Dark Wizard: Rise! My undead army!
Chapter 359 The Terrifying Holy Light Angel
Lynn closed his eyes, his mental energy spreading in all directions, probing deep into the wasteland.
This is the outer edge of the Holy Light plane, an asteroid that has been eroded by the energy of the Holy Light for countless years.
The air was filled with a thin layer of holy light energy, not as dense as in the Holy Light Plane, but enough to make the undead feel uncomfortable.
Undead creatures have greatly reduced combat power in this world.
When Lynn's mental energy touched those energies, he felt a slight burning sensation, like putting his hand into slightly scalding hot water.
He initiated analysis, observing the world.
With one hundred workstations operating simultaneously, data poured down like a waterfall in the sea of consciousness.
The rules here are far more complex than in the Plague World. The rules of Holy Light dominate, and apart from Holy Light and its related rules, other rules are suppressed to the point of being almost imperceptible.
Rules like darkness, death, the undead, and annihilation have no place here.
This is why the undead are much weaker here—it's not that the undead have become weaker, but that the rules are rejecting them.
Other rules, such as those governing space, were also corrupted by the Holy Light and became unstable.
But this does not diminish the power of the dimension at all!
A typical small world is formed by the operation of countless rules, which together constitute a complete rule system and then continue to grow.
The Holy Light Plane is the opposite; it is dominated by the Holy Light Rules, which then suppress all other rules and continue to grow stronger.
This single attribute is extremely pure, and it seems somewhat ineffective against races with high resistance to holy light.
But facing a dark wizard, especially one who cultivates death and necromancy, is incredibly satisfying.
Lynn opened his eyes, his gaze sweeping across the wasteland and landing on the golden pillar of light.
That is the passage connecting Heaven Mountain and the Holy Light Plane, and it is also the core objective of this battlefield.
After fighting for so many years, all for the sake of breaking through this passage, climbing that Heavenly Mountain, and completely conquering the Holy Light Plane.
The beam of light was very thick, at least a thousand meters in diameter, rising from the ground, piercing the sky, and disappearing into the depths of the clouds.
There are flowing golden patterns on the surface, like blood vessels, tree roots, or countless snakes coiling around it.
The edges of the beam of light pulsated like flames, but they were cold, not hot.
Lynn stared at the golden light and subconsciously activated his analysis.
He saw the panel.
[Target: Heaven Mountain - Holy Light Dimension Passage]
[Type: Dimensional Connection Channel / Holy Light Energy Transmission Hub]
[Composition: Based on the Holy Light of the Heavenly Mountain, supported by the power of faith in the Holy Light Plane, and anchored by the will of the Angelic Legion]
[Current Status: Stable operation, energy transmission efficiency 87%, channel width 1.2 km, can pass through units of Saint-level or higher]
[Defense Mechanism: The passage itself is formed from Holy Light, dealing continuous burning damage to non-Holy Light units, with an intensity roughly equivalent to a third-circle spell.]
[Guardians: The Third Legion of Heavenly Mountain, commanded by the six-winged angel Uriel (Seraphim rank)]
[Note: The passage can be destroyed, but it requires at least five Saint-level wizards to act simultaneously, or a large number of annihilation runes to be buried inside the passage.]
...
Lynn's gaze continued upwards, past the surface of the pillar of light, to the top of it.
There seemed to be a person standing there.
No, not human, but angel!
It has six wings on its back, three pairs, each over ten meters long, all white, with golden light flowing along the edges of its feathers.
The wings didn't flap; they were just spread out like a wall, blocking out the sky behind them.
His body was very tall, at least three meters, and he wore a white robe with gold patterns that ran from the collar to the hem.
His face was not visible, not because it was blocked by something, but because Lynn's eyes were not clear.
There was a layer of light on his face, very bright and dazzling, like the midday sun; staring at it for too long would hurt your eyes.
His hair was golden, reaching down to his waist, with sparkles of light dancing at the ends.
He held a sword in his hand, the blade was very long, at least two meters long, and flames were burning on the blade.
The white flames looked like sunlight condensed into swords.
Lynn stared at Him, his eyes beginning to ache.
It wasn't the soreness you get from looking at something for too long; it was a stinging pain that came from deep within your eyes, like someone was pricking your pupils with a needle.
His eyelids started twitching wildly, his temples started twitching, and his whole head was throbbing.
His body began to sweat; his palms, back, and forehead were all covered in cold sweat.
His heart was racing, his breathing was rapid, and his muscles were tense.
I can't watch anymore!!
His instincts were screaming, howling, warning him: Don't look, run, you'll die.
Lynn lowered his head and looked away.
This feeling was terrifying; he had rarely experienced this primal fear since becoming a full-fledged wizard.
Lynn took a deep breath, then another, and then another.
My heartbeat gradually calmed down, my breathing became smoother, and my muscles gradually relaxed.
He didn't move, his head down, looking at the gravel and sand beneath his feet, at the gray-black stones, at the marks left by the undead.
What did he just do?
He actually dared to attempt to analyze an existence at the level of an Archangel!
That was an existence on par with a True Spirit Wizard, someone who could obliterate him with a single glance.
He actually dared to stare at Him, and even attempted to touch Him with his spiritual power.
Lynn closed her eyes and cursed herself in her heart.
idiot.
What an idiot.
Before coming here, I thought I shouldn't do anything reckless, but as soon as I got to the battlefield, I started doing things recklessly.
Fortunately, the archangel didn't notice him, or rather... he did notice him but ignored him.
However, beings of that level are likely under the surveillance of their own superiors.
The academy's True Spirit Wizards and the Archangels of the Holy Light Plane restrain and deter each other, neither daring to make a move easily.
If he had truly angered that archangel, even with two substitute souls, he probably wouldn't have been able to withstand a single glance from him.
Even three lives combined wouldn't be enough to kill someone with a single glance.
Holy light has a natural advantage over the undead, and with the Archangel's powerful strength, even if there were ten substitute souls, let alone two, they would all be reduced to ashes.
Lynn opened his eyes, stood up, and turned his back to the golden pillar of light.
He stopped watching.
Not only did they not look, they even withdrew their senses and dared not probe that direction with their mental energy.
In the future, try to stay away from that place as much as possible, and don't try to stand out and earn contribution points. Otherwise, if something unexpected happens, you'll have no tears to shed.
I'm just a lowly third-ring wizard; compared to that level, I'm nothing more than a slightly larger ant.
Keep training hard, and one day we'll be able to compete with beings of that level!
That day is not far off...
