Hogwarts' Golden Glory

Chapter 45 Unlocking the First Floor

A biting wind howled past, making his clothes flutter, and a mysterious and ancient atmosphere permeated the surroundings.

At the very center of the mountain peak stood a tall and majestic figure.

However, the other person looked rather pitiful, as he was tightly bound by a specially made iron chain that shimmered with mysterious runes.

The chains seemed to possess a spirit, embedding themselves deeply into his skin and constantly drawing upon his magic, rendering him unable to move.

The other person seemed to have noticed Kane and looked up at him.

"Oh? You actually managed to get to this place."

The imprisoned figure seemed to sense Kane's presence, slowly raising its head to look at Kane with a hint of surprise in its eyes.

This was the first time Kane had ever seen such a massive behemoth!

Although the creature retained human characteristics, its enormous size made it difficult to associate it with ordinary humans.

"Kid, do me a favor, and I can grant you three wishes!"

The other party seemed to have noticed Kane's confusion, and their voice echoed in Kane's mind.

Kane was somewhat surprised; the other person didn't seem to be speaking, yet he had clearly heard their words.

But what the other person said was quite interesting?

Is it Aladdin's lamp?

At that moment, he noticed that the man was completely bound by iron chains, and apart from his head, which could still turn, the rest of his body could not move at all.

After a moment's thought, Kane spoke:

"Could you answer one question for me first?"

The chained man glanced at Kane, a smile tugging at the corner of his lips: "Of course."

Seeing that he had agreed, Kane tentatively asked a question.

"If I were to say right now, 'What I'm saying right now is false,' then tell me, is what I'm saying true or false?"

Upon hearing Kane's words, the man instinctively began to speak.

"It's simple, of course it's fake..."

The words were on the tip of his tongue, but he suddenly stopped, realizing instantly that something was wrong.

If he says that what the other person says is a lie, then it means that the lie the other person said has become the truth.

But he said that if what the other person said was true, then what the other person said was a lie.

No matter what I say, it's a wrong answer.

"Are you mocking me?" The man's eyes widened in anger as he glared at Kane.

In his rage, the chains binding him seemed to come alive, twisting violently and tightening ever more, causing a look of pain to appear on the man's face.

A look of pain immediately appeared on his face!

"Answering this question is one of my wishes," Kane said, pursing his lips and looking at him nonchalantly.

The man looked at Kane's short stature and couldn't help but ponder.

This little guy seems harmless; that question he just asked might really have been his wish.

Damn it, has knowledge really gotten this bad?

Why do humans have to face such questions at such a young age?

So the man tried to slow down his tone and soften his voice.

"Child, isn't there anything you want? Like money? Power? Or a woman...?"

At this point, he caught a glimpse of Kane's youthful face and swallowed the last word back.

Although this is somewhat important to him, it seems that the child may not quite understand it now.

"But, sir, I have plenty of money, and as for power, I don't think I need it right now."

Kane answered honestly, "That's certainly true now."

Fudge, whose family was incredibly wealthy, had given up a portion of his power in order to acquire a share of Lucius's wealth.

The Malfoy family certainly doesn't lack either of these two things.

The man was momentarily taken aback; this little guy came from such a wealthy family.

But he had been trapped here for far too long, and he had to find a way to get the child to help him escape.

The man's voice grew gentler, even carrying a hint of humility: "Then tell me, what exactly do you want in return for helping this old man with this favor?"

Kane's gaze swept over the Rubik's Cube beside him, then returned to the man in front of him, as he pondered to himself.

Hogwarts has a teleportation restriction, so the magic power I used to be teleported here by that Rubik's Cube must have been very high!

The man in front of us might be even stronger than Dumbledore!

Damn it, this magical world is still too dangerous!

"Can you tell me why my wand keeps vibrating?"

Kane pulled out a magic wand!

It was Kane's "Star Shadow" that was trembling excitedly at that moment!

The instant I saw Kane's wand!

The moment the man saw the wand, the shock in his eyes far exceeded when Kane had "tricked" him before.

The chains binding him, affected by his emotional fluctuations, dug deep into his flesh, leaving bloody marks.

But then, the man's expression turned to joy as he looked at Kane, and he said solemnly.

"This isn't the wand you think it is! You may not understand now, but all you need to know is that this is a supreme treasure!"

Seeing the other person's seriousness, Kane put his wand away.

Since it's said to be a treasure, I'd better hide it!

"Kid, I'll help you remove the seal above you. Will you do me a favor in return?"

Upon hearing the other party speak accurately, the seal on the magic wand was restored.

The man accurately described the seal on Kane's wand, which startled Kane.

Instinctively, I stepped back, but behind me was a sheer cliff with nowhere to retreat.

The other party actually knew about his wand.

Could it be the original owner of the wand?

That's not right either. If it was the previous owner of Star Shadow, how come only one seal could be broken?

Seeing Kane retreating step by step, the man panicked and, in desperation, took a deep breath.

Kane suddenly felt himself bound by an invisible force, unable to move. The magic wand hidden at his waist flew to the man with a "whoosh".

Then the other person opened their lips, their body trembling slightly, as if gathering all their strength.

Then his lips moved rapidly, chanting an ancient and obscure incantation.

Kane couldn't understand what the other person was muttering, but he could feel the immense power contained within it.

At this moment, due to the man's violent trembling, the iron chain pierced his flesh again.

Blood gushed out, but he seemed oblivious, his eyes fixed on the magic wand.

Suddenly, the wand trembled violently, and its light instantly transformed into a dazzling pillar of light that shot straight into the sky.

The other person was drenched in sweat, and his face was as pale as paper, probably due to the loss of blood.

As the light faded, the wand hovered silently in the air, radiating a refreshed aura.

That powerful magic, which had been suppressed for so long, now surged forth like a flood bursting its banks.

Then, like a weary bird returning home, the wand slowly flew back into Kane's hand.

"Child, I'll send you away from here. Once you reach the legendary realm, you can come in and help me!"

The other person's voice was low and hoarse, yet carried an undeniable determination.
