Why did you provoke me?

Chapter 343 The Great Net Provided a Feast

Yu Meng listened to the conversation of the four people and was speechless.

Who was so talented as to design such a stupid formation? It involved too many people, took too much time, and had too many flaws. Most importantly, what made them think there would be a group of people just standing there waiting for them to set up the formation and then slaughter them?

Yu Meng was thinking about these things when she saw Jing San and her group of people.

Yu Meng felt heartbroken. She was wrong. Those silly people were from her sect, her own little sisters whom she had personally taught.

The more she thought about it, the angrier she became. She made a decision: unless someone died, she would never help them again.

In this battle of wits and courage, she was actually outmatched.

Yu Meng completely forgot that the opposing team was fighting on home ground, had more people, stronger firepower, and most importantly, was well-prepared.

Jing San and the others on the ground were unaware that Yu Meng had already categorized them as stupid.

They were whispering to each other, "This thing doesn't look good at all; we absolutely can't let it fall on us."

"Anyone can see that. The key question is, what do we do? Is it too late for us to run?"

"If you were running alone, it shouldn't be a problem, but what about these injured brothers? Should we give up?"

Niannian didn't participate in the discussion. Her little gray cat had already snuggled close to the large net and then melted into it, becoming a line within the net.

Niannian silently counted to three, but Little Grey didn't notice anything wrong. Emboldened, Niannian's Second Grey also found its own spot.

While the group was discussing, the lines of the pen were acting as invisible wings, melting one by one into the large net.

Si Jiu, seeing Niannian standing there motionless, slowly approached and whispered, "Niannian, what are you looking at? Who do you think is right?"

Niannian then lowered her head and looked at Jing San and the others, "Which of your lines can absorb energy?"

"Jing San looked around and figured it should be fine."

"Are you sure?" Niannian asked again.

Jing San nodded to her teammates, and Liu Wei's teammates also nodded.

"Then what are you waiting for? The giant net in the sky is our feast! Don't you want some?"

"Huh?" Everyone was stunned.

"What?! They're not going to attack us directly, but instead they're setting up this whole mess. There must be some kind of restriction involved. This is our chance."

Fourth Sister said that only the lines of our sect can absorb energy, and the lines themselves can advance by absorbing energy. Now that the opportunity is right in front of us, you're still arguing. Half of my lines are already online.

Everyone's eyes turned to Niannian, their resentment seemingly about to engulf her.

"Why are you looking at me? Someone has to scout ahead for you. I'll call you if it's not safe here," Niannian said matter-of-factly.

Jing San stood up. "That's not what we meant. We can't learn your techniques, the skills of bone painters. Without your guidance, how could we have come up with these ideas?"

He gently patted Niannian's head before saying, "Should we divide up the territory? It wouldn't be good if we all gathered together and the enemy found out."

"Hmph, if you have other ideas, I'll enjoy this kind of good thing myself next time." Nian Nian raised her little head proudly.

To be honest, if Si Jiu hadn't pulled her back, she would have completely forgotten about these people; the lavish meal in front of her had captured all her attention.

Hearing these words, even the wounded soldiers perked up and became eager to fight.

Jing San sent messages to Liu Wei and Zhang Zhen, informing them of Niannian's discovery.

Liu Wei was delighted; he could handle that. But Zhang Zhen's face darkened completely. His lines couldn't even pierce through ore, let alone absorb it.

But he knew how to handle people. He sent a message in the group, "I'm still a bit lacking in experience. You guys can absorb the energy without worry. With you keeping things in check, I'll be responsible for finding people."

The group of twenty-odd people stopped gathering together and split up in pairs.

Yu Meng saw all of this from above. Although she didn't know what tactics they had arranged, not gathering together was already the first step in countering the big net.

Everyone concealed themselves, with occasional soft complaints: "This net is falling too slowly; I still can't reach it."

"Sigh, don't say anything, mine is just right."

"Bro, how do we do it? Just absorb it directly?"

"How many strands can your line penetrate?"

"Isn't absorption only possible at the tips of the lines?"

"No, I strung four strands together, and the strands themselves can also absorb the energy."

……

The tiny voices were exchanging their experiences in absorbing energy.

Jing Er and the others outside the large net also saw the large net.

Jing Er's lines were the first to show signs of movement, but at first, she managed to suppress them.

But Yu Er's eyesight was sharp. "Senior Brother, why does that line on the big net look so much like Third Brother's?"

"Yes, it's his. He has several scars on his skin, and they're all in the right places." The person next to him confirmed it as well.

"What are they doing? Helping the enemy weave a net?"

After listening to their words, Jing Er had already let go of her inhibitions.

Well, the moment Jing Er let go, the line shot up into the large net in the sky, and then her whole body was pressed against the surface of the net.

Hidden in the shadow of the tree, Jing Er carefully sensed his own lines. In just a moment, he understood why the lines were so impatient.

Jing Er looked at Yu Er and the others, "Sneak your lines onto the big net, there's a feast of lines there."

"Damn, Third Brother is so unfair, he forgot about us when this was a good thing." Someone muttered.

As soon as Jing Er's lines appeared on the big net, Yu Meng noticed them immediately. Yu Meng raised her eyebrows. This Jing Er is something else! She's not as stupid as she thought. It's just that her lines are so obviously lying there, too conspicuous.

Sigh, whatever, I'll help him out.

Yu Meng's fingers trembled, and a thread went out and entangled Jing Er's thread, pulling her directly into the large net.

Jing Er, who was standing on the ground, suddenly stood up straight, and her feet unconsciously took a few steps.

"Senior Brother, what's wrong?" Yu Er grabbed him and asked anxiously.

"I... my lines are tangled up, I can't control them anymore." Jing Er's voice trembled violently.

He roughly pulled at Yu Er, "Let go, I need to go see what's going on!"

"Don't get agitated, I'm with you. Don't worry, Teacher Yu is here, nothing will happen," Yu Er said incoherently, trying to comfort her.

"Senior Brother, can you sense the location of the lines now?"

Jing Er nodded. "Yes."

"Is it injured?"

"It doesn't seem so. Hmm, I think I'm working again."

Yu Er stared blankly at Jing Er, "Second Brother, is it really working?"

"Alright." Jing Er nodded affirmatively.

Yu Er punched him hard. "Come here and feel the cold sweat on my body. You scared me to death."

Jing Er looked at him sheepishly, "I didn't lie to you, the lines really did get tangled just now."

Yu Er had a look on his face that said, "Do you believe me?"
