Cultivators at the Wizarding Academy

Chapter 22 General Knowledge Lesson

Chapter 22 General Knowledge Lesson

At the end of the corridor, in the classroom for first-year students.

Bright magical lights illuminated the darkness, revealing pristine white walls, brand-new desks, chairs, and blackboards.

A ticking magic clock hangs on the back wall, making it convenient for teachers and students to check the time at any time.

On the side wall was a surveillance painting depicting the headmaster, Dursley, leisurely drinking tea.

Tai'an prefers to sit in the back row by the window, where the air is fresher and no one will bother him if he does something silly.

As if they had planned it beforehand, the four little girls sat in a row behind the young wizard.

The silver-haired loli smiled maliciously, feeling that she had gained a geographical advantage and that any opportunity for revenge would arise in the future…

If you're in a bad mood, you can kick the bench of the naughty kid in front of you.

Tai'an scratched his ear nonchalantly. A few little girls? A dignified cultivator like himself wouldn't bother with them. If they dared to provoke him, he had plenty of ways to deal with them. For now, he treated them as if they didn't exist.

Alice's voice could be heard greeting someone in the hallway.

"Professor Alice, how is the quality of this year's students?"

"Not bad, there are a few promising talents worth watching and nurturing. The rest are up to you..."

A stunningly beautiful woman with an alluring and captivating aura, long, turquoise hair that reached past her shoulders, and wearing a gorgeous white court dress with elaborate patterns, strode into the classroom. Her unparalleled beauty overshadowed all the other girls, even eclipsing the Snow Maiden, who was renowned for her beauty. A pair of spatial pendants dangled from her pointed earlobes. Apart from her slightly thin figure, her face was flawless.

"First of all, I would like to thank the Violet Royal Family for the additional funding and sponsorship, which allowed the Sorting Hall classrooms to undergo a large-scale renovation. Hello students, I am Assistant Instructor Youmu, welcome to the Hegel Wizarding Sorting Hall."

The male students in the audience applauded enthusiastically.

"There's more good news: all the books needed for this year's courses will be distributed free of charge by the branch. Please don't spread this around and cause resentment among students in other branches. Thank you to the Kingdom of Ilanti for their generous sponsorship."

Another round of enthusiastic applause erupted from the audience.

While his male classmates were completely infatuated with him, Tai'an's indifferent attitude was particularly jarring, showing a complete lack of interest in his good looks.

The girls sitting in the back seat had all sorts of unbelievable thoughts running through their minds.

Could it be that Tai'an isn't interested in girls?

Even the unparalleled beauty taught by Youmu couldn't move his heart?

Could it be that he hasn't developed yet...?

"The first class every week is a general knowledge class. Some people may think it's nonsense and a waste of time, but I still have to go through it from beginning to end."

The first question is, what do you think is the difference between a wizard and a sorcerer?

Eager to show off, the male students raised their hands one after another.

Youmu chose the black-haired boy with glasses, Schneider, who was in the front row.

"Wizards primarily fight using negative energy, while mages utilize various elements."

"Excellent answer! Almost a perfect answer." Youmu gestured for Schneider to sit down. "There's one thing I want to add. No one says wizards can't use elemental magic. Being good at negative energy is a stereotype about wizards. I think the biggest difference between wizards and mages is that wizards focus more on constantly developing and strengthening themselves, while mages are more inclined to influence the forces of nature with their own spiritual power."

Which path is the right one? There's still no definitive answer.

Youmu recited her prepared lesson plan. The boys in the front row listened attentively, while the boys in the back row were daydreaming.

The incredibly cute young wizard rested one hand on his chubby cheeks, gazing blankly out the window.

"The boy in the back row by the window, stand up and answer my question!"

"Are you calling me?" Tai'an snapped out of his daze and stood up under everyone's gaze.

"Yes, boys shouldn't take advantage of their cuteness to do whatever they want."

A burst of laughter erupted from the classroom.

The silver-haired loli started making a fuss behind her, banging on the table frantically.

Calling a boy "cute" is the greatest insult! It's more hurtful than descriptions like "ugly boy."

The young wizard frowned slightly: "Go ahead and ask..."

"Please tell me about the class system." Youmu rested her hands on the podium, the neckline of her dress was very low.

Any man would be moved, but unfortunately, the person opposite him was a boy.

"They are Apprentice Rank, Formal Rank, Elite Rank, Super Rank, Saint Rank..." Tai'an answered clearly and fluently.

"Not bad!" A strange light flashed in Youmu's eyes as she carefully examined the boy who answered the question, inexplicably finding his appearance to be in line with her aesthetic sense: "Next question, how does a spellcaster become a formal class?"

"The Spellcaster's Association usually judges based on three aspects: first, proficiency in using mental perception; second, mastery of the Mage's Hand to complete some auxiliary operations; and third, mental shield." The boy's expression was meticulous, completely revealing his previous absent-minded and carefree attitude.

"The answer is perfect." Youmu gestured for Taian to sit down. "For the next six years, one of the conditions for you to graduate from your branch is to become a spellcaster of a formal class. I imagine this is an easy thing for most of you. The probability of graduating from our Wizarding branch and becoming a formal class is greater than 70%, far exceeding that of other branches."

Only by becoming a formal member of the caster class can one cross the threshold into the realm of spellcasters and enjoy the various rights and benefits associated with them.

"The third question: between spellcasters and warriors, who has the advantage?"

Youmu looked around the classroom and, seeing that no one had raised their hand, looked at the silver-haired girl in the back row.

"That's right, it's you, the silver-haired half-elf!"

Silvermoon stood up, supporting herself on the table, her small face showing displeasure: "I am human, don't talk nonsense."

"I don't mean to exclude you; I'm of mixed race myself." Youmu smiled slightly, subtly exuding charm.

All the boys present, except for Tai'an, had their pupils lose focus.

If they were knowledgeable enough, they would surely have heard of the legend of the Enchantress.

A rare being born among forest fairies, possessing the innate ability to charm humanoid creatures. Only the strong with unwavering will can remain unaffected.

Oh no! Should I put on an act?

The young wizard belatedly realized that his behavior was inappropriate.

"I believe that when well-prepared, the spellcaster has an absolute advantage, while being caught off guard and ambushed puts them at a disadvantage." Silvermoon's sharp voice brought everyone back to their senses.

"Very good, that's a very insightful answer." Youmu nodded slightly, gesturing for Gingetsu to sit down.

"I can tell you with certainty that during the apprentice stage, including the formal stage, even if a spellcaster is fully prepared, their chances of winning against a combatant are still less than 30%. Once they are ambushed at close range, it is almost impossible to escape unscathed unless they have special artifacts and equipment. Later, in the elite stage, a well-prepared spellcaster has a chance to go toe-to-toe with a combatant, but they are still slightly at a disadvantage..."

A moment of silence fell over the classroom, and the young wizards looked bewildered.
