HP: She married Malfoy after becoming an exchange student.
Chapter 49 Punishment
"Come here, I'll tell you a secret," Elias said.
Draco's curiosity was piqued. He put down his teacup, leaned slightly to the side from the armrest, and moved closer. His platinum-blonde hair cascaded down, almost overlapping Elias's silver-grey hair. The two were incredibly close; Draco's ear was practically touching Elias's lips.
"Oh my god!" Pansy rolled her eyes, speechless, already used to their behavior. Blaise, on the other hand, wisely said nothing, choosing instead to lower his head and slowly sip his cocoa.
In the corner, Harry and Ron, with Crabbe and Goyle's sluggish expressions, watched this scene, their eyes widening simultaneously for a moment. Merlin knew just how arrogant Malfoy was! In Ron's words, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say he was utterly disdainful and looked down on everyone.
But right now, the annoying Malfoy was lying on Reinhardt's body, his golden hair smooth and his neck long and slender, looking docile with his claws tucked in, which really startled Harry and Reinhardt. Their eyes couldn't help but be fixed on the two people whispering across from them.
On the sofa, Draco was still waiting for Elias's answer. Seeing that he hadn't spoken for a while, he urged, "What secret is it? Tell me!"
Elias glanced at Crabbe and Goyle, both of whom had strange expressions and were looking in his direction, seemingly unaware of how odd their behavior was.
Elias looked away, lowering his head, his lips almost touching Draco's earlobe: "Those two people weren't Crabbe and Goyle."
Draco's eyelashes fluttered. He instinctively tried to turn his head to look, but Elias's fingers pressed against his side, gently holding him.
"Don't look back," Elias said calmly. "They're watching you."
The fire in the fireplace crackled.
Draco swallowed the breath he almost choked on. He lowered his eyes, his eyelashes casting a small shadow beneath them, and lowered his voice to the bare minimum: "...Who?"
"I don't know," Elias said. "Take a guess?"
Draco was silent for a few seconds, then slowly raised his chin, a dangerous glint appearing in his grey-blue eyes.
"Potter," he gritted his teeth, emphasizing each word, "and Weasley!"
Draco stood up from the sofa, walked over to the two men, and scanned their faces.
Harry stared at him warily, and everyone in the lounge looked puzzled.
Draco began his trap: "I suddenly remembered that Goyle was put in jail by Filch last week for stealing pies from the kitchen. He even has a scar on his face."
"Gao Er" subconsciously touched his face.
Smooth, with nothing on it.
Seeing Goyle's performance, Draco became even more certain of his guess. He bent down, getting close to Goyle's stiff face, a sly glint in his eyes: "Potter? Or Weasley? Your acting is truly terrible."
The blond man tilted his head. "Let me guess, are you here to investigate who will inherit the secret chamber? Or are you here to investigate me?"
The atmosphere in the lounge changed abruptly after those words were spoken.
Pansy Parkinson slammed the magazine shut, jumped up from the sofa, her eyes wide: "What do you mean? Draco, what did you say?"
Several lower-grade students who were playing wizard chess looked up, staring blankly at them. An older prefect stood up from the table, his brow furrowed. "Malfoy, explain yourself. What's wrong with these two?"
Draco turned to face the crowd, chin held high: "These two are imposters who infiltrated after drinking Polyjuice Potion. They're not Crabbe and Goyle."
The lounge was silent for half a second.
Then, like a lake surface tossed with a pebble, the ripples spread out rapidly.
"What?!" Pansy's voice was so shrill it could shatter glass. "Someone's in?"
More people stood up, forming a subtle encirclement.
Which college?
"Judging from Malfoy's words, it seems to be Potter and Weasley from Gryffindor!"
The prefect reacted the fastest. He abruptly turned towards the stone door, his voice deep and steady: "Block the door! Don't let anyone out!"
Two older students immediately rushed over and stood guard on either side of the stone door. Another boy drew his wand and stood beside them, watching Crabbe and Goyle warily.
Harry and Ron were cornered by the Slytherins, with no way out.
The prefect stepped forward, looking down at Crabbe: "Who are you? What are you doing in Slytherin?"
Crabbe clenched his fists and remained silent.
"Not going to say anything?" The prefect sneered. "Then we'll wait until Professor Snape arrives. Someone has already gone to inform him."
The two remained silent.
The two sides remained locked in a stalemate. Finally, before the Slytherins could grow impatient, Snape arrived. He stopped in front of Crabbe and Goyle, looking down at them with a cold, icy smile.
"Well, compound decoctions," Snape said coldly. "You're getting more and more creative."
He drew his wand, and a flash of silver light revealed Harry and Ron's pale faces to everyone.
Gasps rose and fell in the Slytherin common room.
"That's Potter!"
"And Weasley!"
Snape's gaze lingered on the two men for a moment, then he said slowly, "Potter, Weasley. You two are a real source of pride for Gryffindor."
"Unauthorized use of Polyjuice Potion, impersonation of students from other houses, and trespassing into the Slytherin common room." Snape sprayed venom, issuing his ultimatum: "Fifty points deducted from each person."
Ron's face turned bright red, his lips trembled, and he couldn't utter a single word, while Harry stared blankly, his face filled with despair.
A few suppressed, gloating chuckles echoed in the lounge.
"Now," Snape tilted his head, his black robes billowing slightly in the wind blowing through the stone door, "come with me. Both of you."
The two men, heads bowed, staggered toward the stone door under the burning gazes of the Slytherins.
Harry paused as he passed the fireplace. He turned his head and met Draco's eyes.
Draco leaned back on the sofa armrest, his chin slightly raised. He didn't speak, but his expression said it all—you've lost.
Harry's gaze shifted from him to Elias beside him.
"Let's go." Snape's voice came from behind, carrying an undeniable pressure.
Harry turned around and followed Ron out of the Slytherin common room.
The stone gate closed heavily behind them.
