My partner at Hogwarts is Tom

Chapter 44 Hogsmeade, poor Tom is being played like a puppet.

"Good morning, Professor McGonagall."

Good morning, Victor, and Tom too. Oh, you look really handsome today.

As she spoke, Professor McGonagall patted Tom's head, who was dressed in a hunting outfit.

In response to Professor McGonagall's praise, Tom politely gave her a kiss on the hand.

Then she conjured a small flower and gave it to Professor McGonagall.

Professor McGonagall smiled and took the little flower from Tom, pinning it to her chest. Then she asked Victor.

"Victor, are you also heading to Hogsmeade?"

"Yes, Professor McGonagall, we're heading to the Three Broomsticks for a drink, and while we're at it, we'll show Tom around Hogsmeade."

"Okay, you and Tom go ahead. I'll be checking the young wizards' application forms with Sprout and the others later."

"Okay, Professor McGonagall, see you later with three brooms."

After saying that, Victor walked towards the professor's Thestral carriage, amidst the envious gazes of the young wizards who were queuing up to have their application forms checked.

Good morning, Hagrid, and Uw.

Victor chuckled and patted Uwu's head as it leaned closer, then casually stuffed a large piece of jerky into Uwu's mouth. He then addressed Hagrid, who was putting horse tack on Uwu.

"Good morning, Viktor. Thank you for your feedback. Aragog seems to be in much better spirits lately!"

"That's good. Hagrid, wanna go for a drink with the Three Broomsticks later?"

"No, Viktor, a scorpion-tailed beast is pregnant, and I need to take good care of it for a while."

Hearing Hagrid's grinning reply, Viktor's eye twitched involuntarily.

This is absolutely outrageous. How on earth did Hagrid manage to hybridize the fire crab and the lion-tailed scorpion?

It actually succeeded! I just hope it doesn't turn out to be anything weird.

"Okay then, I hope he will be a healthy and adorable little guy."

"Oh, thank you, Viktor. I think it will be."

At this time, the first batch of young wizards whose applications were approved also arrived here.

Hearing the excited shouts of the young wizards, Hagrid turned to Victor and said...

"Victor, I'll treat you to a drink at the Hog's Head next time. I need to go hitch up the wagons for the little wizards."

"Then I'll wait."

Viktor waved to Hagrid as he hurried away, and then got into the magical carriage that Uw was pulling.

…………

Before the carriage had even come to a complete stop, Tom eagerly jumped off.

When Victor turned around after saying goodbye to Uu.

Then they saw Tom being drawn up by a colorful, tangible candy scent, floating towards the Candy Duke not far away.

When Victor arrived at Honey Duke, Tom was already pushing a cart and sweeping the streets.

Tom was seen pushing the cart with one foot and gliding along with the other.

Tom walked through the counter piled with all sorts of candies, his hands flashing out countless afterimages.

On the small cart, all sorts of candies were piled up.

Chocolate Frog, Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans, Coconut Ice Cream, Spicy Honey Candy, Licorice Wand, Ice Mouse, Super Bubble Gum, Peppermint, Creamy Mint, Vampire Lollipop, Frankincense Nougat, Sour Lollipop, and more.

All sorts of candies were piled up into a wobbly little mountain, swaying left and right as Tom slid across it.

But thanks to Tom's superb skills, the candy mountain, even though it was bent over, did not collapse.

The tall mountain of candy blocked the view, but Tom still made his way to the checkout counter accurately and steadily.

Peeking out from behind the candy mountain, it made the stunned shop assistant rush to process the payment.

At the same time, Tom casually picked up a pepper and popped it into his mouth.

The next moment, Tom let out a howl, and his entire body turned visibly red. His mouth opened wide, and a burst of flame shot out.

Tom, his tongue tingling from the spiciness, waved his arms wildly.

Suddenly I touched something cold, and without thinking, I put it in my mouth.

The next moment, as the ice mouse entered his mouth, Tom the cat couldn't help but shiver, his teeth chattering.

Ice Mouse and Pepper Boy were jumping around inside Tom's belly.

Tom the cat kept turning red and white.

Sparks would occasionally fly out from those constantly chattering teeth.

After the effects of Pepper Sprite and Ice Mouse had worn off, Tom lay on the counter with a look of lingering satisfaction on his face.

Tom couldn't help but feel excited as he watched the candy he had carefully selected being packed up by the shop assistant.

Suddenly, Tom leaned over the counter and started sniffing, then stared wide-eyed at the dark brown counter.

"chocolate!"

Tom was certain that he had just smelled a rich chocolate aroma from the counter!

Suddenly, Tom remembered a bedtime story Victor had once told him about Charlie's Chocolate Factory.

Thinking back to the unique taste and experience of the Pepper Sprite and Ice Mouse.

Tom was immediately certain that this candy store was just like the chocolate factory.

Everything was made with delicious candy and chocolate.

So Tom opened his mouth and bit down hard on the dark brown counter.

"Snap!"

A crisp sound rang out, but it wasn't the sound of chocolate being chewed; it was the sound of Tom's teeth breaking.

He looked up, his face blank, and grinned.

Then cracks gradually appeared on Tom's once-good teeth, eventually turning into countless fragments that fell off.

Upon seeing this, Viktor couldn't help but raise his hand to cover his face.

No, he didn't let Tom go hungry! Why is he so greedy?

Honeydukes' counter is made of fine black walnut wood, with a chocolate-flavored lacquer finish.

He pursed his lips like a toothless old man.

Tom stared blankly at the pile of broken teeth on the ground.

Then, incredulously, he glanced at the counter with a huge tooth mark on it.

Tom reluctantly swept up the broken teeth that were scattered all over the floor and put them back together. Then, he reached behind him and pulled out a brand new set of teeth.

The teeth gleamed like pearls in the dim light of Honey Duke.

Tom shoved the tooth into his mouth and proudly flashed his new set of big, white teeth.

Then, he turned his defiant gaze once again to the sturdy counter.

Hearing the crisp "click" of Tom's teeth clashing together and seeing their shiny luster, Victor had no doubt about the sharpness of Tom's new teeth.

So he simply reached out and grabbed Tom by the scruff of his neck.

I felt myself being lifted up.

Tom, still unwilling to give up, glared back at the counter, determined to see if his new teeth were harder than the counter's.

Then he was met with Viktor's dark face.

He looked back at the counter where he had chewed a row of large teeth marks.

And the shop assistant next to him, who was so shocked by what he saw that the quill pen had fallen onto the paper, was completely unaware of it.

Tom turned his head away somewhat guiltily, and Victor held him in his hand, pretending not to care as he whistled.

After Victor glared at him and put him down.

Tom, with lightning speed, grabbed various tools, including but not limited to instant noodles, Tom's super glue, a hammer, nails, and so on, and busied himself with ping-pong on the row of teeth marks.

A moment later, the smoke that had enveloped half the counter dissipated, and Tom's figure reappeared.

The row of teeth marks on the counter had disappeared.

The entire counter was brand new, looking almost exactly the same as when it first appeared.

Finally, with the staff bidding them farewell, the two of them left Honey Duke Candy Store with a full load of goodies.

Feeling the envious glances cast at him by the young wizards around him.

Victor glanced at Tom beside him, who was basking in the envious gazes of the young wizards, strutting proudly with his head held high, carrying a transparent plastic bag full of his spoils from Honeydukes. He couldn't help but shake his head.

However, Victor didn't say anything about it, since Tom had bought the candy with his own savings.

As long as he doesn't cause trouble, Tom can do whatever he wants.

Seeing the noisy little wizards around him, Victor then took Tom and headed toward the three brooms.

Professor McGonagall and her team must have arrived by now.

I'll go have a drink while I go and ask Professor McGonagall and the others for some advice on teaching.

Pushing open the heavy wooden door with three brooms, a warm feeling mixed with the sweet aroma of butterbeer wafted out.

The flames in the fireplace were leaping merrily, illuminating the entire tavern with a bright and warm glow.

Bundles of dried herbs and gleaming copper pots hung from the wooden ceiling, and old photos of wizards adorned the walls, occasionally winking at those who entered.

Several early-arriving guests, mostly older couples, were already seated around several sturdy oak round tables.

The sounds of conversation and laughter mingled with the clinking of glasses, creating a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere.

Victor spotted the table near the fireplace immediately.

Professor McGonagall, Professor Sprout, Professor Sinister (astronomy class), and Professor Vincent (herbalism class) were already seated there.

Several professors were talking in hushed tones, each with a steaming beverage in front of them.

"Ah, Victor, over here!" Professor Sprout was the first to spot them and waved kindly.

Victor walked over with a smile, and Tom followed closely at his feet, looking around curiously.

Good afternoon, professors. I hope we're not too late.

"Perfect, my dear." Professor McGonagall took a sip of her drink, her stern face softening in the firelight.

"We just ordered our drinks. Please sit down."

Just as Victor was about to pull out a chair, he heard light footsteps coming from the bar area.

He turned his head and saw Ms. Rosmerta, the shop owner with three brooms, walking towards their table with a tray.

Lady Rosmerta is undoubtedly the most captivating sight in this tavern.

She was tall and slender, and her fair skin was made even more apparent by the well-tailored dark green robe she wore.

Thick chestnut-brown curly hair was loosely tied back, with a few strands playfully falling beside her cheeks.

"Professors, you've ordered hot mead and... oh, new guest."

She placed the cups on the tray one by one, her voice melodious and pleasant, her gaze naturally falling on Victor and Tom at his feet.

In that instant, Tom seemed to be struck by a silent spell.

It froze in place for a moment, then its two round cat eyes widened instantly, the pupils dilating, clearly reflecting the swaying figure of Ms. Rosmerta.

Then, the shape of the pupils began to twist and stretch, eventually turning into two violently beating, sparkling pink hearts!

"Pfft—! Pfft—!"

Two plumes of white steam suddenly shot out of Tom's ears, like a steam locomotive suddenly sounding its whistle.

Ms. Rosmerta had clearly noticed Tom, and she bent down and asked with a smile.

"Oh, and there's a Mr. Cat, he looks very handsome in his little hunting outfit."

As she drew near, a scent mingled with subtle perfume, butterbeer, and woody notes enveloped her.

Tom's head immediately tilted back to its limit, like a sunflower following the sun, as Ms. Rosmerta lowered her head.

It opened its mouth wide, revealing a set of brand-new, shiny, pearly white teeth.

Then he took a deep breath, trying to make himself appear more "gentlemanly".

The result was that his puffed-out chest and pursed lips, combined with his heart-shaped eyes that were still puffing out air, made him look even more comical.

Ms. Rosmerta was amused and chuckled. "What an interesting little fellow."

As she spoke, she reached out and pinched Tom's cheek.

Then they saw Tom's face changing shape on Ms. Rosmerta's fingertips like clay.

Seeing Tom's expression, Ms. Rosmerta became interested and began to change her hands with great enthusiasm.

A moment later, leaving Tom, who had been turned into a "cow or horse," she straightened up and smiled at Victor.

"So, sir, what would you like to order? Our butterbeer is especially rich today."

Victor quickly ordered two butterbeers, just wanting to end this embarrassing situation as soon as possible.

After taking notes, Ms. Rosmerta nodded gracefully to all of them, then turned and swayed her hips as she returned to the bar.

Tom's gaze was drawn to that dark green figure as if by an invisible thread, his neck craning out.

It wasn't until Ms. Rosmerta disappeared behind the curtain behind the bar that it seemed to have its bones removed, and it slumped to the ground with a soft "thud."

It covered its chest with its two front paws, looking exaggeratedly as if it had been struck by Cupid's arrow.

The professors at the table had clearly witnessed this scene.

Professor Sprout covered his mouth, his shoulders trembling slightly.

Professor Sinister raised an eyebrow with interest.

Even the usually serious Professor McGonagall couldn't help but let a slight smile curve her lips upwards.

"It seems," Professor McGonagall cleared her throat, trying to sound serious, "that Tom not only has a fondness for candy, but also... has quite a good eye for aesthetics."

Victor sighed and rubbed his forehead in exasperation. He then reached out and picked up Tom, who was still sprawled on the ground looking "unable to move," and placed him on an empty chair next to him.
