Hogwarts' Golden Glory

Chapter 39 The Professor's Spying

It was thanks to this child that Gryffindor was able to avoid those troubles.

Hermione, who was falsely accused, must have suffered a lot of injustice. If it weren't for him, she would have been even more frustrated.

Professor McGonagall gave Ron and his group a stern look and said coldly, "Now, you're all coming with me to my office!"

Anyone could guess that they wouldn't have a good time going there.

Just after Professor McGonagall led the group away, Dumbledore turned his attention to Kane and the others.

"Well then, Mr. Kane, now that everything is over, shouldn't we all disperse?"

The tone suggested that he was seeking Kane's opinion, with a hint of discussion.

Kane naturally had no intention of humiliating the other party, especially since the matter had already been completely resolved with Professor Old's help.

Before he could even speak, Professor Old put his arm around Kane's shoulder.

"What are you scattering for! Kid, come with me," Professor Ald grabbed Kane and then glanced at Hermione beside Kane. "Of course, you can bring your little girlfriend if you want."

Hermione's face flushed bright red upon hearing the professor's words.

Kane didn't refuse. Although he didn't know much about the professor, Hogwarts was the "safest" place in the entire wizarding world!

What dangers might I encounter if I go alone?

So Kane agreed.

"Okay, Professor."

"In that case, you don't mind if this old man comes along too, do you?"

Dumbledore suddenly stepped forward.

But Professor Old rolled his eyes at him.

Dumbledore wasn't annoyed at all; instead, he looked at Kane with a smile, seemingly only caring about Kane's opinion.

"Of course I'd love for the principal to come along, but I'd like to bring some food. *glug glug*"

Before Kane could finish speaking, his stomach started growling loudly.

"Hey kid, stop making such a fuss! There's food in my office!"

Professor Olde was now somewhat impatient.

I really want to know more about this little wizard.

Why was he able to accomplish things in the future that even he couldn't do?

So the group was taken to Professor Old's office.

Meanwhile, some bewildered young wizards who had arrived late to the hall were just beginning to get their bearings.

Draco was in the middle of a group of people, excitedly recounting his "heroic" performance in the face of Professor Alder.

"Just now, at the critical moment, I 'whoosh' drew my wand and faced the professor like a real wizarding duel..."

Inside Professor Alder's office, Kane was wolfing down his food, completely oblivious to those around him.

Dumbledore was still shaken. This guy was so rich, yet he seemed to have been abused, looking like he hadn't eaten enough.

Professor Alder was explaining some spells to Hermione.

With Hermione's solid foundation, she quickly mastered these skills.

This made Professor Old feel much more favorably toward the wizard from the Muggle family.

"Look at you, you look like a starving ghost reincarnated."

Professor Alder couldn't help but complain as he looked at Kane.

Hermione looked at Kane with surprise, she had never seen him like this before.

After all, in her mind, the other person had always been polite and courteous.

Kane was inwardly groaning; the stimulants had given him such physical abilities at his age, which was already quite impressive.

However, some side effects are inevitable.

However, the side effects are not very noticeable on a daily basis.

However, once hungry, one will feel a severe hunger.

He had already had a check-up, and the doctor said there was nothing serious. In fact, Kane's physical condition was much better than that of Quidditch players!

Kane felt intensely hungry simply because his body needed a lot of energy.

I usually eat and drink my fill, but since coming to school, my routine hasn't been as regular as before.

However, it seems that the side effects of this tonic still need to be addressed in the future.

What if we get really hungry when a fight breaks out?

Suddenly, Kane realized that his thoughts were being spied on!

He reacted quickly and immediately performed a brain-sealing technique, sealing his brain completely!

You old bastard!

That's incredibly unsportsmanlike!

They actually launched a sneak attack!

Professor Alder's expression froze upon noticing Kane's resistance.

He hadn't expected the other party to be able to detect his spying, and he certainly hadn't imagined that the other party's brain-blocking technique had reached such a level.

"You've got some skills, kid."

Kane was now extremely wary of him.

Which professor do you know who can casually peer into a student's thoughts?

Are you sure this is a professor, and not a shady wizard?

Noticing Kane's wariness, Professor Alder acted as if nothing had happened.

He grinned, revealing a few large front teeth, and said...

"If I said I didn't mean it, would you believe me?"

I don't believe you for a second, you old geezer, you're a really bad guy!

Kane stared at the other person and squeezed out two words through gritted teeth: "I don't believe it."

Professor Old was speechless for a moment.

He knew that this guy might hold a grudge against him, and all the kindness he had shown him had vanished because of this incident.

But you really can't blame him for this!

In his early years, he traveled throughout Europe, spreading his ideas through his personal charisma and highly persuasive speeches.

In order to maintain overall control, one naturally needs to frequently check the thoughts of one's subordinates.

So over time, this became a habit.

That's why he suddenly attacked Kane like that.

Unfortunately, Kane discovered Ald's actions and completely blocked his spying.

"Trust me, Kane, the Hogwarts professors won't hurt you," Dumbledore said, a rare occurrence for him.

He naturally noticed these things and, unusually, spoke up for Olde.

Kane didn't say anything on the surface, but he was thinking to himself: Quirrell, are you sure you're not going to cast a Killing Curse on me? Lockhart, are you sure you're not going to cast a Forgetfulness Curse on me?

Hermione was confused; she couldn't understand a word the three of them were talking about.

Professor Olde was burning with anxiety, seemingly realizing that Kane no longer trusted him.

Suddenly, his eyes lit up, as if he had thought of something!

"Then how about I give you a gift as an apology? As far as I know, you don't have a pet yet, right?"

Kane was naturally disdainful upon hearing this.

Are you planning to give me a pet?

At most, they'd just give you an owl.

You think you can just steal Dumbledore's phoenix and give it to me?

However, he didn't want to make things difficult for the other party any further, after all, the other party was a professor who was suspected to be a legend.

There's nothing I can do for the other person right now.

He secretly vowed that once he reached the Legendary level, he would shave the other man's beard!

"Okay, thank you, Professor."
