"No...no one sent us," the tall, thin man's voice trembled. "We're just diving enthusiasts. When we saw the abalone here, they were so big and good, and...we got greedy."

He wanted to lie, but he didn't even believe his own lies.

Shen Fei didn't speak, he just looked at him quietly.

Kyle's tall figure stood to the side, and his silence made the atmosphere very oppressive.

The tall, thin man felt his heart pounding. The other person's eyes were calm, yet it seemed nothing could be hidden from him.

"Aurora abalone," Shen Fei finally spoke, uttering a name, "Each one has a different growing environment. You didn't use a professional temporary holding box, but a regular net bag, which means you're not here to sell for money, but to take samples."

Upon hearing these words, the tall, thin man's legs went weak, and he almost knelt on the ground.

The color drained from his face instantly.

They are corporate spies. Stealing things is a small matter, but stealing biological samples used for research, and then involving the companies behind them, makes things much bigger.

"I...I don't know what you're talking about..."

"You have one last chance." Shen Fei's tone remained unchanged, but the tall, thin man felt the air around him grow colder.

The tall, thin man's lips trembled. He glanced at his bald companion, who had fainted on the nearby reef. The way the other man's wrist was twisted sent a chill down his spine, and he forgot all about loyalty.

"It's...it's Poseidon Industries."

He blurted it out.

"They want to know why your aurora abalone is of such high quality. We were just hired to collect samples, please, we don't know anything else."

Poseidon Industries.

An unfamiliar name.

But Shen Fei could tell from the other person's eyes that this was a very troublesome matter, much more troublesome than the kind of trouble that Thompson, a thug, caused.

"Are there others among them?" Kyle asked in a low voice.

"There's...there's a ship waiting for us five nautical miles away," the tall, thin man confessed everything. "If we don't get back within half an hour, they'll..."

He didn't finish his sentence.

Because Shen Fei smiled.

The smile was faint, as if he had heard something interesting.

The tall, thin man felt a chill run down his spine when he saw that smile.

Shen Fei ignored him, took out his phone, and dialed two numbers.

The first call was to David Murray.

"David".

Shen Fei's voice was calm.

"Activate Neptune, Southern Reef Area. Your party can begin."

David on the other end of the phone didn't hesitate and replied with just two words: "Received."

The second call was to lawyer Steve Smith.

"Steve, two guests at my fish farm need legal assistance."

He paused, then added.

"It's the kind of crime involving industrial espionage. The helicopter flew right over."

"With pleasure." Steve's voice sounded excited.

After hanging up the phone, Shen Fei put it back in his pocket.

The tall, thin man was stunned, completely bewildered by Shen Fei's actions. Neptune? A party? Was this young fish farm owner trying to scare him?

However, less than ten minutes later, a deafening roar came from afar, shattering the tranquility of the sea.

The tall, thin man suddenly looked up and saw two black dots rapidly approaching from the direction of the mainland.

There was more than one helicopter; there were two.

One was the common black Bell 429 found at the Shenyang Aircraft Corporation's manor; the other was a larger gray Sikorsky S-92. Those were heavy-duty helicopters used for transporting personnel to offshore oil platforms.

Bell 429 first landed on a flat sandy area not far away.

The hatch opened, and David Murray, dressed in a suit, jumped out. Behind him were two men in black tactical vests with an Aegis logo printed on their arms. They were unarmed, carrying sealed instrument cases and tablets.

Heavy helicopters hovered over the sea, their rotors creating a large crater in the water.

David strode up to Shen Fei, bowed slightly, and reported in a low voice:

"Sir, S.H.I.E.L.D. Risk Team has arrived. The evidence-gathering drones have also taken off. We've jammed signals within a five-kilometer radius, so the support ship can't see or hear anything right now."

David paused, lowering his voice even further.

"Should we take care of the support ship? Team 2 is on standby and can handle it within five minutes, without leaving a trace."

Shen Fei glanced at him and said indifferently:

"Follow the procedure. I want them alive, not scrap metal."

"Understood." David immediately bowed.

At that moment, another person got off Bell 429.

It was lawyer Steve Smith, carrying a thick briefcase, with a professional smile on his face. He walked up to the slumped, thin man and handed him a business card.

"Hello, sir. I am Mr. Shen Fei's legal counsel."

Steve crouched down, his voice gentle.

"If you keep your mouth shut, the charges of trespassing, theft, commercial espionage, and assaulting a police officer add up to at least fifteen years in prison."

He paused, looked into the other person's pupils, which were dilated with fear, and continued:

"Or, you could become a witness for the prosecution and testify against Poseidon Industries. My clients are always very generous to their obedient friends."

Steve smiled, took another document from his briefcase, and pushed it in front of him.

"This is your new identity and an overseas trust fund. Cooperate, and you'll be set for life. Don't cooperate, and you'll spend twenty years in jail. Think it over."

The tall, thin man was completely at a loss.

Two members of the SHIELD Risk Team stepped forward. One of them skillfully examined the bald, muscular man's injuries, immobilized them with professional medical tools, and then used specially made restraints to control both of them. Their actions were efficient and swift, without uttering a single unnecessary word.

When the police arrived half an hour later, they found only two thieves who had surrendered, a calm manor security supervisor, and a eloquent lawyer. The whole incident was classified as a simple theft with solid evidence.

That evening, in the manor's study.

Shen Fei, Su Man, Kyle, and David were all gathered in the study.

"Sir," David activated the holographic projector, displaying information about Poseidon Industries on the screen, "as per your instructions, after joining the company, I established Shield Risk. It's an independently registered risk management company specializing in handling covert threats."

He pointed to the data on the screen.

"Today's operation was our first real-world test, and it went well. Through our partner, we obtained some preliminary intelligence on Poseidon Industries. They are a North American biotechnology company with military backing, and they operate in a domineering manner. They sent people here to analyze the genes of our Aurora Abalone and its aquatic growth environment."

Shen Fei held his black tea and listened quietly.

This is the effect he wants. He can't do everything himself; he needs a team that can use business and legal means to solve problems for him.

David's arrival filled this crucial gap.

"They thought I was on the first floor, but I'm actually on the fifth floor," Shen Fei said calmly, looking out at the night sky.

He turned around and glanced at the people present.

"The firewall project is not just about studying me."

"It's also a signal, telling outsiders that I have gathered the best talent and technology here. If they want to take something from me, they'd better think twice about whether they're qualified."

His voice wasn't loud, but everyone present could feel his determination.

"David, defense alone is not enough."

Shen Fei sneered.

"I'm going to attack again. I'll sharpen the spear of Aegis even further, so that next time, I'll leave their outstretched claws, along with their entire bodies, here."
