"Chasing Dreams with a Pure Heart"

In Yang Qian's original world, this song was written and performed by the GALA band.

It was once a battle song that gave strength to countless people in their confusion and distress.

It is extremely popular.

In this parallel world, the GALA band still exists, and they have already created the song "Chasing Dreams with a Pure Heart."

However, for various reasons, it did not become popular and its songs were not widely sung, and the band itself remained in a lukewarm state.

Miriam Yeung was still figuring out how to recreate this song.

A quick online search revealed that the lyricist, composer, and singer were all correct as remembered.

It just lacks an opportunity to be heard.

That makes things much simpler.

Buy copyrights.

……

"What? The Land of Light wants to buy out the permanent rights to use and adapt 'Chasing Dreams'?"

When Sudo, the lead singer of the GALA band, received the call from his manager, he and his bandmates were eating takeout in the rehearsal room.

Hearing this, I almost choked on a piece of pork rib.

Land of Light?

The Land of Light that created "Ultraman Tiga" and "Neon Genesis Evangelion"?!

Sudo himself is a tokusatsu enthusiast.

The other band members were also greatly influenced by him, and had long admired the Land of Light and Hikaru.

Buy out this song...

Is it going to be used as the new theme song for Ultraman?

Or perhaps a thrilling mecha anime?

All sorts of possibilities flashed through Sudo's mind instantly.

On the other end of the phone, the agent poured cold water on the idea.

Don't overthink it.

"The other party made it clear that it was used in a 2D animation, and it was not the theme song, but an insert song or the ending song."

"The animation's theme seems to be related to history."

"Oh, I see."

Sudo's interest has dwindled considerably.

Historical animation?

That doesn't sound very cool.

"Then just give me your normal quote."

"This song isn't going to be popular anyway, so even if we buy it out permanently, it probably won't be worth much money."

Sudo was somewhat disappointed.

"Yes, I've already given you a price."

"How much did you report?"

Sudo asked casually.

The agent gave a number.

Sudo: "Wow, so many?! Didn't they accuse you of being an exorbitant customer?"

This price is definitely a premium for the permanent buyout rights to a non-popular song.

Some of them are even too high.

"Not only did he not curse."

The agent paused, then added.

"They agreed very readily, without even haggling over the price."

"Furthermore, the other party added an extra condition, saying that each band member could choose any art book personally signed by Mr. A-Guang, and could pick any of his existing works."

"If you don't want it right now, you can wait for the artbook for the future new work of the Land of Light to be released before redeeming it."

Sudo was stunned, holding his phone for a long time without saying a word.

They're generous with the money and even give away autographed art books that are priceless on the market?

And everyone gets a copy, and can choose any one?

Is this song really that good?

Is it worth the Land of Light's high regard for them?

"Manager, what do you think of the song 'Chasing Dreams with a Pure Heart'?"

The agent thought about it and gave an objective evaluation.

"The melody is good, and the lyrics are powerful, but the overall style may not fit the current mainstream market."

"Otherwise, you wouldn't have remained so lukewarm."

Sudo shook his head.

"No, I think it's excellent."

"Because that's the song that Teacher A-Guang liked."

broker:"……"

Fine, it's just a fan filter; whatever makes you happy.

Back in the Land of Light, Yang Qian quickly received news of the copyright contract confirmation.

He glanced at the music purchase expenditure and couldn't help but smile.

From a business perspective, this deal is definitely a huge loss.

But judging from the goals he wants to achieve...

It's worth it, absolutely worth it.

Some voices are destined to resonate with specific groups of people at specific times.

……

Old Zhang finally recovered from the emotional shock of the first episode.

He wiped away the tears that hadn't dried on his face and took a deep breath.

He decided to immediately recommend this anime to the [Anime UP Master Exchange Group] he belonged to.

When I opened the group chat, there were already 999+ messages.

Old Zhang's heart skipped a beat.

Oh no, we're too late!

He quickly scrolled through the chat history.

Sure enough, the entire group was buzzing with discussion about "That Rabbit".

"Waaaaah, guys, I have to recommend an anime to you all. It's definitely my number one anime of the year!"

"I guess you mean 'Those Years, Those Rabbits, Those Things'."

"Holy crap! You watched it too?!"

"To be honest, I just finished watching the first episode on Tencent Video."

"I watched it on Lizi Entertainment..."

"I found it on Kuaijiao..."

"Bilibili also has it..."

Everyone fell silent for a few seconds.

Then, a message popped up.

[Old Tomato]: "I just searched all the mainstream video platforms and found that 'Those Years, Those Rabbits, Those Things' was released simultaneously across the entire network, with the update time being exactly 12 noon today."

"Simultaneous across the entire network?! What does that even mean?!"

"Even Ah Guang's works are exclusively or first released on Starlight Video! At most, they're distributed later!"

"What level of backing and coordination capabilities does this require?!"

"@Dami, Dami editor, come out for some fresh air! Aren't you Starlight Video a strategic partner of the Kingdom of Light? What's the background of this 'That Rabbit'? Is it A-Guang's new pseudonym?"

The editor, DaMi, who was tagged, unusually chose to play dead this time.

It's not that he didn't know.

On the contrary, he knew more than anyone else in the group.

However, Yang Qianqian repeatedly emphasized that the matter must be kept absolutely confidential until it is officially announced or discovered by the outside world.

As for the reason?

The answer is always the same: someone in high places.

Fine.

I specifically turned off group message notifications today.

"I guess DaMi is slacking off. Today's a special day, so their editorial team probably doesn't have much to do."

"Never mind that! I just found out that 'That Rabbit' is releasing all 12 episodes at once! Brothers, let's go!"

"Such a good thing?! Wait for me! I'm going right now!"

"Let's go together!"

"Me too!"

Only after seeing this did Old Zhang belatedly realize what was happening.

At the bottom of the playback page, a playlist of 12 episodes is neatly arranged, all of which are available to watch.

Release the entire series at once?

That's incredibly bold and unrestrained!

I definitely have to go see it.

The first episode was already so tear-jerking, surely the second episode won't be like that too, right?

Episode 2: The Attack of the Koreans

The civil war between North and South Korea escalated due to US intervention.

To protect our homeland and border security.

The rabbits formed a volunteer team, singing "Marching proudly and striding across the duck LV...", and headed to the battlefield.

"Yes, I learned this part in history class."

Watching the vivid portrayal in the animation, Lao Zhang felt that this edutainment approach was indeed quite good.

Although I was still moved, my emotions were much calmer than in the first episode.

As expected, not every episode is that tear-jerking...

He relaxed a little and casually clicked on the third episode.

Episode 3: The Bugle Call in the Cold Winter

In the frigid land, barren mountains are completely covered by ice and snow.

A team of rabbits was ordered to lie in ambush here.

Their target was a well-equipped American position with air support and ample supplies.

The bitter cold became a more deadly killer than the enemy.

The rabbits were only wearing thin cotton clothes.

They lay motionless in the thick snow.

The exhaled white breath instantly froze into frost.

They whispered to each other to stay alert and focused.

"Honey, don't drool, it'll freeze."

Relying on their indomitable will, they fought against the bitter cold and hunger, awaiting the signal for the final assault.

The moment of final assault has arrived.

Many rabbits have closed their eyes forever.

Their bodies were covered in ice and snow, but they still gripped their weapons tightly, maintaining a fighting stance.

"Don't cry, your tears will freeze."

The bugle call sounded.

The surviving rabbits leaped up from the snow and roared as they launched a desperate charge towards the enemy's position!

Finally, the flag was planted on the high ground.

The Americans are sitting on the retreating ships.

Only then did he realize that the rabbit of today was no longer the little braid that could be bullied at will.

Thank you for everything you've done.

We are happy and grateful.

The end credits song began to play.

Historical photos emerge one by one.

Run forward! Facing the cold stares and ridicule!

Fate cannot force us to kneel and beg for mercy!

Even if blood is spilled all over my arms!

"..."

Old Zhang sat blankly in front of the screen, motionless.

My cheeks felt icy cold.

He cried again.

This time, she cried even more than in the first episode.
