After transmigrating into the body of the Jade Rat Spirit, I became Nezha's adopted sister.

Chapter 65, "The Third Battle Against the White Bone Demon," is an important plot point!

He paused, then reached out and took the pistol from her hand. Bai Yeying felt a sudden lightness in her hand; the pistol was already in his grasp.

Nezha weighed the spear in his hand, and with a casual flick of his wrist, the spear tip became erratic in the air. Although it wasn't moving fast, it gave people the feeling that there was nowhere to dodge it.

"Killing someone isn't like smashing a rock." He handed the gun back to her. "Your gun is too solid, lacking in variation. A true master won't stand there waiting for you to pierce them with one shot. It's about combining the real and the unreal, the strength and the flexibility."

Bai Yeying took the gun, carefully recalling his seemingly casual movements, lost in thought.

"I think I understand a little," she murmured, then looked up, her eyes shining even brighter. "Can you teach me a few more moves?"

Nezha looked at her eager expression and smiled slightly: "Don't bite off more than you can chew. First, master those few moves."

"Oh..." Bai Yeying was a little disappointed, but still nodded obediently. She walked to the side and tried to imitate Nezha's movements, but found that the seemingly simple movements always lacked a certain charm when she did them. Either she used too much force or her movements were stiff.

She was so focused on her practice that she didn't notice Nezha had already sat down on the rock by the waterfall, bent one leg, and was staring at the cascading water curtain, seemingly lost in thought, or perhaps watching her clumsy but earnest figure out of the corner of his eye.

Bai Yeying practiced for a while and finally managed to make those movements look somewhat decent. She stopped, wiped her sweat, walked to the edge of the pool, scooped up some water, and drank a few mouthfuls.

The cool spring water soothed her throat, and she sighed contentedly, turning to look at Nezha.

The boy sat on the rock, his face turned to her, his expression unusually calm.

"Hey, Nezha," she suddenly said.

Nezha didn't turn his head, but simply hummed a single syllable through his nose: "Hmm?"

"You..." Bai Yeying bit her lower lip, mustering her courage, "Why are you here today? Are you just passing by?"

That was such an awkward question! She regretted it as soon as she asked it.

Nezha remained silent for a moment.

Just when Bai Yeying thought he wouldn't answer, or would use that "it's just on the way" excuse to brush her off, he spoke up.

"No." The voice remained calm, yet it reached her ears clearly.

Bai Yeying was stunned for a moment.

Nezha turned his face, his beautiful phoenix eyes looking at her, reflecting the watery light and her somewhat dazed face.

"Just came to see you," he paused, then added, "how's your shooting practice going?"

Is that all? Bai Yeying looked into his eyes, trying to find something else within them. But those eyes were too clear, too deep; she couldn't see through them.

All I know is that he came here specifically to see her.

"Oh..." She looked down at her toes dangling in the water. "So, you've finished watching. Did you think it was alright?"

"Not bad." Nezha withdrew his gaze and looked back at the waterfall. "It's better than last time."

This is already considered a very high compliment. Bai Yeying's lips curled up.

Silence fell between them again. Only the eternal sound of the waterfall and the rustling of the wind through the treetops could be heard.

Bai Yeying sat down on the rock next to him, imitating him by bending her knees and crossing her arms. She didn't get too close, but the distance between them was closer than ever before, and she could smell the lotus fragrance emanating from him.

"Where are we now on our westward journey?" she asked softly, choosing a safe topic.

"After passing Wuzhuang Temple, you should reach White Tiger Ridge ahead," Nezha replied succinctly.

White Tiger Ridge White Bone Demon.

The Three Battles with the White Bone Demon is an important part of the story; I really want to see it!

"Um...I'd like to go take a look, is that alright?"

Nezha glanced at her from the side, his thin lips slightly moving: "White Bone Ridge? Just a White Bone Demon, what's so interesting about it?"

Bai Yeying knew he was telling the truth. But that was the White Bone Demon! One of the most classic villains in Journey to the West, and she still couldn't resist her curiosity.

"Just one look, okay?" She turned around, clasped her hands together in a pleading gesture, and blinked her almond-shaped eyes. "I promise I won't cause any trouble! The scene of the Great Sage fighting monsters must be very exciting, I just want to broaden my horizons."

Nezha looked at her like this, his brows furrowed as usual, and there was a helplessness in his eyes that he himself did not realize.

"Spectacular?" he scoffed. "That monkey was riddled with holes from every blow, covered in blood. What's so exciting about that? You think it's a show?"

Even so, the phantom image of the Wind and Fire Wheels beneath his feet had already quietly appeared.

Bai Yeying's eyes lit up, knowing there was a chance. She quickly took a step closer, reached out and tugged at his dark red sleeve, gently shaking it: "Third Prince..."

The gesture was almost like a coquettish act. Nezha's sleeve tugged slightly as she pulled at it. He glanced down at the fair hand, then looked at her expectant eyes, and his heart softened for no reason. Then, feeling a little annoyed, he turned his face away.

"Troublesome." He muttered, but the Hun Tian Ling had already extended and wrapped around Bai Yeying's waist on its own. "Don't cause trouble, or don't expect me to take you out again."

"Yes, yes, yes! I'll definitely be good!" Bai Yeying nodded vigorously, unable to suppress the smile on her lips.

A crimson light shot into the sky, breaking through the thin mist above the mountains and forests, and sped off in the southwest direction.

After a while, the scenery below became desolate. The mountains were treacherous, with jagged rocks.

"We've arrived," Nezha's voice rang in my ears.

He landed directly on White Bone Ridge, where the view was excellent, offering a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains.

The Heavenly Silk ribbon loosened, and Bai Yeying stepped onto solid ground, immediately leaning out curiously to look down.

The so-called White Tiger Ridge truly lived up to its name. The ridge was bare, exposing grayish-white rocks. A thin gray mist drifted among the ridges, making it appear dark and gloomy even in the daytime.

At that moment, a group of four people and a horse slowly approached. It was none other than Tang Sanzang and his disciples.

Tang Sanzang was riding on the white dragon horse, reciting scriptures with his eyes closed.

Sun Wukong, carrying his golden cudgel, walked at the front, his fiery eyes scanning the surroundings.

Pigsy dragged his rake, huffing and puffing as he followed behind the horse, muttering something under his breath.

Sha Wujing carried the luggage and walked silently at the back.

"They're here!" Bai Yeying said in a low voice, her tone excited.

Nezha didn't answer. He simply leaned casually against a protruding rock on the edge of the cliff, arms crossed, his gaze lazily falling on the pilgrimage team below, as if he really was just there to watch an unimportant show.

Bai Yeying had an idea. She tugged at Nezha's sleeve and shook it, her eyes gleaming with mischief. "I heard Huang Wu say that the White Bone Demon is most skilled in transformation. Maybe she can transform into a mortal to deceive Tang Sanzang. How about... I try it first? I can transform into a village girl to scare him and give him a heads-up, so when the real demon comes, he'll remember it!"

Nezha didn't even flinch: "Meddlesome. With Sun Wukong by my side, why would you need to add unnecessary details?"

"Is it fun!" Bai Yeying drawled out, then leaned forward again.

"Besides, look at Tang Sanzang, protected by the Great Sage, he's completely unsuspecting. I'm just giving him a little practice, letting him suffer a bit, it's better than him actually being kidnapped by a monster, right?"

Nezha glanced at her sideways, neither agreeing nor disagreeing. His phoenix eyes held a hint of helplessness, but he ultimately let her have her way.
