Chapter 69 Lost in the Dark Dimension, Ancient 1

Lin Yi's heart sank as he silently estimated the flight speed and time of the large number of abnormal individuals.

With his mind racing, Lin Yi quickly cleared out the few remaining anomalies nearby. Then, focusing his attention, he used the magic he had learned in the Lost Library to pinpoint the location coordinates of the Ancient One's mirror space.

Fortunately, although the portal is still unusable, it is possible to enter the mirror space.

Lin Yi didn't know what kind of magic circle the Ancient One had set up on the satellite. Since there was still plenty of time, it was safer to ask directly than to try searching through his memories.

With a wave of his hand, Lin Yi's figure disappeared into space, creating golden particles.

……

In the mirrored space, everything is chaotic and bizarre, with gravity and objects constantly shifting according to the caster's will. Upside-down buildings and twisted roads, along with reversed gravity, are everywhere, pulling at everything within the space.

The two Ancient Ones hung in mid-air, facing each other, their battle lasting an unknown duration. Their magical techniques were identical, yet both appeared to be exhausted.

"You are me too, why are you stopping me?" The long-haired Gu Yi was panting heavily, his facial muscles twitching uncontrollably, and his breath was weak.

"We are not the same, don't confuse the two." Bald Gu Yi said calmly, with one hand behind his back and the other hand maintaining a constantly rotating magic circle.

Suddenly, the bald Ancient One's expression shifted slightly, glancing at something out of the corner of his eye before quickly returning to normal.

The long-haired Ancient One didn't notice this detail and kept blasting magic missiles at the bald Ancient One: "What's the difference? You're all just pathetic creatures who survive by drawing energy from the Dark Dimension. Don't you get tired of protecting Earth after all these years?"

From the initial large-scale, dazzling yet extremely deadly large-scale magic to the current simple and unadorned small magic bullets, it is clear that both Ancient Ones are nearing their limit, unless they borrow power from the Dark Dimension once again.

However, here's the problem: the bald Ancient One used some kind of magic to prevent the long-haired Ancient One from drawing upon the power of the Dark Dimension.

"Protecting the Time Stone is the duty of every Sorcerer Supreme, and so is protecting this planet." The bald Ancient One swung the Shield of Seraphim, precisely blocking the continuous barrage of magical projectiles. "This is true in every universe."

The long-haired Ancient One revealed a mocking expression, her face twitching unnaturally: "That's easy for you to say, but where's your Time Stone?"

"Besides, have you forgotten that this isn't our universe?"

"As long as it's Earth, there's no difference," the bald Ancient One retorted. "No need to say more, you're not going to listen to me anymore."

"You've reached your limit, aren't you going to give up?" Bald Ancient One continued, "The number of aberrant beings outside is decreasing, the satellite has been launched, and the virus isolation device has been deployed."

"Trying to fool me?" The long-haired Ancient One sneered, not believing him.

Having destroyed all the isolation devices and satellites, the aberrant couldn't possibly have missed this opportunity. If she says that, she's probably reached her limit.

The bald Ancient One shook his head and chuckled, "When have I ever lied? If you don't believe me, let me remove the mirror space and see for myself, shall we?"

"Hehe." The long-haired Ancient One was now even more certain that she was lying.

Although this mirror space was opened by the bald man, it cannot be opened or closed at will. As a fellow Ancient One, she knows where the key nodes of the architecture are. If she does not agree to close it, then it cannot be closed!

"Don't even think about it. I'll hold out until the aberrant beings completely destroy Earth."

"Why bother?" The bald Ancient One's tone was complicated. "After Earth is destroyed, we will have to search for a new universe. Do you know how difficult it is to find a universe that is heading towards extinction but can remain stable for a short period of time?"

"As you know, we can't go to those normal, healthy universes."

The long-haired Gu Yi laughed: "That's you! I've found you. Remember Strange from a month ago?"

"Let me give you a heads-up: the teleportation compass!"

Bald Guy narrowed his eyes slightly, a bad premonition rising within him.

"You're right. As long as that compass is in their universe, I can control it across the cosmos and forcibly teleport myself there!"

"The will of the universe cannot stop me from using this method! Although that universe is also heading towards destruction, it is at least more stable than the current universe!"

"A compass? Is that what you mean?"

An abrupt sound suddenly broke in; a young male voice rang out from behind the long-haired Ancient One.

The long-haired Gu Yi was startled and quickly turned around.

Lin Yi emerged from the distorted spatial background, tossing a compass in his hand. He had heard every single word of the conversation.

It's hilarious! This long-haired Ancient One was clearly going to use the compass to cause trouble in her own universe, but how did she end up here by sheer coincidence?

Sigh, Lin Yi shook his head, wanting to laugh. He also thought he should give the careless Strange a good beating when he got back.

"Impossible! Why are you here? Where is Strange?" The long-haired Ancient One's pupils contracted. The moment he saw the compass, a sense of panic rose in his heart, as if things were out of control.

"Looks like I can't just accept things from other people anymore," Lin Yi muttered, throwing the compass on the ground and stomping it to pieces.

But in his heart, he wondered if the icosahedron the quantum man had given him might also be problematic. Regardless, he needed to be more cautious in the future.

"Why I'm here is none of your business!" Lin Yi rolled her eyes, too lazy to pay attention to her.

Turning to the bald Ancient One, he said, "Sorcerer, Tony said you set up a defensive magic circle on the satellite before. Which one was it? Now that the satellite has launched, it's needed, so I came."

Bald Guy nodded, a smile spreading across his face. "I understand. I'll set up the magic circle. But we need to get out of here first."

As he spoke, the bald Ancient One looked at the long-haired Ancient One: "Do you believe me now? The Aberrants are being eliminated, and the isolation devices are back in effect. Your plan has failed."

"Impossible, absolutely impossible, you're lying to me!" A sharp voice rang out as the long-haired Ancient One tore at her hair like a madwoman.

Lin Yi frowned, "What's wrong with her? Has she gone mad?"

He looks completely out of sorts. Could it be something he did with the compass? Is the Sorcerer Supreme really that fragile?

The bald Ancient One sighed and explained, "He really is almost going crazy."

"We could have held on for a while longer, but you..." Bald Ancient One pointed to the broken compass on the ground.

"I'm not taking the blame for this. Are your Supreme Masters so fragile-minded?" Lin Yi quickly shook his head.

The bald Ancient One chuckled, pointed to the long-haired Ancient One whose black aura was growing thicker, whose cheeks were twitching faster and faster, and who was muttering incessantly: "That's not it."

"She's already lost in the dark dimension; it's only a matter of time before she goes mad. Look at her current state; the backlash has already begun."
