The dream of becoming a Pokémon master

27. Understanding the background of a city before challenging a gym is a basic respect for the city.

Kyosuke stood in front of the dojo.

This is a dojo that looks very strange from the outside.

Compared to Viridian's imposing appearance, it looks like a cheap bungalow with an ordinary front door, and it doesn't even look as imposing as Pokémon Center.

The entire place was white, like a white prison, trapping everyone inside and preventing them from leaving. Most importantly, Kyosuke, standing outside, kept hearing intermittent groans. Men's groans. Ah♂ ah♂ ah♂ ah♂ ah.

"Should we... or should we just forget about it? There are so many dojos in Kanto, one more won't make a difference." Kyosuke was unusually hesitant to back out.

"Young man, are you here to learn wrestling too?" An old lady passing by asked with a smile as she looked at the hesitant Kyosuke.

"No, I didn't, don't talk nonsense." Kyosuke naturally chose to deny it. "I just came to challenge the dojo."

Hearing this, the old lady smiled even more brightly: "Hey, hey, hey, come and see! Finally, a trainer has come to challenge the gym!" she shouted loudly to the surroundings.

Then Kyosuke witnessed a miraculous scene: countless aunties, grandmas, and old ladies emerged from all around, surrounding Kyosuke completely.

"My child, let me tell you, never learn sports like wrestling!"

"Yes, yes, my son and my husband were both tricked into joining. They wrestle together every day after training at the dojo and when they get home. I couldn't stop them."

"I don't know what this gym leader is capable of. Instead of being a proper gym leader, all he does is recruit people to learn wrestling."

"Yes, my husband is too..."

"My son is too..."

After being surrounded by explosions that output a lot of information, Kyosuke finally understood what had happened.

Back then, real estate development boomed in Yaolin City, and all the trees were cut down. Taking advantage of the hype, the son of one of the real estate tycoons designed and built this incredibly ugly building.

Because of his deep paternal love, the boss spent money to get a proper gym certificate from the league so that his son could have fun. He could also get the badge required for the tournament. He also bought several Pokémon that his son liked and that were reasonably strong.

Surprisingly, this young master was quite talented. He loved wrestling and used the dojo as a training and learning ground, even hiring people to practice wrestling techniques together. Most of the men in the neighborhood had worked part-time there.

What's terrifying is that some people actually become obsessed with wrestling, spending all their time in it and refusing to work or care about their families.

However, now that he knew everything, Kyosuke wanted to run away even more. Just thinking about the video he had seen yesterday made his brain tremble.

However, at that moment, the door opened.

What was expected to be a large door opening from the middle to both sides actually rose upwards. The figure of a muscular man emerged from the smoke.

When the smoke cleared, Kyosuke saw the smoke-emitting devices on both sides.

"Little friend, are you here to learn wrestling too?" He asked Kyosuke with a resolute face and a magnetic voice.

"Muji, you've dragged someone into a wrestling match again!" an older woman shouted.

"How dare you slander someone's innocence out of thin air!" Muji's eyes widened.

"What innocence? Are there any men in this Demon Forest City who haven't had their innocence ruined by you?"

Muji's face flushed red, and the veins on his forehead bulged as he argued, "What's this talk about innocence when it comes to men's affairs? Can wrestling be considered a crime?" Then came a string of incomprehensible words, such as "boy next door" and "van game," which made the elderly group burst into laughter.

However, Kyosuke didn't want to join either side, but now he had no choice. He strode up to Kiji and said loudly, "I am Kyosuke, the trainer, here to challenge the gym."

"Oh, a trainer? Go on, we don't need trainers here." Knowing that he wasn't a wrestler who came because of his reputation, Kiji felt bored. He waved to Kyosuke, indicating that he could leave, and then turned to return to the gym.

Kyosuke was about to teach the other person a lesson, but he hesitated when he thought about the other person's profession.

However, someone was faster than Kyosuke!

"Young Master, you have to accept the challenge! If you don't show up, that's fine, but if you do show up and refuse the challenger with this reason, and it gets reported to the League, your gym qualification will definitely be revoked! When the Master blames you..." A man even stronger than Muji suddenly appeared, grabbing Muji with one hand and making him unable to move. His seemingly gentle words were actually quite fierce, and he was wearing a butler's uniform, yet it didn't seem out of place.

When his father was mentioned, Muji froze, showing that he too had grown up in the shadows.

He slowly turned around, looking reluctantly at Kyosuke, and said, "Come on in if you want, take a look at my wrestling ring." Then he ignored him and walked inside on his own.

Kyosuke didn't move. He didn't want to come; he wanted to leave. He really didn't want to stay in this "interesting" city anymore.

He's only ten years old, why does he have to face so much!

However, the muscular butler on the other side wouldn't let Kyosuke leave. If he did, wouldn't it be a matter of reporting him to the Alliance? The young master would naturally get a scolding, and Kyosuke's life might be over!

"Hello, Mr. Kyosuke. I am Fan, the butler of young master Kiji. The young master is already inside preparing. Please come in with me." After saying that, he gave a wink and flexed his biceps.

"At your level, you can't possibly harm me." Kyosuke thought to himself.

However, considering that the other party might also be a skilled wrestler, Kyosuke didn't want to be touched, so he kept his distance and said to Fan, "Lead the way, and get this over with quickly."

Fan thought so too.

With the powerful Pokémon that the master equipped the young master with, they should be able to quickly defeat this young trainer. But to keep him quiet, let's wait until after the battle and give him a badge as a token gesture.

Fan silently prepared the script in his mind.

Unfortunately, he didn't know much about either of the main characters.

Kyosuke followed Fan into the dojo, and the first thing he saw was a row of wardrobes.

Sensing Kyosuke's confusion, Fan explained, "This is the dojo's vocal music club."

"?" Xiong Jie was bewildered.

Continuing forward, there was a floor made of soft rubber. On it, men were intertwined, emitting sweet moans.

"This is the training ground, right?" Kyosuke answered quickly.

"No, this is the beginner's area," Fan said.

"??" Kyosuke remained completely bewildered.

Finally, we arrived at a site made up of many piled-up rocks.

"This time it's Pokémon battle arena again, isn't it?" Kyosuke looked at the crowd in the arena, already feeling a bit hopeless.

"This was supposed to be the battlefield, but it will be the battlefield in a while." Fan was a little helpless.

Kyosuke felt this might become a dark chapter in his travel history.
