teacher, we can begin," the assistant whispered to Dali.
Dali took a deep breath. Her younger sister was right, just do it. Opening her eyes, Dali first introduced herself. Then she began to explain the most basic techniques, just as her younger sister had taught her.
Xia Xuan and Chu Qinghe sat in the front row. To be honest, they didn't think Dali could answer those crucial questions.
As we all know, the outer layer of a stone is difficult to peel off, but once peeled off, it has many uses. It's a treasure trove. You see, stone is one of the most abundant things in the world. While not everywhere, it's ubiquitous and comes in all shapes and sizes.
Of course, there are many clever people. They heard that this was a big class on how to peel off the skin of a stone, so many people brought a stone with them.
You can imagine everyone sitting upright in their seats, with a stone on their laps and stroking it with both hands.
When Dali explained how to use finger vibrations, she noticed that everyone in the first two rows of seats had a stone on their lap. Seeing this, she paused for a moment. It was so funny; suddenly, she no longer felt nervous or scared.
So her teaching style changed. She no longer explained things mechanically step by step, but instead she also had a stone in her hand, and taught everyone how to peel off the surface of the stone through on-site teaching.
She demonstrated it herself, finger to finger, over and over again. Only when no one said she couldn't do it did she move on to the next step.
The lesson lasted a full three hours. When the lesson was announced to be over, everyone was holding a piece of dough they had peeled off themselves. Everyone's face was beaming with joy, and everyone shouted, "Thank you, teacher!"
What was most touching was that everyone brought the pieces of stone they had peeled off to the stage as a thank you gift to Dali, and bowed to express their gratitude on the spot.
This scene left Dali at a loss, and she stared straight at Li Yiqing.
When Li Yiqing saw the results, they were far better than he had imagined. He immediately instructed his assistant and a few others to help Dali maintain order.
Dali stepped back, wiping the sweat from her forehead. This was the first time she'd ever seen anything like it; it was just too enthusiastic.
"Teacher, you've worked hard. Here's some water, please have some." A woman next to her handed Dali a teacup.
"Thank you, I was a little thirsty." Dali thanked her and took the teacup, taking a big gulp.
"There are chairs over there, let me take you there to rest for a while. Judging from your appearance, you probably won't be able to get out anytime soon." The girl smiled and gently helped Dali to the side.
Dali looked at the long queue, and more than half of the people had not yet reached the stage. She shook her head helplessly.
As she followed the person to the side, Dali felt a little dizzy. Looking back at the girl beside her, she thought the girl's smile was eerie.
Dali's heart skipped a beat. A bad feeling washed over her. She was about to scream when someone covered her mouth. "We don't mean anything by it, we just want you to come over. We won't hurt you."
Dali was completely plunged into darkness.
It wasn't until an hour later that Li Yiqing and the others finished everything. When they went back to look for Dali, she was already gone.
"Xiaofeng, where's your wife?" Li Yiqing asked, turning around as he looked at the pile of boxes in front of him.
"Cousin, I'm looking for her too. I've been looking for ages and I still don't know where she went. We don't know anyone here, where could she have gone?" Jiang Mingfeng had searched every corner of the podium, but he just couldn't find Dali.
"Cousin, I hope nothing bad has happened?" Jiang Mingfeng's voice trembled.
"No, don't panic, I'll go find someone to help." Neither of them spoke, and they hurriedly ran outside.
He arrived at the door of an office. Li Yiqing calmed himself down before knocking.
"Come in." A deep voice came from inside the house.
"Minister He, the lecturer is missing. We've searched everywhere but haven't found him," Li Yiqing explained succinctly.
"What? When was it discovered?" Upon hearing Li Yiqing's words, the old man hurriedly stood up and walked outside.
"The students were so enthusiastic this time, they wanted to give all the stone skins they had to Dali, and they all crowded onto the stage. There were so many people that we couldn't take care of her," Li Yiqing said as he walked behind the old man. "We only realized Dali was missing when my little cousin ran over to ask me just now.
"How long has it been since the large lecture ended? When did he disappear? Did you notice?" Minister He walked quickly, but his voice was steady.
"We were still talking for half an hour after class ended," Jiang Mingfeng chimed in.
"That means she disappeared within the next hour. Let's go find Director Ren." Minister He was furious. This was incredibly audacious; they dared to take someone away right under their noses.
Jiang Mingfeng panicked at this moment, grabbing Li Yiqing's sleeve. "Cousin, Dali will be alright, right?" If they weren't here, he probably would have already burst into tears.
"Everything will be alright," Li Yiqing said confidently, but a chill ran down his spine.
Dali would never go with a stranger, so either this person knows Dali, or Dali has been confused by them.
"Dali would have told me if she was leaving. She said it when we came: she would go back to help her younger sister after finishing her class," Jiang Mingfeng said, his voice trembling with tears.
Hearing Jiang Mingfeng's words, Li Yiqing was certain that Dali had been knocked unconscious.
