Hogwarts' Golden Glory
Chapter 74 Harry's Guess
On the shore of Black Lake, the raging fire had been extinguished.
But the pungent smell of burning and the lingering magical energy still remained in the air.
The professors gathered around the area ravaged by the flames, their eyes fixed on a pile of oddly shaped rocks.
These rocks are a deep, dark blue color, covered with ice crystal-like patterns, and hard in texture; it is clear at a glance that they are no ordinary objects.
They formed a circle and were not destroyed by the raging fire.
Lying quietly on a patch of scorched earth, it seems out of place.
"How did this pile of stones end up here? And how did they end up so neatly arranged? It's obvious someone did it on purpose."
Professor McGonagall frowned, her eyes filled with doubt, and broke the silence first.
She paced around the rock, waving her wand lightly, trying to find traces of magic left on the stone.
"It's really strange. It's definitely not naturally formed, nor does it resemble a school's defensive structure."
Professor Flitwick's voice rang out.
He hovered in mid-air, peering closely at the texture of the rocks, his small figure appearing and disappearing in the smoke.
Snape scoffed, crossed his arms, and said coldly, "Perhaps someone wanted to destroy the school, and this out-of-control Fiendfire was probably set by them."
His gaze wandered among the rocks and ruins, as if he were pondering something.
Everyone chimed in with their own opinions, but they were still unable to reach a definitive conclusion.
Just then, Dumbledore slowly walked toward the ruins after the Fiendfire.
His blue eyes shone with an all-knowing light.
Amidst the pitch-black ashes and ruins, a glimmer of light caught his attention.
Dumbledore bent down and gently brushed aside the layers of ashes, gradually revealing Ravenclaw's crown.
"Exceptional wisdom is the greatest wealth of mankind."
Despite the devastation of the raging fire, the few characters were still legible.
The ruby on the crown had lost its former luster and was dull and lifeless, while the surrounding metal parts were also distorted and deformed by the high temperature.
Dumbledore carefully picked up the crown, his brow furrowing slightly.
He could sense the powerful black magic fluctuations remaining in the crown, as well as that familiar yet malevolent aura.
That looks like Voldemort!
"Professors, what has happened today has exceeded our expectations."
Dumbledore straightened up, his gaze slowly sweeping over the crowd, his expression solemn.
"I need to investigate the situation here further. Now, please calm the students down and ensure their safety."
Although the professors had their doubts, they always obeyed Dumbledore's orders without question.
Everyone nodded and turned to walk towards the castle. Professor McGonagall kept looking back, her eyes full of worry.
Snape fell into deep thought; he already had someone he suspected.
You should know that the Slytherin common room is right beneath the Black Lake!
The target of the other party is very likely a Slytherin student!
And the one who unleashed the Fiery Flame is most likely Quirrell!
Dumbledore had warned him to keep an eye on the other person beforehand, but why was the other person's target?
After everyone had left, Dumbledore looked at Professor Old, who had been standing silently to the side, and nodded slightly: "Gellert, we need to talk."
Professor Old, or rather Grindelwald, nodded slightly, and the two walked together to a quieter corner by the lake.
Dumbledore gently stroked the crown in his hand, his gaze profound: "Gellert, you and I both know that this Fiendfire was no accident. Someone seems to know the secret of this crown and is trying to destroy it."
Grindelwald stood with his hands behind his back, gazing into the distance. "Albus, you mean Kane? Judging from his unusual behavior lately, it's very likely. His research on Fiendfire suggests he's plotting something."
Dumbledore suddenly whispered, "You taught him?"
Dumbledore knew that the other party's ability to control Fiendfire was far beyond what was expected!
"That kid's self-taught abilities..." Grindelwald flicked the dust off his cuffs, "are far superior to that headmaster who's obsessed with wool socks."
Grindelwald was secretly pleased, realizing that Kane had successfully mastered this ability.
Moreover, it's clear that the fiery flames devoured the energy within the crown, which is why it eventually went out of control.
After a moment of silence, Grindelwald suddenly spoke.
"Albus, you really don't need that plan anymore! Kane is growing so fast, he can definitely catch up!"
Dumbledore nodded. "Gellert, let me think about it!"
When Fiendfire went out of control, Kane quickly left the place, knocking Quirrell unconscious on the way!
He had now returned to his original appearance.
Suddenly, a chilling, shrill laugh came from around the corner: "Hehehe, little wizard, where are you in such a hurry?"
Kane was startled and abruptly stopped in his tracks.
Because he feels guilty, he's now quite afraid of running into other people!
Looking up, one could see the semi-transparent figure of the Pikachu floating in front of them.
A mocking smile graced his face, while curiosity gleamed in his eyes.
It's obvious they haven't messed with anyone in a while and want to prank those little wizards!
Kane immediately drew his wand. He was a little nervous at the moment and just wanted to quickly deal with the ghost and then go back to rest.
The previously menacing Pikachu suddenly froze, its smile vanishing instantly, replaced by a look of terror.
Why is it this guy again!
Kane knew he had been discovered, but he didn't think much of it!
He swiftly swung his wand, and a beam of silver light shot from the tip, striking Peeves.
"No! I really didn't see you running around the castle, please spare me!"
Pipi screamed as he tried to escape.
But he found that he couldn't move at all.
The moment the curse struck him, he let out a weak scream.
Then, her body slowly floated down, eventually collapsing limply to the ground and falling into a coma.
Kane stepped forward, looking at the unconscious Peeves, his heart filled with mixed emotions.
Why is this guy always wandering around? Kane knew, of course, that the other party hadn't discovered his whereabouts.
After all, this guy has been unconscious for the past few days, and judging from the other party's reaction, it's clear that the other party has no idea that it was you who set off the Fiery Blaze.
Meanwhile, in Gryffindor's dormitory, Harry took a few deep breaths!
He seemed to have sensed something.
Professor Quirrell seems to be doing something great!
Something that could thwart Voldemort's plans.
He was so sure because he saw Professor Quirrell's cold smile as he burned the item.
And Voldemort's fear when he realized that the thing had been destroyed.
But Harry is also a little worried now, because for a moment he saw Voldemort's vision!
They also realized that Voldemort was at Hogwarts!
