All Heavens: Starting with the Predator, I'm No Longer Human

Apart from the chirping of insects and birds, the rainforest was eerily quiet. A peacock deer, grazing among the orchid-covered grasses, seemed to sense the lurking danger; it raised its head and looked around.

If anything seems amiss, it will flee this place.

They're really alert!

Chu Cige thought to himself.

This is the survival rule for the weak: they must always pay attention to changes in their surroundings and avoid putting themselves in danger.

Even so, this peacock deer was doomed to die today. Not only did the slingshot beast see it as prey, but even Chu Cige wanted to try the peacock deer's taste; he had never eaten a creature from Pandora before!

Now is a good opportunity to test how their flesh differs from that of animals on Earth or Ironblood Planet.

Reina suddenly exclaimed, "The Slingshot Beast has made its move!"

The powerful force even sent the peacock deer flying backward.

"Eek...!"

Blue, shimmering blood drifted in the air, and the fallen peacock deer let out a painful howl as it struggled to get up.

But the gaping hole in its chest and the slingshot beast's head deeply embedded in its body made even the simplest act of breathing increasingly difficult for it.

The body begins to feel slow and weak, which is not only a consequence of blood loss, but also a numbing symptom caused by the invasion of toxins.

The sudden change startled a flock of birds in the forest, and the other peacocks and deer that were still foraging scattered and fled.

Just then, the slingshot beast's head, deeply embedded in the peacock deer's body, suddenly emitted a series of strange shrieks.

But before it could even rejoice for a moment, Chu Cige, who had seen that the matter was over in the distance, fired a deep blue cluster laser and ended the slingshot beast's attempt to enjoy its prey.

"Let's go, let's examine the slingshot beast's head and see what its body structure is like." Chu Cige couldn't wait to spur his horse forward; he was now very eager to know the structure of the creature's neck.

Before encountering the slingshot beast, Chu Cige hadn't really paid much attention to this creature, having only glanced at it casually in the information.

Reina appeared beside him unnoticed, her eyes fixed on the slingshot beast's corpse. She reached out and stroked the still-twitching muscles, sighing:

"Its consciousness has been completely lost, but the body is intact, and it can even be restarted once a suitable brain is found."

"It seems you think the same way I do." Chu Cige removed the slingshot beast's head and examined it carefully.

The head was sharp at both ends and not heavy in his hand. He lifted the head up and could see that the bottom of the head was covered with connecting tissue, just like he had seen it from a distance.

This is a special kind of "neural link source," which shows that the Slingshot Beast does indeed have a symbiotic relationship with its own body.

Especially after understanding how the Chu Ci songs mate and reproduce.

The two parts of the slingshot beast's body are actually related as parents; that is, the body is the mother, and the head is the child.

It can shoot its head out at any time to hunt, and its body seems to have a specific high-frequency noise receiver that can find its own head and reconnect through the noise emitted by the head.

Chu Cige didn't believe the Predator hadn't studied this creature, yet he hadn't seen it in Lisa's lab.

This peculiar symbiotic relationship can probably only exist on Pandora, or perhaps only the Slingshot Beast species can withstand this abnormal separation of heads.
