Who moved her body?

Chapter 25 Having a Grandson to Cut Losses

"That guy should have been killed on the spot!" Xu Haiyang seemed to still be resentful that Guan Jie hadn't let him kill Chen Kaipiao, and said viciously, "He ran away, he ran away overnight."

Guan Jie had a cut on his right arm from Chen Kaipiao. Seeing the bloodstains on the gauze, Xu Haiyang waved his hand and said, "Never mind, it's not your fault."

Xu Haiyang suddenly turned to Mugua and said, "What have you been doing with all the money you've earned? You almost killed me by driving that beat-up old car. Go get my car from the Butterfly Club tomorrow, and you can drive that one."

Papaya Head leaned forward, asking incredulously, "Boss, are you serious?"

"Why aren't you happy?"

"No, no, no, I'm overjoyed! That's a luxury car!" Papaya's eyes gleamed.

"Don't act like a country bumpkin, okay? I'm only doing this because of Zhao Ren, don't think it's because of your own reputation."

"Got it, boss. Hehe, thanks anyway."

"I'm not giving you my phone in the car, that's my go-to phone for picking up girls." Xu Haiyang got angry at the mention of the phone, and said angrily, "Butterfly Club doesn't allow customers to bring their phones, saying it's for their safety, and I thought so at first too."

Xu Haiyang stroked his chin and said, "No one carries a cell phone, no one can take pictures and we can do whatever we want. Sounds great, right? But that bastard Chen Kaipiao dared to attack me because of that. If I had a cell phone, he would have wet his pants with just one call. Humph, if he ever says I can't bring a cell phone again, I'll kill him. He must be trying to harm me."

Papaya frowned. "The White Bone Demon? Isn't she a woman?"

Xu Haiyang glared at Mugua, "Only a demon like the White Bone Demon would go to such lengths to harm people, understand?"

The papaya made a few "oh oh" sounds and quickly lowered its head.

Guan Jie smiled at Xu Haiyang, who gave him a knowing look. "I'll get you two beautiful nurses, the hot kind."

"Are you planning to send me to the battlefield wounded?" Guan Jie joked. "It's better to leave Mugua here to take care of me. Otherwise, I'll get all worked up every day looking at beautiful women, which won't help my wounds heal."

"Okay, then Mugua, be careful about this." Xu Haiyang stood up and said to Guan Jie, "My mom is here. She was so worried about me when she heard I was injured, like she'd lost millions. She won't let me out of her sight for a second. To comfort her, I can't come to see you for the next couple of days. Tell Mugua if anything happens, and he'll take care of you. Don't wander off. There are some places you can't go. Hey, why am I telling you this? You won't be able to get out of bed anytime soon anyway."

Xu Haiyang waved his hand, and Mugua handed him a cigar and saw him out the door.

......

Amidst the backdrop of lush green coconut trees on both sides, a golden beach suddenly appears. Under two parasols, a woman in a swimsuit and a sheer veil lies reclining. On the table beside them are orange juice, light green cocktails with lemons stuck in the rim, and a sealed stainless steel ice bucket. Both women wear leopard-print sunglasses that obscure most of their faces, and waiters stand ready to serve them ten meters away under another parasol.

The two women were chatting when they were suddenly interrupted by a waiter's greeting, "Good day, young master." One of the younger women sat up, took off her sunglasses, and placed them on the table.

"Give me an ice-cold beer." Xu Haiyang said this and walked towards the woman who had sat up.

"Mommy!" Xu Haiyang stretched out his arms, ready to hug the woman.

The woman is Lin Yue, Xu Haiyang's mother.

After the two embraced, Xu Haiyang turned around and warmly hugged the other woman who had already sat up. "Auntie, it's been so long! You look so much younger! Tell your nephew if you have any miracle cures? Could you share some with me?"

This elegant and graceful woman was Lin Wan, Xu Haiyang's aunt and Situ Feng's mother. She was five years older than Lin Yue. Although she was over fifty, she looked like she was only in her thirties. Both of them were tall and beautiful.

Lin Wan poked Xu Haiyang's cheek with her index finger and said with a smile, "You have such a sweet tongue. Even though Auntie knows you're lying to me, I still love hearing it. Don't you think that's a common woman's problem?"

"Praising others is just sweet talk, but saying you look young, Auntie, is a fact." Xu Haiyang handed Lin Wan a cocktail, then another to Lin Yue, before finally taking the beer from the waiter and saying, "I never lie to my aunt, right?"

"Okay, okay, that's all the truth!" Lin Wan smiled and took a sip of her cocktail.

Lin Yue put down his wine glass and asked Xu Haiyang, "Come back to America with us. You can't help Feng'er here and you're just causing trouble everywhere. Your father and I are very worried about you."

"I didn't cause any trouble, Mommy. I just went out to sing karaoke, and who knew I'd run into a fight." Xu Haiyang pouted and complained, "I just went to break up the fight since they were all people I knew, but I ended up getting hurt. It's not my fault at all."

"Is it Aunt Flo?" Xu Haiyang turned to Lin Wan and winked.

"No matter what, I don't think you can stay here. Your cousin is too busy to care about you. As for you, I know you've always been a troublemaker, hanging out with shady characters and having no self-discipline whatsoever. You were lucky to be rescued this time, but what if you don't have someone to save you next time?" Lin Yue said seriously. "Spending your days with those fair-weather friends, it's only a matter of time before something happens. Even if you're not involved in the fights, those ruthless people can't tell who's who when they're red-eyed. I don't want to lose my son before I even have a grandson, so you have to go back this time and do business with your father properly. Also, your father has found a suitable girl for you, so go back and arrange the marriage."

"Mom! What era are we living in? How can you still arrange marriages?" Xu Haiyang pouted. "People in China have free love now. You guys are so outdated."

"Wait for you to fall in love and get married?" Lin Yue scoffed. "Come on, expecting you to fall in love, get married, and have kids is unrealistic. Your father and I probably won't even see what our grandson looks like in our lifetime."

"Mom, how can you be so insecure?"

"Okay, I'm confident. You've had more relationships than there are grains of sand on this beach, right? Which one of them actually worked out? Even if it didn't work out, at least give me a few grandchildren. If you have a few kids, your dad and I won't care whether you live or die."

Xu Haiyang choked, staring at Lin Wan in disbelief, and asked, "Mom, so the reason you and Dad had me was just to give you a few grandsons? Once you have grandsons, I, as your son, am obsolete?"

"Otherwise what?" Lin Wan raised her head and admitted arrogantly, "We don't expect to turn the tables on you, but it's different with our grandson. There's still a chance to bring honor to the family. That's called cutting our losses!"
