Wizard: I have ten trillion nanomachines

Warm blood splattered on his cheeks, bringing a fishy smell, but Luo Kunlun's eyes did not change in the slightest. His steps were like the wind, and his figure turned into a blur as he chased after Vollo's back and rushed into the house.

The candlelight flickered inside, and the ambiguous atmosphere had not yet dissipated before it was replaced by a strong sense of bloodshed and murderous intent.

Vollow was terrified and scrambled toward the backyard, the carpet flying everywhere and the tables and chairs he crashed into making a loud clattering sound.

He ran while yelling, "Help! Help! Someone help me!"

The only response he received was the sound of his own hurried footsteps.

Those guards and soldiers only earn a few coins a month, why are they risking their lives now!

I silently prayed a couple of times, thinking that I had done right by him.

Luo Kunlun's speed was astonishing, terrifying even in the cramped room. Just as Vollo reached the backyard gate, he felt a chill on the back of his neck, a deathly coldness instantly enveloping his entire body.

He instinctively lunged forward, trying to dodge the fatal blow, but with a "ripping" sound, his outer robe was ripped open by the greatsword, leaving a long gash. A piercing pain shot through his shoulder blade, and blood instantly soaked through his clothes.

"Run! Why aren't you running anymore?" Luo Kunlun's icy voice rang in Vollo's ears.

Vollo collapsed to the ground, trembling all over, his previous composure gone.

Turning his head, he saw Luo Kunlun holding the Mo Yuan Greatsword, its tip dripping blood, his eyes as cold as ice, approaching him step by step. The oppressive aura emanating from him, as heavy as a mountain, made it difficult for him to even breathe.

"Spare me! Spare me!" Vollo kowtowed repeatedly, his forehead quickly bleeding profusely. "Good sir, I have money! I have lots of game cards! I'll give them all to you! Please don't kill me!"

"I'm asking you, where is the Mountain Fang Gang?" Luo Kunlun remained unmoved, the tip of his sword pressed against Luo's throat; with just a slight push, he could take his life.

"Confess honestly, or I'll kill you right now!"

Vollo's face turned deathly pale. He dared not conceal anything and spoke rapidly, "The Mountain Fang Gang's stronghold is in Black Wind Canyon on the edge of the Dark Tree Sea! Their leader is a cyborg, extremely powerful, with over three hundred men under his command. They specialize in robbing merchants and hunting magical beasts outside the camp and along the edge of the Tree Sea, accumulating a vast fortune and game points!"

"Garang is one of their leaders, responsible for contacting businesses in nearby towns. I... I just helped them dispose of stolen goods and got a share of the profits. I have nothing to do with them!" he said with a mournful face, trying to distance himself from the situation.

Luo Kunlun frowned slightly and pressed, "How many game cards does the Mountain Fang Gang have? Do they have any magic stones?"

"Yes! Definitely!" Vollow replied quickly. "I heard they'd be making offerings to a certain wizard, at least ten magic stones alone!"

A large number of game cards, plus magic stones, if they were all taken...

Luo Kunlun's eyes flickered slightly, and he continued to ask, "How is the defense of Black Wind Canyon?"

"They've set up a checkpoint at the canyon entrance, with traps inside and quite a few elite warriors!" Vollo dared not miss any information. "But with your strength, sir, you can surely take them down easily!"

"If you'd like, I can show you the way!"

He raised his hand and struck Vollo on the back of the neck, knocking him unconscious.

Keeping this mayor around is still useful; at least we can plunder a lot of wealth from his house, and he can also be used as bait to enter Black Wind Canyon in the future.

Luo Kunlun turned around and searched the house, and soon found a heavy wooden box in a hidden compartment in the bedroom.

Keep the game cards and medicine safe, and discard the rest of your valuables.

After dealing with everything, Luo Kunlun carried the unconscious Vollo on his back as if he were carrying a bag of garbage, and quietly left his house. The streets remained silent, doors and windows tightly shut, and no one dared to peek into the killing and looting that took place in the dead of night.

Leaving the town, Lokunlun tossed Vollo into a carriage he found in his backyard and drove off towards the Dark Forest.

The carriage sped through the night, its wheels crunching over the gravel on the ground.

Luo Kunlun sat in the carriage, pondering his next move.

Head to Blackwind Canyon, destroy the Mountain Fang Gang's stronghold, and seize their wealth.

He originally planned to kill monsters, but after thinking about it carefully, killing monsters to sell materials would result in the tower taking a tax, which was really a loss!

Instead of doing that, we should kill the bandits who are entrenched in this area.

Vollo nodded mechanically, straightened his tattered clothes, and, despite his injuries, walked toward the outpost at the mouth of the canyon.

Two bandits wielding long knives leaned against the boulder. When they saw Vollo, a hint of mockery flashed in their eyes, but they did not question him further.

After all, they were old acquaintances who had helped the village dispose of stolen goods for years, so no one thought much of it.

"Mayor Vollo, what brings you to the mountain stronghold today?" a bandit asked casually.

"I have business to discuss with the gang leader." Vollo's voice was stiff, but he didn't reveal any weakness.

"Business is good! Come on in, the gang leader and the others are drinking in the village!"

"By the way, who is this person?"

"The newly recruited guard is a relative of mine."

"Oh, I see. Then it's alright."

The bandits waved and let them pass.

Luo Kunlun followed closely behind, as if he were merely a bodyguard.
