Chapter 10 The Figure Blocking the Path to the Quantum Realm

The scene upon entering the quantum realm is like a miniature version of the entire universe. Beneath the ever-changing, dazzling spectacle lies a deadly danger.

The three traversed the quantum realm, with the time navigation device guiding them towards the correct tunnel.

Lin Yi was in a good mood at the moment, as everything had gone smoothly so far.

The feeling of being personally involved in the story is indescribable.

Natasha and Clint were equally excited; the mission had been narrowly successful, and they hadn't had to sacrifice anyone.

In just a few seconds, the three of them will be able to return to a point in the future and resolve the regret that has haunted them for five years.

However, the next second, the three of them stopped at the intersection of two roads.

It wasn't because the navigation device malfunctioned, but because a blurry figure was blocking the intersection.

The instant the figure appeared, a golden ring suddenly appeared beneath Lin Yi's feet and vanished in a flash, followed by a faint hissing sound.

Lin Yi stared dumbfounded at the burnt-out time navigation device in his hand, almost unable to react.

The alarm blared, and he immediately stepped in front of the two, looking intently at the blurry figure.

The hood covering her entire body obscured her face with distorted waves; only her slightly curly brown hair and figure, visible through the hood, allowed one to barely discern that she was a woman.

She stood there without moving, but Lin Yi could feel her gaze fixed on him.

"Let's go!" Lin Yi made a quick decision, taking off the glove containing the five Infinity Stones and throwing it to Clint, while putting the Soul Stone into Natasha's hand.

"What are you going to do?" Natasha asked anxiously. Although they had only known each other for a short time and hadn't even exchanged many words, Natasha could tell from Lin Yi's actions that he was genuinely trying to help them.

"Don't worry about me. Her target shouldn't be the gems. You guys go first and make sure the plan goes smoothly, quick!" Lin Yi's tone was calm. The feeling of being locked on remained on Lin Yi, without even glancing at the Infinity Stones or Natasha and the others.

Her target is Lin Yi.

Natasha tightened her grip on the gem in her hand, wanting to say something more, but Clint grabbed her arm and shook his head at her.

The sharp edges stung Natasha's palms. She understood Clint's meaning: their fighting strength was insufficient to help Lin Yi here, so bringing back the gems was the best plan.

As for using the Infinity Stones in combat here… nobody even considered it. The rules of the Quantum Realm are different from those of outer space. The powers of the Infinity Stones only apply to the space they reside in; within the Quantum Realm, the Infinity Stones are practically useless.

Lin Yi has just confirmed this.

Without further delay, the two restarted their navigation devices, transformed into two streaks of light, and sped away along the predetermined tunnel.

The figure did not stop him, which relieved Lin Yi, but made him even more serious.

The guess was correct; she didn't care about the Infinity Stones or Natasha and the others; her goal was herself.

"Who are you? Why did you destroy my navigation device? Do you need something?" Lin Yi was on high alert, trying to communicate.

His superhuman vision couldn't see through the blurry, distorted image to the true face, but he unexpectedly sensed a familiar yet strange aura emanating from the figure.

If possible, he would not like to fight in the tunnels of the quantum realm. It was too restrictive for him, and once the battle began, he didn't know what changes would occur in the quantum realm.

The figure did not answer Lin Yi, but instead extended its right hand.

On the slender back of her hand, there was a faint red star-shaped mark, like a birthmark, which was not very clear and disappeared in a flash.

"...Is it trying to greet me?"

Lin Yi didn't know what she meant.

With a flick of his wrist, an object gleaming with metallic light appeared. He then tossed it toward Lin Yi.

It is a regular icosahedron made of metal, about half the size of a palm.

Lin Yi looked at the icosahedron floating in front of him and did not sense any danger, but he did not reach out to touch it.

He paused for a moment. "For me?"

This time, the figure didn't ignore Lin Yi as before, but instead nodded.

As if having completed its mission, the figure nodded and quickly disappeared, giving Lin Yi no time to react.

All that was left was Lin Yi, who was completely bewildered from beginning to end, questioning the meaning of life.

Who is this figure? Long, slightly wavy brown hair, and that familiar aura.

Why did she destroy her own time navigation device? And what is this thing she gave herself?

Lin Yi was frustrated because he had a lot of unanswered questions.

He wasn't too worried about being trapped in the quantum realm without a time navigation device.

Once Natasha and Clint get out, Tony will find a way to come and find her, though it may take some time.

He wasn't planning on wandering off on his own. There were more forks in the road after this one, and if he went the wrong way, he might be lucky enough to end up in a civilized society.

It would be hilarious if you accidentally walked into the wrong place and ended up in prehistoric times.

Wait a minute, something's not right!

If they remain stuck here, who will remind Tony and the others to be aware of the nebula?

Lin Yi's heart suddenly raced.

I can't remember why I didn't remind Natasha and the others to be careful of the Nebula!

Hey!

Lin Yi wanted to curse. Damn it, if she hadn't reminded Nebula of the anomaly and let her release Thanos, Tony could have just snapped his fingers and killed him according to the original plot!

Hopefully, Tony will come looking for him before they snap their fingers...

If it's later...

Lin Yi couldn't think of anything that could save Tony. The damage caused to the human body by snapping the fingers with the six Infinity Stones was irreversible. At least for now, Lin Yi had no way to reverse the damage caused by Tony snapping the fingers.

"Truly... life is unpredictable..." Lin Yi sighed helplessly, and after confirming once again that the icosahedron was safe, he reached out to put it away.

He didn't know what the figure had given him, or why, but his sixth sense told him that it was quite important.

As one's abilities increase, this mysterious sixth sense will accurately guide one's choices, which are usually beneficial to oneself.

Just like the day Tony's lakeside cabin was attacked by missiles, Lin Yi originally wanted to go to the snow mountain to test the strength of his current abilities. But his sixth sense made him stay in the cabin.

The icosahedron felt cool to the touch; it was definitely metal, but it was very heavy.
