Why did you provoke me?

Chapter 344 Good Intentions Almost Backfired

Jing Er didn't know how to explain it, but he had really lost control of the lines just now.

Finally, Yu Er sighed, "Alright, stop making that face. You'd better talk to Teacher Yu about this; it could be fatal in a critical moment."

Jing Er nodded. "Just now, the hairs on my body stood on end. I really wasn't lying to you."

The two squatted down to catch their breath. "Senior Brother, should we go look for those people?"

"Why would we need to contact them? What if we alert them and they take back the lines?"

Yu Er pointed to the large net in the sky, "Didn't you notice how much lower that net has fallen? Who knows what bad things might happen if it lands on Third Brother and the others?"

"You mean, we're going to cause trouble?"

"Of course, we don't need to do everything. With such a large network, if even one person is missing, it will go out of control," Yu Er said, looking like a wise man.

"Really?" Jing Er looked at him skeptically.

"What good would it do me to trick you? Besides, if we could catch them alive, wouldn't we be able to trace them back to their hideout?" Yu Er rubbed his hands together. "Couldn't we also achieve a great feat like Third Brother and his gang?"

Upon hearing this, both Jing Er and Yu Er's breathing became much heavier.

Since the sect was established, it seems that their group has not made any significant contributions.

Jing Er agreed after only a brief consideration.

"Yu Er, how do we find them? Do you have a method?"

"I don't have one, but Big Guy Lei Er does. When he's at home, he's the best hunter. Finding someone for him is a piece of cake."

The group gathered together, and Yu Er shared his thoughts.

Lei Er was the first to raise his hand in agreement, "Let's do it! We're the senior brothers, so we have to set an example. Last time, Secretary Wu only let us play support roles because we had no choice."

The others nodded in agreement. "Anyway, their lines are all in the air right now. If we reach them, it shouldn't be a big problem."

"Don't forget, we have guns."

"Then it's decided. If Teacher Yu blames me, I'll take the blame." Jing Er was showing the responsibility of a senior brother at this moment.

Yu Er's eyes nearly rolled up. "Please, that's the enemy. As long as we catch them, how could Teacher Yu possibly blame us? Unless you want to be caught?"

Lei Er grew impatient. "Stop babbling and just get to work."

Yu Er approached Lei Er and asked, "It's so dark, will we be able to find anyone?"

"Who do you think you are? Be quiet and control your breathing." Lei Er sat down on the ground and closed his eyes.

After a while, he opened his eyes. "Let's go. We're not sure of the exact location yet, but we'll be heading in the right direction."

"Go! Stay close. The last person cleans up any traces." Jing Er decisively gave the order.

Yu Meng stood on the treetop and watched as Jing Er and the others wandered around until they ended up not far from the four people to the west.

Yu Meng became interested. Were they actively looking for trouble? Judging from their movements, they really did seem to have a purpose.

Jing Er and the others were stunned; they had already seen the people standing on the open grass.

Everyone gave Lei Er a thumbs up, "You're the best in this regard!"

Lei Er proudly raised his head, "Call me 'brother' and let me hear it."

"Gun!" Jing Er uttered a single word.

"Distribute the attacks properly, don't let them all hit the same person," Yu Er whispered a reminder.

Everyone ignored Lei Er's request. He wasn't annoyed; he just smiled sheepishly.

After adjusting their positions, the group began communicating using their communication bells.

"Are you done yet?"

"alright."

Jing Er stared at the communication ringtone, typed the words "fire" and then pressed send.

The moment the communication bell vibrated, the distinctive sound of the tranquilizer gun carried far into the quiet night.

Almost instantly, all four of them collapsed to the ground.

Jing Er's people, however, remained completely still.

The intercom vibrated again.

"Something's not right. Don't they have any guards?"

"Don't move, wait."

Yu Meng looked at the four people on the ground, and then at the large net.

She didn't know whether she should praise these people or blame them for ruining things.

The moment the four people fell to the ground, the large net in the sky lost control, and the large net in the west fell instantly.

Jing Er was dumbfounded. "Yu, Yu Er, I, we seem to have gotten into trouble."

Yu Er was also bewildered. "What do we do then?"

Yu Meng sighed, floated above the four people, and slowly descended. "Jing Er, come here," she called out.

Upon hearing Yu Meng's voice, Jing Er shuddered and said in a trembling voice, "She's here."

He then looked at Yu Er and asked in a low voice, "What should we do?"

Yu Er looked at him and mechanically shook his head. "I don't know."

Lei Er, standing to the side, also shrank his neck and said, "You guys told me to find it."

"Come here, everyone," Yu Meng's voice came again.

Several people approached Yu Meng with their heads hanging low.

"Teacher Yu, did we do something wrong?" Jing Er's voice was very soft.

"No," Yu Meng replied, suppressing a laugh as she looked at them. Then she got down to business, "Take your lines back; I'll teach you how to hold up this net."

Eleven people were divided into two rows, and the lines were wrapped around the large net according to Yu Meng's requirements.

"Just maintain this height. When you get tired, absorb the energy from the net. This energy can be transmitted back to your body through the lines. Try to feel it carefully. If you can do this, when we get back to the club, I'll teach him how to glide."

Yu Meng painted a big picture for them, then slowly rose into the air and disappeared into the night.

"It can really fly?" someone sighed.

"Can we do it too?"

"Listen up, everyone, we mustn't let the enemy wipe us out in one fell swoop."

"Do you think Teacher Yu is giving us a chance? With her abilities, this net is something she deliberately set up for us to exploit, isn't it?"

The sound of the tranquilizer gun alerted everyone. Nian Nian was the first to notice that the net to the west had fallen. Before she could figure out what was going on, the net was stabilized again.

Jing San found her and said, "We should withdraw from this trap. Once it falls, we won't be able to avoid anything that might happen."

Just then, another tranquilizer gunshot rang out.

Niannian frowned. "Fourth Sister said this is a formation. She looked at Fourth Nine beside her and said, 'Ask Fourth Three Two if he hasn't found the formation's core yet?'"

Jing San looked at her and explained in a muttered voice, "Even if the formation is broken and the net falls down, it doesn't matter."

Si Jiu shook his head. "I asked him, and he said the key to the formation was hidden in the lines, which he couldn't see through. He also said that the person who set up the formation was a genius. His ideas were so imaginative that he couldn't compare."

Liu Wei's voicemail suddenly crackled to life: "There's something in the lines I absorbed, it looks like the same one as last time, keep an eye out?"

"Did it get into your lines?" Niannian asked hurriedly.

"No, almost. I just felt the energy there was impure and wanted to withdraw, but then I realized something was holding my lines back." Liu Wei's tone still carried a hint of lingering fear.

Niannian stared at the vast net in the night sky, trying hard to recall what Yu Meng had taught her. Suddenly, her eyes lit up. She looked at Jing San, "How much energy did your lines absorb? Are they holding up?"

"You have a solution?"

"Hehe, now that we're full, let's get to work." Nian Nian smiled mysteriously.
