The dream of becoming a Pokémon master

59. A busy life is about to begin.

Kyosuke was taken aback: "Don't you already know everything about me?"

Oak sighed helplessly. Although he really wanted to give him a good whack on the head to teach him a lesson, he was well aware of Kyosuke's reputation for being stubborn. So he had to use words to make Kyosuke obey: "None of your Pokémon seem to be ordinary. Summon them and I'll do an inspection. Anyway, this is my daily job, so I'll start with you."

Having heard what Professor Oak said, Kyosuke naturally agreed.

"Come out, everyone!"

Fire Dinosaur, Fire Sparrow Phoenix, Nidoran the Crybaby, and Butterfly Dancer all make an appearance!

As soon as the dance began, the small space felt a bit crowded, and Kyosuke immediately took her back.

Fortunately, Keisuke specifically chose a relatively open space in the middle of the Poké Ball storage room to summon Mai, so her appearance didn't knock over the shelves holding the Poké Balls on both sides.

But the enormous Butterfree had already left a deep impression on Professor Oak.

"It really is huge! It's more than five times the size of a normal Butterfree." Even though it was only for a moment, Professor Oak was able to roughly tell the size of Mai based on his expertise.

Although we don't know much about Professor Oak's private life, he's absolutely impeccable when it comes to Pokémon! Kyosuke sighed inwardly, "Whether it's Pokémon ecology or training, Professor Oak is top-notch."

"This Charmeleon is the one you took from me, right? What's its name?" Professor Oak approached Charmeleon and patted its head. Charmeleon recognized Professor Oak and rubbed its head against him.

"His name is Nakahi, Doctor," Kyosuke replied.

Kyosuke clearly felt Professor Oak's hand stiffen for a second before continuing, "He's been trained well. Whether it's his height, skin color, or the flame on his tail, he shows his excellence. You've put in a lot of effort."

Kyosuke smiled sheepishly; he wasn't happy about being praised by a titan of the Pokémon world.

Then, the doctor walked to the side of the Fiery Sparrow Phoenix, squatted down, and was about to stroke it when Phoenix flew up, leaving the doctor with no choice but to get up.

But Huang'er refused to cooperate and started flying around the ceiling. The Doctor, being an old man, was not as energetic as a young man, so he could only give Xiong Jie a meaningful look.

Kyosuke knew that Huang'er was curious about everything in the new environment, but she might get tired of this place later, since he had only decided to stay here for two months.

"Huang'er, cooperate." Xiong Jie beckoned to the little Fiery Sparrow Huang'er, and she obediently stopped in Xiong Jie's hand.

Professor Oak also came over and touched Ho-er's body, but before he could say anything, he was hit by a Love Flame.

"Ahem, Doctor, this..." Kyosuke was a little embarrassed, but at this moment, Huang'er was still in his hand, so he couldn't help the Doctor.

Fortunately, Professor Oak had accumulated a lot of experience in being suddenly attacked during "Professor Oak's Pokémon Lectures," so this level of attack was just a tickle to him.

Shaking his head to shake off the ash, Professor Oak stared at Spearow as if he were looking at Aunt Hanako: "Spearow shouldn't know any Fire-type moves. Even with a TM, it should only be able to learn Sunny Day. So this is a mutated Spearow? It mutated from Normal and Flying type to Fire and Flying type. What's the reason for the mutation? Could it be...?"

Professor Oak's gaze at Spearow frightened Huang'er, and Kyosuke had no choice but to interrupt the professor's "work mode," after all, he didn't want Huang'er to be studied every day: "Professor! Stop! If you keep doing this, I can't possibly entrust my Pokémon to you, and don't even mention helping out!"

Professor Oak finally snapped out of his daze, realizing he had been possessed again, and quickly apologized to Spearow. However, it seemed that Spearow wasn't going to forgive him.

Finally, Professor Oak came to the side of the problem children.

"And what's its name?"

"Crybaby."

"I think I understand why you two don't get along." The professor looked at Kyosuke with the kind of look one would give someone an idiot.

"I was entrusted to him by his father. I hope he can grow up and become capable of standing on his own. I even gave him more love than others..."

At this point, Nidoran gave Kyosuke a disdainful look.

"Haha, it doesn't seem to think so," Professor Oak chuckled, crouching down to examine Nidoran's condition. "Hmm, it's very healthy, the spikes on its back are sharp, and its muscles are well-developed. It should have evolved long ago..."

"Doctor... um..."

"Kyousuke, don't bother me."

"But Doctor..."

Professor Oak collapsed.

"Nidoran's back is poisonous!"

After Kyosuke fed the antidote to Professor Oak, he slowly woke up not long afterward.

"There are always many surprises waiting for us in the process of interacting with Pokémon."

In Kyosuke's view, this was just a forced explanation.

However, he is not qualified to evaluate Professor Oak, since Professor Oak has already proven himself.

"By the way, Kyosuke, what about your Glaceon? That's exclusive to the Sinnoh region, and it's quite rare in the Kanto region." The professor finally remembered Kyosuke's last Pokémon.

"Frost doesn't like research institutes or similar buildings. After all, the experiments he experienced in the past tormented him too much. Actually, he used to be just an Eevee. I had to take him to Sinnoh specifically to help him evolve into Glaceon," Kyosuke explained simply.

Although his tone was relaxed, Professor Oak knew the danger lurking within.

Kyosuke is someone who dislikes forcing Pokémon to evolve, believing that evolution is also about fate. Forcing a Pokémon to evolve, especially one like Eevee with multiple evolution forms, without discussing it with the Pokémon, is already enough to make Professor Oak realize the danger involved.

Professor Oak, as a legitimate researcher, adheres to the principle of mutual consent between trainers and Pokémon and will not force anyone. This is why Kyosuke felt comfortable bringing his beloved Pokémon here. If the Pokémon itself is unwilling, Kyosuke will not force it.

"The last one is Butterfree, right? Wait a minute, let's go to the garden." The professor quickly sat up, grabbed a bunch of Poké Balls, and led Kyosuke out of the Poké Ball storage room. Kyosuke quickly recalled everyone and followed.

Upon arriving in the courtyard, Professor Oak instructed Kyosuke to release Butterfree.

"Come out, Mai!" Kyosuke had no choice but to comply.

With its wingspan exceeding five meters, it was larger than that of a common Pidgeotto or Mantid, and its appearance immediately drew gasps of surprise from Professor Oak.

"This Butterfree is really beautiful! But for some reason, it seems a bit thinner than normal? But it's even more beautiful." Professor Oak, as expected of Professor Oak, immediately noticed Butterfree's love of beauty.

"Kyosuke, you really do have a great talent as a trainer." After seeing Kyosuke's lineup, the professor also praised him.

"But!" Then her tone changed, "For the next two months, I will also teach you my own training secrets, provided that you can complete your tasks well."

"No problem, Doctor! I'll do my best, Doctor!" Kyosuke was a little excited!

I thought it would be a chore, but it turned out to be a real bonus! Professor Oak was a renowned Pokémon trainer in his youth, and his training and development methods are invaluable even as a reference! And if I happen to get my hands on his Pokémon research notes, hehehehe…

Kyosuke has already started fantasizing about his wonderful life!

"So, first of all..." Professor Oak released all the Pokémon he had brought out of the Poké Balls, "...to start by feeding them!"

"Okay! Wait, why is it feeding?!"
