Entertainment to the death, make a tokusatsu film that will crush the entire internet.

December 12th has passed.

A new day has begun.

A day deeply etched in the memory of the nation.

Starting at midnight, all online platforms—games, short videos, social media, content communities…

The homepage has turned gray.

Online entertainment activities have been suspended, and discussions on the topic have subsided.

Offline, many entertainment venues closed their doors.

Schools and government offices flew their flags at half-mast.

The trending topics on social media can be summed up in just two words.

Don't forget.

……

Nine o'clock in the morning, Martyrs' Cemetery in City A.

Led by Yang Qian, all the staff of the Land of Light Animation Studio, dressed in plain clothes and holding white chrysanthemums, stood quietly in front of the monument.

There was no commotion, no conversation.

The only sound was the rustling of the wind through the pines and cypresses.

They stepped forward one by one, offering flowers, bowing, and gazing at the unfamiliar names on the monument.

Among the crowd was Wang Le, a newly hired concept artist;

There was Luo Zheng, sitting in a wheelchair, being carefully pushed by his colleagues;

Su Xiaoran, Chen Yi, Huang Duotian, Guo Fan, Jiaozi, Nagano Hiroshi...

Not a single person was absent.

Yang Qian stood at the front of the line, gazing at the towering monument, lost in thought.

Behind him is an animation team with an average age of less than thirty.

In front of him was a group of seniors whose average age was less than 25, with the youngest being only 14 years old.

The tomb-sweeping ceremony lasted for nearly two hours.

It was 11 a.m. when we left the cemetery.

"Director Yang."

Su Xiaoran walked to Yang Qian's side and asked softly.

"Should we go back to the company next, or...?"

"Go home, everyone."

Yang Qian glanced at the employees behind him.

"I feel really bad for making everyone come out for so long on the weekend."

"Take a good rest this afternoon and spend time with your family."

Su Xiaoran nodded, then listened to Yang Qian add.

"By the way, today counts as overtime."

"Remember to tell HR that everyone's overtime pay should be calculated at three times the legal standard, and that each person should also receive a small bonus, which will be deducted from my personal account."

"It's cold, so please buy some hot drinks and food."

Upon hearing this, Su Xiaoran felt a warmth in her heart and responded.

"Okay, I've got it."

Under Yang Qian's influence, Su Xiaoran had become accustomed to providing employee benefits.

The environment really can change a person.

……

A chat group for anime and games.

Occasionally, a message pops up, carrying a hint of helplessness:

"Ugh, this is so boring. All the games are offline, the homepages of video websites are gray, and even the novel apps have turned black and white."

"It's normal. Today is a special day, and we must show the respect that's due. Just bear with it for today."

"I understand the logic... but why is even the Land of Light on hiatus today?"

"Aren't Tencent Video's 'Dragon Realm' and Lizi Entertainment's 'Super Guardians' still updating as usual?"

"That's right! 'Lolo's Adventures' was locked in a fierce battle with 'Dragon Realm' yesterday, and today they should have pressed their advantage. Why did it stop?"

"Cardcaptor Sakura, Nava, Seven... all suspended. Is Guangda being so cautious this time?"

As netizens have seen, all shows currently airing under the banner of "Light of the Nation" have been suspended today.

There was no announcement, no explanation.

But anyone with eyes can see that this is Ah Guang's respect for special days, and it is also an attitude.

In contrast, Tencent Video and Lizi Entertainment chose to remain open for business as usual.

Although the page color scheme was adjusted, content updates continued.

Business competition doesn't seem to have stopped on this day.

This contrast evoked subtle feelings in some viewers.

……

It was exactly 12 noon.

An account named "Those Years, Those Rabbits, Those Things".

The first season was released simultaneously on all major video platforms, including Starlight Video, Tencent Video, and Lizi Entertainment.

There was no splash screen with a GG logo, no homepage recommendations, and no trending topics to generate buzz.

Lao Zhang, the content creator of "Lao Zhang Talks Anime," habitually opens Starlight Video during his lunch break.

He just wanted to casually browse through the pages to kill time.

Although the homepage is gray and white, the content is still viewable.

The page refreshed, and an unfamiliar cover suddenly appeared at the end of the recommendations section.

The cover is very simple.

Under the red flag, a little white rabbit wearing a dark green soft hat is looking ahead.

Next to it is a handwritten title: "Those Years, Those Rabbits, Those Things".

Old Zhang was stunned for a moment.

"Who's so bold as to release a new anime on a day like this?"

He muttered to himself, glancing at the account.

The ID "[That Year, That Rabbit, Those Things]" has no institutional certification and no valid information can be found.

Looking at the animation category again, it's surprisingly "History/Education/Animation".

"An educational history animation? Showing it at a time like this?"

Old Zhang's curiosity was piqued.

"Since we're already here, let's take a look."

He clicked on the first episode.

Duration displayed: 7 minutes and 14 seconds.

It's slightly longer than instant noodles.

Title: The Rise of China

The screen lit up, but there was no exquisite or gorgeous modeling or delicate hand-drawn art as expected.

It's just a simple chibi art style.

A gentle male voice began to narrate.

"A long, long time ago, on the blue planet of the universe, there was a place called—China, the Flower Country."

The scene depicts a beautiful and fertile land.

Two figures dressed in ancient costumes stand side by side.

General Manager Yan and General Manager Huang.

"After President Yan and President Huang conquered this region, China became the most powerful force on Earth."

From the Xia, Shang, and Zhou dynasties to the unification of the Qin and Han dynasties, and then to the prosperous Han and Tang dynasties and the glorious Ming dynasty... China was once the most dazzling nation on Earth.

"However, prosperity is finite."

The weakened China had its city gates breached by powerful ships and cannons.

Images of the eagle, the bear, the Hans, the Gallic rooster, John Bull, and the Japanese chicken all make an appearance.

They greedily divide up China's land and bully China.

Old Zhang frowned and sat up straight.

This method of using animal metaphors to represent historical nations and powers is simple and direct, yet exceptionally vivid.

Even someone with a relatively ordinary history like him instantly understood the implication.

Amidst the turmoil, the rabbit and the bald man were born.

They joined forces, cut off the queues of the Chinese people, drove away the bullies, and became the new masters of the Chinese people.

However, peace did not come.

The rabbit and the bald man got into a fight because of their differing ideologies.

Just then, the cunning Japanese seized the opportunity and launched another sneak attack, initiating a full-scale assault.

"Yosh! Wipe out China!"

The Japanese chicken crowing triumphantly.

In an instant, war raged everywhere, and the land was shattered.

This time, Rabbit and Baldy put aside their differences and joined forces to fight the enemy once again.

One after another, the two worked in perfect harmony, pinning the arrogant Japanese chicken to the ground and rubbing it mercilessly.

Finally, the bald man summoned "Friend A of Justice," and two giant "mushroom eggs" rose in the Japanese chicken's home.

The Japanese chicken retreated in defeat.

……

At the moment of victory, the rabbit watched the bald man depart by boat.

……

"Honey, are you ready?"

"Although we're in charge now."

"But never forget the promise we made back then."

"Let's use our own hands to create a world where we have enough to eat, enough to wear, and no one looks down on us."

"China, the land of flowers!"

Episode 1, End.

There are no fancy special effects transitions; the scene simply fades out.

Old historical photos slowly appear, and the end credits roll.

Soldiers amidst the flames of war, figures rebuilding from the ruins, those who rebuilt China...

充满鲜花的世界到底在哪里

If it really exists, then I will definitely go.

I want to stand on the highest peak there.

It doesn't matter if it's a cliff or a steep slope.

……

Run forward! Facing the cold stares and ridicule!

How can one truly appreciate the vastness of life without experiencing hardship?

Fate cannot force us to kneel and beg for mercy!

Even if blood is spilled all over my arms!

……

[I am happy and grateful.]

Old Zhang sat blankly in front of the computer, the light from the screen reflecting on his face.

Before I knew it, tears had started rolling down my cheeks and dripping onto the keyboard.

"Why...am I crying..."
