Hogwarts' Golden Glory

Chapter 99 The Gift of the Weasley Twins

Kane raised an eyebrow, a hint of surprise flashing across his face: "Wait, Neville, you just said... the Forbidden Forest?"

His voice held a hint of surprise, "I didn't expect you to know about the unicorns in the Forbidden Forest."

It's clear that Neville Gryffindor's true nature has been revealed.

Neville's face flushed slightly, his fingers unconsciously stroking Rafer's back. "It was... Hagrid who told me. After Herbalism class last month, he mentioned seeing unicorn hoofprints at the edge of the Forbidden Forest..."

Just then, the door to the private room was suddenly pulled open.

Hermione burst in, carrying a stack of books: "Finally found you! What are you two talking about... I think I heard a unicorn from the Forbidden Forest!"

Her words trailed off as her gaze fell on the parchment in Kane's hand. "What is this?"

Before Kane could even put away the blueprints, Hermione had already stepped forward, her sharp gaze sweeping over the complex runes: "Soul magic circle? Kane Malfoy, do you know how dangerous this level of dark magic is?"

Neville quickly explained, "Hermione, it's not what you think! Kane was helping me..."

"Help you with what? Help you venture into the Forbidden Forest to find the unicorn?"

Hermione's voice suddenly rose, drawing the attention of students passing by in the corridor.

She lowered her voice, but her tone became even harsher: "Are you all insane? The Forbidden Forest isn't just home to unicorns, but also werewolves, snakes, and other dangerous creatures that only Merlin knows about!"

Kane slowly rolled up the parchment: "Miss Granger, I think you've misunderstood..."

"I'm not mistaken!" Hermione snatched the parchment, quickly scanning its contents. "'Aura Resonance'? This isn't healing magic at all!"

"I read about it in 'The Forbidden Ancient Magic,' it's a dark magic used by medieval black wizards to extract other people's memories!"

Neville's face turned deathly pale instantly, and Rafer in his arms squirmed restlessly.

"Kane? Really?"

Kane suddenly chuckled, "Granger, you're reading the 1760 revised edition, aren't you?"

He pulled out the book he had shown Neville earlier. "This is an original document from the Egyptian Academy of Magic, which clearly records the structure of the purified spell."

Hermione took the book suspiciously and quickly flipped through it. Her brows gradually relaxed, but soon furrowed again: "Even if the spell itself is not the problem, how do you plan to obtain the unicorn's tears? You know, going to the Forbidden Forest is a violation of school rules."

"perhaps......"

Before Kane could finish speaking, Hermione saw a small head peek out from Kane's coat pocket.

"Merlin's beard!"

Hermione's scream nearly made Neville fall off his seat.

The book in her hand fell to the ground with a "thud".

"This is...this is..."

Hermione's voice caught in her throat, and her fingers unconsciously tugged at her curly hair.

"Igor," Kane introduced softly, as Phoenix affectionately nuzzled his fingers, "my travel companion."

Hermione's lips trembled, her academic instincts finally overcoming her shock: "This can't be a phoenix, can it? But Fawkes' feathers are golden-red."

Her voice suddenly choked up.

As Igor spread his wings, the box was suddenly filled with tiny specks of light, each reflecting a different starry sky pattern.

Kane caught a point of light in mid-air, which transformed into a feather like an ice crystal in his palm: "This is a phoenix, unique to the Arctic Circle. Mr. Newt Scamander mentioned it in his private notes."

......

Kane had just stepped into the castle hall when he was blocked by two pairs of identical blue eyes that gleamed with mischievous light.

"Hey, look who's here?"

Fred Weasley leaned against his armor, twirling a screaming Galleon between his fingers.

"Our dear investor—" George drawled out, suddenly appearing from behind Kane.

"Merlin's beard!"

George nearly dropped his wand. "Malfoy's holding a glowing turkey?"

"That's a phoenix, you idiot." Fred nudged his brother away with his elbow, his eyes fixed on Iger. "What a cool pet!"

Kane raised an eyebrow, looking at Fred, who was almost touching Igor.

"cough......"

Fred snapped out of his reverie and asked, "How's our gift, Malfoy?"

"I plan to open it when both of you are here," Kane said, taking out the gift box. "After all, I don't know if I'll grow feathers if I open your gifts alone."

Fred pretended to wipe away tears: "You've broken our hearts, Malfoy!"

"Kane, you absolutely have to break him up. Trust in our character!"

George said seriously.

"What about your character?" Kane asked, looking at the two men.

He didn't think either of them had any good character!

"We promise! If there's no surprise, we'll never play a prank again!"

Seeing their assurances, Kane decided to open it and take a look.

If there's any danger, let those two take it!

So the three of them found a place to sit down.

Kane slowly untied the ribbon under the twins' intense gaze.

"Merlin, hurry up!" George frantically tugged at his hair. "I'm about to put five 'Open Now' spells into the box!"

The moment the gift box popped open, a set of bronze keys flew out.

The key handle is finely engraved with the cursive letters "WW&KM".

Even more remarkably, when Kane held them, the keys suddenly began playing the tune of "Wealth Comes Rolling In".

"This is……?"

Fred and George put their arms around his shoulders, one on each side, their voices unusually earnest and excited:

"Welcome to the third owner of The Weasleys' Magical Tricks!"

George magically unfolded a piece of parchment.

A three-story model of Hogsmeade Village emerges from the blueprints, with a sign on the roof prominently displaying the words "Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes & Malfoy's Marvels".

"The Weasley Studios and the Miracles of Malfoy!"

The miniature figures in the model are moving between the shelves, tossing and catching exploding quill pens and biting teacups.

"The basement is our laboratory!" Fred poked the model, and the basement immediately lit up with blue light. "Our materials are in there, and most of our future experiments will be conducted there!"

George leaned close to Kane's ear, his voice low but barely concealing his excitement: "Once the owner of Honey Duke retires, we'll buy the shop across the street from him—"

"—Then open a flagship store in Diagon Alley!" Fred continued, his finger tracing the air as if he could already see the gleaming shop window!

"Imagine the little wizards being chased by our 'Screaming Toilet Seat' as they walk by!"

Kane considered the other person's thoughts for a moment.

Wait a minute! Who else will come to buy things?

But these two guys' gift was quite a surprise!

Kane stared at the key, his fingertips tracing the patterns on the key handle.

MM, two Weasleys; KM, that's him.
