My partner at Hogwarts is Tom

Chapter 32 Spellcasting and Attempts

Tom, who had climbed out of the lake, glanced at the flock of birds that had flown away with lingering fear.

He then unconsciously shuddered.

Tom looked at his wet fur and groped himself all over.

Then, like taking off clothes, they removed the hair from their bodies.

Her fair and tender body, dressed in white underwear with red checks and a white vest, was revealed.

As Tom twisted the cloth, the lake water gushed out of his fur coat like a waterfall.

After twisting it a couple of times, Tom unfolded his fur coat and shook it a couple more times.

Looking again, the once wet fur coat now looked brand new.

It tucked its paw into its clothes and then pulled its tail to put it back in its place.

Then, a brand new Tom appeared.

However, Tom, who had just finished dressing, shook his head.

Then he raised his hand and slapped his left ear hard.

The next moment, a small fish flew out of Tom's right ear.

It even lashed out at Tom with its tail in mid-air.

Finally, he bounced and jumped back into the lake.

Victor glanced at Tom, who was cursing and swearing at the lake.

Victor shook his head, and then, after a twist, transformed back into a smaller unicorn.

Lifting his hoof, Victor pushed away the face of a little unicorn that wanted to take a bite out of him, and felt his new body.

This body is very powerful and can run very fast. It can also use the magic within it, but it requires the skill of casting spells without a staff to mobilize it.

However, after trying it out, Victor discovered that he could also use magic by utilizing the magical organs within the magical creature he had transformed into.

Thinking this, a bright green light shone from the small horn of the unicorn that Viktor had transformed into, and he landed at his feet.

The next moment, the thick silver moss under Viktor's feet began to grow rapidly.

Seeing this amazing scene, the little unicorns that were watching Victor exclaimed in surprise.

Immediately, they widened their eyes, carefully examined their chubby little round corners, and then shook them with all their might.

Unfortunately, no matter how hard they tried, only a tiny bit of white light could be emitted from their little horns.

Apart from that, nothing magical happened.

At that moment, Victor also noticed the little unicorns' adorable imitation of his using magic.

Viktor's eyes lit up when he saw the white light shining from the little unicorns' blunt horns.

This is a unique magical ability belonging to unicorns, possessing the power to dispel darkness and ward off evil spirits.

Even powerful dark wizards, or dark magic items,

Even when faced with a full-force ramming attack from an adult unicorn using its innate magic, they would be severely injured, or even completely annihilated due to the evil-expelling effect of the attack.

Then, Victor also tried to sense the possible innate magic of the unicorn he had transformed into.

However, what ultimately lit up on Viktor's small horn was not white light, but wisps of silver mist.

This is not the unicorn's innate magic, but Victor's guardian charm.

Stopping his still-developing Patronus, Victor raised his hoof and scratched his chin.

As expected, the magical creatures he had transformed into were now nothing more than empty shells.

If you want to transform and use the unique magical talents of the magical creatures, then you can do so.

I guess I need to learn more about how magical creatures use their innate abilities and enhance my understanding of the magic of animal transformation.

My current application of the magic of animal transformation is still in its initial stage.

The only animals they can transform into are the size of ordinary cats and dogs.

Furthermore, one needs to have a thorough understanding of the animal's anatomy to successfully transform.

It seems I'll have to ask my grandfather to send over the family books related to magical creature talents.

Then I need to go back to Professor McGonagall to relearn Transfiguration.

Well, I should also look for Professor Babuling and study ancient runes with her.

As Viktor pondered this, he unconsciously lowered his head and opened his mouth to eat.

"Mmm, oh my god, mmm, this texture! This taste!"

The silvery moss melts on the tip of the tongue, like frosting formed by moonlight, and carries the crispness of humus from the depths of a forest after the rain.

Viktor, transformed into a unicorn, instinctively chewed, as a wave of distinct sensory experiences, unlike anything he had ever felt before, swept over him.

The surface of the moss is not as damp and slippery as one might imagine; rather, it is like the finest velvet, slightly moistened by dew.

Each tuft of fine "fuzz" offers slight resistance between the teeth, then gently dissipates, releasing its rich internal fluids.

The juice was icy cold, but not pungent; as it slid down my throat, it was like a clear, silvery thread.

The initial taste is an extremely faint, almost imperceptible sweetness, like snowmelt that has melted the stars.

But as you chew, a more complex flavor emerges.

It smells like the subtle woody fragrance of the inside of an aged oak barrel, mixed with a faint, cool fragrance reminiscent of moonflower.

The most wonderful thing is the aftertaste; after the moss is completely swallowed, a very faint, minty, refreshing sensation lingers in the mouth.

Yet it has no spiciness whatsoever, only filling the entire mouth and even the nasal cavity with a clear and fresh feeling, as if you can smell the purest air of the forest at night.

"Ugh... Ahhhhh..." Viktor unconsciously hummed again, the experience was too novel.

The joy of tasting food as a human being stems more from the resonance of seasoning, cooking techniques, and memories.

Now, having transformed into a unicorn, the joy is direct and primal, purely stemming from the body's instinctive awe of this perfect "food."

This has a completely different texture and taste from when the human body eats.

With each bite of moss, he felt the magic within the unicorn's body flow more smoothly and joyfully; the muscles beneath its fur warmed slightly, filled with a serene power.

He lowered his head and took another bite, this time deliberately using the tip of his tongue to pick up a small piece and savor the process of the velvety texture melting in his mouth.

The silvery liquid dampened the white downy hair at the corners of his mouth, shimmering faintly in the hazy light filtering through the forest.

As Victor chewed, he thought to himself, "This is probably one of the reasons why unicorns choose to live here."

This unique silver moss is probably more than just food; it is also a manifestation of its magical purity and profound connection with nature.

He could even vaguely sense that as the moss energy was absorbed, he felt a different, yet incredibly pure, magic being generated within the unicorn's body.

"Hmm...it's not just that it tastes good." He silently concluded, lifting his hoof to gently tread on the thick moss carpet of the ground.

"It's simply... a cleansing agent for the soul, a nourishing agent for magic, for unicorns. No wonder they treasure this place so much."

"Hmm, next time I can try transforming into other animals and tasting all sorts of food. It would surely have a different taste and be a great experience."

Thinking this, Viktor tilted his head and nibbled on a nearby bush.

"Hmm, this doesn't taste very good. The leaves aren't very chewy, but the twigs are quite delicious."

"Hmm, let me try this one too..."
