Hogwarts' Golden Glory

Chapter 20: The Principal's Office Debate!

As for high-level mages, it was he who summarized the magical power levels of wizards.

It is mainly divided into seven levels.

The first stage is the Squib. Squibs actually possess magic within them, but they cannot control it. Some people only experience this in childhood, while others never experience the wonders of magic throughout their lives.

For example, Filch, being a Squib, gradually became somewhat twisted and perverse as he watched those young wizards who were able to learn magic.

The next stage is the novice mage, which mainly corresponds to students in grades 1-3 who have just entered the school. Their control over magic is in its initial stage, and they can only learn basic magic spells and skills.

Intermediate magicians correspond to students in grades 4-6 of school. By this time, they have mastered certain magical skills and are able to handle some more complex magical challenges.

High-level mages are adult wizards, or even some low-level Aurors, who have reached a high level in terms of magical ability, combat experience, and magical knowledge.

Above that are the Archmages, which correspond to some high-level Aurors, as well as some professors, such as Mad-Eye, Snape, Professor McGonagall, Professor Flitwick, and so on.

Above that are legendary magicians. If they were alive, there would be two Dark Lords and one White Lord. As for Nicolas Flamel, although he possessed unfathomable alchemy and ancient magic and belonged to this stage, his physical condition prevented him from exerting the full strength expected of him at this stage.

At the very top are the Holy Mages, and currently the only match is Merlin, who represents the sacred origin and supreme realm of magic, possessing magical power and wisdom beyond the imagination of ordinary people.

Of course, the previous levels and matching ages are for most people. For example, the main characters' spellcasting skills are still stronger than those of their peers.

Moreover, because some wizards have never received formal education, their spellcasting skills are only at the level of a novice magician.

Kane has eliminated many wizards of this caliber. After all, when he buys materials, there are always some foolish dark wizards who try to steal his Galleons and magical materials.

Quirrell's current level is probably only barely at the threshold of becoming a great wizard, but since he now shares a body with Voldemort, his strength has been greatly weakened.

However, if Voldemort were to take control of the body, he would be just one step away from becoming a legend, but given his current state, he certainly wouldn't be able to maintain his spells for long!

His next task is to quickly reach the level of a Grand Mage, and then break through to the legendary, holy, and even higher realms!

Of course, that's a bit of a tangent. Right now, he still needs to make the most of this semester and ensure that he doesn't get expelled from school for going too far.

While Kane was still in his dorm room planning his future.

A spacious and beautiful circular room;

The walls are covered with portraits of past principals.

At this moment, the old principals, who had been dozing off in the picture frame, were abruptly awakened by a loud argument.

They grumbled in dissatisfaction, yet pricked up their ears with curiosity, watching this sudden confrontation unfold.

"Didn't you say you weren't coming back?"

Dumbledore's voice was clearly tinged with anger, and his eyes were fixed on the uninvited guest before him, his gaze filled with complex emotions.

He had been troubled by Voldemort's affairs for some time now, and how could he not be annoyed by this?

The old man standing in front of him had a weathered face, disheveled hair, and an unkempt beard, making him look quite slovenly.

The years have etched deep lines on his face, yet his blue eyes still gleam with shrewdness and determination.

"Albus, so many years have passed, are you still holding a grudge about what happened back then?" The old man's voice was slightly hoarse, but it still carried a hint of unruliness and nonchalance, as if he didn't care about Dumbledore's anger at all.

"You lost the last contest! Time has given the answer; I was the right one, and you should stay there obediently!" Dumbledore's words were resolute, carrying an unquestionable authority.

He was well aware that the appearance of this former close friend, or rather, lover, would inevitably cause a great stir. "Moreover, if you were discovered now, the entire magical world would be plunged into endless panic!"

"Oh?" The old man raised his chin slightly, a mysterious smile playing on his lips. "That just proves that this magical world needs a change! By the way, I came out 11 years ago, and guess what I saw?"

A barely perceptible look of surprise flashed in Dumbledore's eyes. He never expected that the old man in front of him had been living a carefree life outside for so long.

More than a decade has passed, enough time for many things to change dramatically. So what exactly did the other party do during this long period of time? What kind of scheme did he devise?

Thinking of this, Dumbledore frowned slightly, his eyes revealing a deep worry and vigilance.

Over the years, he would occasionally receive letters from the other party, and the snippets in those letters led him to mistakenly believe that the other party was still trapped in that place.

However, being Dumbledore, he quickly composed himself, maintaining his calm and unperturbed expression.

Seeing that Dumbledore didn't respond, the old man continued, "What I see is a completely new world, a new order where wizards and Muggles coexist harmoniously, quietly taking shape! Albus, I assure you, this will be the opportunity to realize our shared aspirations!"

His voice grew louder and louder, and his emotions became more and more agitated. His high-pitched tone even annoyed the old principals in the surrounding picture frames who had just been woken up and were trying to go back to sleep, causing them to curse inwardly.

"Enough, Gellert!" Dumbledore finally lost his temper and roared. In an instant, his magic surged violently, and a powerful magical aura filled the entire room, as if a storm was about to break.

However, Grindelwald knew perfectly well that Dumbledore wouldn't actually fight him here.

After all, this is Hogwarts, full of innocent students, and Dumbledore would never act rashly without considering their safety.

Yes, the disheveled man before you is none other than the once-famous first Dark Lord—Gellert Grindelwald.

According to the original story, he should still be in Nurmengard prison at this moment, anxiously waiting for Dumbledore's letter, hoping to have some contact with him.

But now, he has appeared openly in Dumbledore's office. All these changes stem from the mysterious prophecy he saw 11 years ago.

Back then, Grindelwald was determined to help Dumbledore find a way to defeat Voldemort.

During the long process of exploration, he was once disheartened because the future he foresaw all seemed to point to the same ending—Dumbledore would choose to sacrifice himself in order to fight against the other side.

However, just when he was about to give up, he saw someone extraordinary—Kane Malfoy.

In Grindelwald's eyes, Kane Malfoy was like a ray of dawn piercing through the darkness.

This boy gave Grindelwald not only new hope for the wizarding world, but also hope that Dumbledore could survive!

Grindelwald gave Dumbledore a deep look, and in the other man's eyes, he read determination and resolve.

He knew that no matter how much he tried to persuade him, Dumbledore would not easily change his mind.

He sighed, slowly turned around, and walked towards the door.

"Albus, you will understand, that boy will lead us into a completely new era."

Grindelwald's voice echoed in the room, carrying a hint of melancholy and anticipation for the future.

With Grindelwald gone, the office returned to calm.

Dumbledore stood quietly, gazing into the distance, his heart filled with unease.

The image of Kane Malfoy involuntarily surfaced in his mind. This boy, whom Grindelwald valued so highly, hopefully wouldn't be another Voldemort!
