Tiger, I rejected the iron rice bowl.

Chapter 7 The Bold Tang Li

Looking at Tang Li's serious face, then glancing back at the menacing tiger at the cafeteria entrance, Wang Jianjun hesitated for a full three seconds before finally letting go: "You...you stay behind it, keep your distance! We'll be right at the entrance; shoot if there's any movement!"

"Thank you, Uncle Wang!" Tang Li's eyes lit up, and she turned and ran towards the cafeteria.

"Xiao Tang! Be careful!" Wang Jianjun shouted behind her, his voice full of worry.

He immediately waved to the security team: "Raise your guns! Protect Xiao Tang! If the tiger makes even the slightest move to harm anyone, shoot immediately!"

Tang Li ran to the cafeteria entrance, stopped, gave Wang Yuyu a gentle smile, and slowly opened her arms to indicate that she meant no harm: "I'm here, it's a secure job. Don't be nervous."

She maintained this posture and walked forward step by step until she was three meters away from the tiger before stopping.

This distance would not make the tiger feel threatened, but would also give her room to react in a critical moment.

Inside the sightseeing bus, Wang Weiguo had his face pressed against his phone screen, muttering under his breath, "That silly girl! She's going to drive me crazy!"

But he held the walkie-talkie tightly in his hand, not daring to give the order to fire.

He knew the situation better than anyone else. At such close range, if Wang Yuyu really made a move, even firing a gun wouldn't save Tang Li.

Tang Li is the person in the park who knows tigers best, so we can only trust her now.

He urged the driver in front, "Faster, faster!"

"I have no ill intentions towards you, and I will not harm you because of your secure job."

Tang Li's voice was very soft, like she was coaxing a child, "If you can understand me, just nod, okay?"

Wang Yu stared at her for two seconds, then slowly nodded his enormous tiger head.

Then, he turned around, nodded his head toward the kitchen, and looked back at Tang Li, as if to say, "Come with me."

"It really understood!"

Tang Li's eyes lit up, and her heart pounded. She gave Wang Jianjun at the door a "safe" gesture, and then carefully followed Wang Yuyu into the kitchen.

The security team outside the cafeteria had just breathed a sigh of relief, but when they saw Tang Li enter the kitchen, their hearts jumped into their throats again.

Wang Jianjun quickly took out his phone and opened the surveillance footage of the kitchen.

You can see the image on the screen; his phone almost slipped from his hand.

Everyone stared wide-eyed at the absurd yet harmonious scene on the screen.

Tang Li stood three meters away from the tiger, while Wang Yuyu squatted in front of the freezer, his thick tiger paws patting the door repeatedly, his amber eyes staring straight at Tang Li, the words "Open it now!" practically overflowing from his gaze.

"My God, this tiger can not only hook its paws, but also order food?" someone in the security team muttered quietly, while the muzzle of the tranquilizer gun unconsciously lowered a little. No one could maintain 100% hostility towards a tiger that was "asking for the freezer to be opened."

Inside the kitchen, Tang Li glanced at the mess of meat scraps and cleanly gnawed bones on the counter and instantly understood its intention.

She pointed to the freezer, her voice softening further: "You want me to open this for you?"

Wang Yuyu nodded immediately, slapping even harder with his tiger claws, the "bang bang" sounds particularly clear in the quiet kitchen.

It wasn't that he lacked the strength to dismantle the freezer; in the mountains, he could even dig open a bear's den.

But not now. He's here for an "interview to get a permanent position." If he dismantles the cafeteria's equipment as soon as he enters the park, forget about getting a permanent position; he'll probably be knocked unconscious by a tranquilizer gun and sent back to the wilderness.

Tang Li took a deep breath and, under the horrified gazes of everyone on the surveillance screen, slowly walked towards Wang Yuyu.

The closer you get, the stronger the tiger's aura becomes.

It was a wild flavor, a mixture of decaying flesh from the mountains and the dampness of the frozen earth.

It also has the animalistic stench common to wild animals, strong, pungent, similar to a strong urine smell mixed with the smell of soil and decay.

But these flavors are the unique scents of apex predators.

She instinctively held her breath, not only because of the unpleasant smell, but also because she was intimidated by the primal pressure, and even her footsteps became very light.

Wang Yuyu's tail suddenly tightened, and the black hairs at the tip of the tail stood up.

He stared intently at Tang Li's every move, his heart pounding in his chest—not out of nervousness, but out of instinctive agitation.

In the wild, any living creature that comes near is either prey or enemy. This ingrained instinct cannot be completely suppressed, even though he possesses a human soul.

His claws unconsciously rubbed against the tiles, leaving a few shallow white marks. If Tang Li showed the slightest abnormality, his claws would strike faster than he could think.

Tang Li clearly understood his wariness.

She walked up to the freezer, and without any further movement, she pulled it open with a sudden burst of strength the moment she touched the handle. The whole process took no more than three seconds.

She didn't even dare to look at the tiger for long. After pulling the cabinet door shut, she quickly retreated and stood back at the safety line three meters away. A thin layer of sweat had already seeped out on her back.

Wang Yuyu instantly relaxed, and her tail resumed its leisurely swaying.

He immediately pounced on the freezer, his massive body completely blocking it, and his tiger head plunged directly into the cold compartment.

The fresh pork in the cupboard had just been delivered that morning, still with traces of fresh blood, but he only sniffed it with his nose before impatiently pulling the meat out with his paws.

Pieces of frozen pork thudded onto the ground, making Wang Weiguo, watching from the monitor, wince in distress: "This spendthrift! That was just bought!"

No one knew that Wang Yuyu's mind was entirely on those few bites of seafood on the table.

The chef took out the freshly delivered prawns and scallops from the kitchen that morning and put them in the sink. He picked them up and tasted them, and found that the delicious flavor was much better than eating raw meat.

He rummaged around for a full half minute before finally smelling the salty, fresh aroma of seafood at the very bottom of the freezer.

"Found it!" He was overjoyed and grabbed the plastic bag containing the seafood, dragging it out.

The bag was heavy, containing at least ten pounds of shrimp, but he carried it with ease, even raising his tail to avoid sweeping up the pork on the ground.

He dragged the bag to Tang Li, slammed it down, looked up at the sink in the corner of the kitchen, then turned back to stare at Tang Li. He blinked his amber eyes and pointed at the faucet with his tiger claw.

Tang Li looked at the bulging seafood bag on the ground, then followed the tiger's paw to the sink, and her brain momentarily went blank.

She tentatively asked, "You...do you want me to help you defrost the seafood?"

"Mmm!" Wang Yu nodded vigorously, his huge tiger head almost hitting Tang Li's knee. He even used his paws to push the bag towards Tang Li's feet, his movements urgent and ingratiating.

"Uh..." Tang Li's expression changed instantly, from initial wariness to helpless complaint.

She bent down to pick up the seafood bag, dragged it towards the sink, and muttered to herself, "What a picky eater!"

"Why eat seafood when there's so much fresh pork available?"

"And your fur is all matted together! I don't know how long it's been since you showered, it stinks!"
