The Walking Dead: Starting as a Cowboy
Chapter 212 The Passage
Chapter 212 The Passage
The power of several zombies was terrifying. Caesar couldn't hold them off for long before Morales and T-boy came up from behind.
Unfortunately, there were indeed many zombies, and even with the strength of three people, they were still being pushed back.
A pulling force came from Caesar's left arm, which he was holding in front of him. He looked up and saw several zombies burying their heads in their arm armor.
Even with their teeth, they couldn't possibly break the arm armor even if they bit it to pieces.
Caesar raised his right hand and chopped off the heads of several zombies with his axe.
But as soon as he raised his arm, the zombie on the right reached out and grabbed the axe. Even though their wrists didn't have enough strength to grip things, they could still restrain the axe.
In a fit of rage, Caesar loosened his grip on the axe, clenched his fist, and slammed it down with a powerful punch.
Armor was also on the back of his hand, and his thick, hard fist struck the zombie's head heavily.
That fragile head instantly split open.
His head tilted to the side, and now he's dead.
Caesar did not stop, launching a series of powerful punches, almost every one delivered through gritted teeth and burning with rage.
Some of the zombies' heads were so fragile that a single punch left an imprint of a fist on their heads.
Some of the zombies accidentally raised their arms, and their arms were hit head-on, making a sickening cracking sound.
After defeating several zombies, the space in front of Caesar instantly became a vacuum, and the zombies behind him immediately pounced on him.
Caesar quickly picked up the axe from the ground, shouted, and turned to run.
"run!"
Although it was Caesar who shouted, Morales and T-boy ran ahead of him.
With Caesar's physical prowess, he quickly overtook the two men and left them behind.
T-boy's face, which was as black as soot, turned even blacker. "Boss, you're not loyal to me."
Caesar didn't even turn his head.
"In the face of life and death, there is no such thing as loyalty. You'd better run faster."
"Damn it!" T spat out, then mustered all his strength and was about to speed up forward.
But he discovered that Morales, who should have been level with him, had somehow moved ahead.
"Morales, you traitor!" T-boy cursed out angrily.
The clever Morales knew he shouldn't argue with a fool, and besides, if he said too much and lost his breath, he'd end up falling into a horde of zombies.
T glanced behind him; the zombies were moving slowly and had already left him some distance behind.
Caesar slowed his pace. "Alright, alright, we're here. Stop running."
Caesar stopped in front of a house after he had been running.
That room was where they rested.
Knock, knock, knock. "Who is it?"
It's Rick's voice.
Caesar announced loudly, "It is I."
Squeak—
The door opened, revealing Rick's slightly pleased face. He opened his arms, wanting to hug Caesar.
Caesar gave him a light hug, and then heard him ask, "What danger have you encountered?"
"I almost thought you wouldn't come back, but I didn't hear you calling for help, so I didn't go over."
Rick spoke with a clear hint of self-reproach.
He felt he should go directly to Caesar and his men instead of waiting for them to escape.
Caesar shook his head. "You did the right thing. I know our capabilities. If we can escape, there's no need to involve more people and cause more problems."
"Besides, the walkers are following us, so we need to get ready quickly."
"Okay." Upon hearing this, Rick's expression turned serious.
The door closed again.
Before long, the zombies began to appear outside the door one after another. They seemed certain that there was food inside and kept knocking on the door.
It looks just like a dog whining for dog food.
The walker's claws weren't particularly sharp, but they were more than enough to smash through a wooden door.
The wooden door quickly shattered under the attack of sharp teeth.
Caesar, Morales, T-boy, Rick, and others stood behind the door, weapons in hand, ready to be unleashed.
The zombies stepped forward, but as soon as they entered the house, they fell down.
With a thud, the zombie fell to the level below.
The height wasn't high, but it was enough to injure a zombie's leg, even rendering it unable to walk.
Inside the door, there was a square hole. It was unclear what had made it, but a person could jump through it easily. However, it was an impossible trap for the zombies.
Caesar smiled and bumped fists with Rick beside him.
Walking corpses are creatures that never stop moving forward; they don't know the word "backward," they only move forward.
So they fell down to the next layer one after another.
The dull, resounding impacts quickly dissipated the joy that had just begun to rise among Caesar and the others.
"Let's go, I can't wait any longer."
Caesar made a decision without hesitation.
No one objected to Caesar's decision, except Rick, who asked, "Which way do we go?"
"The rooftop? Or on the street?"
This time, Caesar hesitated.
Every time Caesar thought about walking on the top floor, alarm bells would go off in his mind, and every cell in his body would scream that it was a bad idea.
The desire to avoid this bad idea has reached its maximum limit.
So Caesar made a decision.
"From the street to the city center."
Rick disagreed with Caesar's decision, but he knew it.
Before a decision is made, you can express any of your opinions, which is beneficial to making the decision.
But once the decision is made, if you then make related comments, you are undoubtedly questioning the leader's decision and challenging the leader's authority.
This has nothing to do with right or wrong.
Caesar walked into the house without looking back.
There is more than one way down the building; if they want to get down, they have to go around to a staircase with fewer zombies.
At the very least, it can't be the staircase that these zombies are squeezing up from.
Perhaps because we were far from the banks, the surroundings became quiet again.
Caesar and his men, armed, cautiously probed forward.
Fortunately, no zombies were found during this detour; only some shriveled corpses were discovered.
The appearance of these corpses was so different that it was impossible to tell whether they were zombies or human corpses.
Caesar strode forward, stepping over several zombies.
The rest of the group followed one by one. Only Rick stared silently at the corpse on the ground for two seconds, then a cold glint flashed in his eyes before he caught up with the group.
Pity for human corpses is enough.
Caesar strode ahead, then stopped, nudging the axe forward. "It's just ahead."
After saying this, Caesar strode out.
Several zombies finally appeared in front of them, and their eyes turned red as soon as they saw the humans.
Before Caesar could make a move, Morales, T-boy, and Rick were the first to rush forward.
The other warriors passed by Caesar and went to find the walkers one by one.
In no time at all, the zombies had all fallen.
