All Heavens: Starting with the Predator, I'm No Longer Human

Chapter 72 Killing someone by destroying their spirit

The tightly closed door was pushed open, and Chu Cige strode in, ignoring the fearful look in Naik's eyes. He set up the holographic projector, ready to show him a good show.

Nike looked at Chu Cige as he entered through the door. Although he wasn't wearing his black armor, he recognized him at a glance.

This monster, with its dark brown skin and beast-like face, was the same one that had killed him in a few moves yesterday. He didn't know why the monster hadn't killed him but had instead healed him and kept him here, but he was now powerless to resist, his spirit completely shattered.

The helplessness he felt yesterday still echoed in his mind. In front of this monster, he was easily captured like a child, unable to even leave a mark on him.

He didn't know how the old patriarch and the others had defeated such a monster before. In his opinion, it would be incredibly easy for this monster to kill him.

Seeing the monster fiddling with a pitch-black box, Nek felt a sense of unease, as if what was about to happen was beyond his comprehension.

As Chu Cige turned off the room lights, a holographic projection appeared, and the show began.

Nike was startled by the sudden darkness. Before he could react, a video was projected from the black box at the foot of his bed.

The things that appeared in the video immediately caught his attention. In a room similar to his own but with completely different furnishings, Netini was lying quietly.

Nettini in the picture is as beautiful as ever. Her luminous skin is simply a masterpiece of the Creator. Her slender body, smooth muscle lines, and taut, streamlined abdomen make her unforgettable at first glance.

With her long eyelashes and the Na'vi's signature golden eyes, everything seemed so harmonious. Her oval face, willow-leaf eyebrows, and a touch of the Na'vi's wildness made Neytiri seem like a gift from heaven to Pandora, even as she lay there.

Nike stared in fascination, raising his arm to reach out and touch, but only then did he realize that the hands he had once been so proud of were long gone.

Pain filled his eyes as he stared blankly at his broken arm. Could he, so crippled, still possess the perfect Netini? He was now a useless person, unable even to perform the most basic self-care; how could he possibly win Netini's heart?

What's more, he's been imprisoned here by this monster, his life is in danger, and he doesn't even know if he'll have a future...

But just then, a new change appeared in the holographic projection, attracting his attention.

The monster suddenly burst into the scene, wearing the same black mask he had worn the day before. He walked to Netini, who was lying on the bed, and did something to her in a way he didn't know.

Then he saw Nettini pin the monster down and connect the thing that looked like a "neural link source" on the back of his head to herself.

Under Nek's incredulous gaze, Netini seemed to have completely changed. The desire and lust in her eyes were like a flame that would burn everything to ashes.

Things started to take an unexpected turn, and a look of fear flashed in Nike's eyes. He had some unbelievable suspicion in his mind.

He kept denying it to himself: "No...no...Netini isn't that kind of person..."

"This is all fake...that's not Nettini..."

He couldn't believe what he was seeing, but as the video played on, his suspicions were gradually confirmed.

Nettini's initiative was terrifying; after the monster completed the neural connection, it lay there motionless, letting her do as she pleased.

Nek's eyes widened, reflecting the holographic video footage in his pupils. Netini had completed her final transformation. She tilted her head back, like a fearless female knight conquering what she considered her steed.

"No……!!!"

Nek let out a cry from the depths of his soul, tears of pain and resentment streaming from the corners of his eyes. He stretched out his broken arm as if trying to grab something, but he didn't even have a hand, so what could he grab?

He roared and struggled desperately, but all to no avail. The video continued to play, and Nettini grew increasingly wild, a far cry from the Nettini he remembered.

He involuntarily closed his eyes and collapsed weakly onto the bed, the scenes from just moments ago flashing through his mind, intensifying his pain.

Even if he didn't want to look, the roars and whispers that rang in his ears were like a paintbrush, pushing his imagination to its limit, and everything was clearly imprinted in his mind.

The Chu Ci song in the shadows clearly recorded everything, even the struggle, pain, helplessness, and tears on Nek's face. This was excellent material; it might be useful in breaking down Nettini's psychological defenses…

Until the video ended, Nek never opened his eyes. He lay there motionless like a corpse until Chu Cige used "Alice" to communicate with him, at which point he began to react.

"Nek, as the new successor to the Na'vi chieftainship, you possessed far greater talent and potential than any other Na'vi, yet you ruined it all yourself..."

"Netini is just a somewhat special Na'vi. Are you really going to abandon your promising future for her?"

"You saw everything that just happened! She's not whole anymore, and she's not the ideal woman you once knew. Are you really going to give up your wonderful future for her...?"

"You should have enjoyed the adoration and love of all the women in the tribe... but look at yourself now, do you think you can ever go back to what you were before?"

"There are many young people in the clan who wish you dead, so they can take everything from you: flowers, applause, fame, beautiful women, status, power..."

"If you follow my instructions, I can give you a chance to start over, as if none of this ever happened..."

Nak was completely dazed. He was surprised that the monster could communicate with him, and he was also at a loss for how to deal with Chu Cige's words.

His mind was in turmoil. On one hand, there was the image of Nettini conquering her mount, and on the other hand, he was wondering what Chu Cige was trying to achieve by saying all this.

"Ha! I wish I could kill you right now, you monster who toys with life. My people won't let this go. 'Eva' will protect every Na'vi, and one day you'll come down to join me."

Nike now wished he could stab him to death; he had no mind to listen to his sway. At worst, it would just be death; he would simply want to return to "Eva's" embrace sooner.

"Hehe! Very good, you have backbone. I can give you time to think it over. I hope you stay this tough."

Chu Cige didn't dwell on it too much. He didn't expect to defeat it in one go. It would take time to slowly wear it down, and he had plenty of time.

The room was illuminated again by white light, breaking through all the darkness, but Nike found the light so blinding…
