American comic book: I, with my abundant martial virtue, love to do good to others.

Chapter 30's ending: The ultimate goal was actually myself?

Adam Morris's favorability rating: -9

Lynn Hall's eyes lit up when he saw the system's prompt.

This is the first time I've encountered someone whose favorability rating towards me is -9.

The reward you receive after killing him will surely be very satisfying!

"Jean Grey, it's up to you X-Men now!"

He looked at Adam Morris, whose eyes were filled with hatred for him.

Lynn Hall then said to Jean Grey, "I want her alive!"

"No problem, Mr. Hall!"

Upon hearing Lynn's request, Jean Grey launched the first attack on Adam Morris.

The battles between mutants are incredibly cool.

Adam Morris tried to teleport away several times, but was restrained by Phoenix's abilities.

Cyclops, standing nearby, unleashed an energy attack on Adam Morris, while Storm flew through the air, with lightning constantly descending from the dark clouds.

"It's no wonder that ordinary people are filled with fear of mutants. To be honest, Lynn, even though I know that the X-Men are the kind of people who are willing to coexist peacefully with ordinary people."

"But watching this kind of battle with extraordinary abilities still makes my heart race!"

As a bolt of lightning struck, Adam Morris used his teleportation ability to dodge the attack, but the century-old tree beside him was directly shattered by the lightning.

Coulson then spoke to Lynn Hall.

"Just a level two mutant. If Mr. Hall hadn't insisted on capturing him alive, Adam Morris would probably be dead already!"

Hearing Coulson's words, Barbara, who had been standing beside Lynn, said to Coulson, "Besides, don't be fooled by the strength of mutants; compared to ordinary people, we are the ones who are discriminated against!"

Hearing Barbara's rebuttal, Coulson smiled, while Lynn Hall turned his gaze away from the battlefield.

He then said to Coulson, "You can stay terrified, I'm going to see those vampires!"

"Offering bounties for terrorist attacks on my turf—just Adam Morris isn't enough!"

With that, Lynn Hall led Sean and the others toward the manor.

Passing through the broken wall, I entered the study, where the once dark room was now filled with sunlight.

A giant bat still had nowhere to hide and could only hang on the dark corner of the wall above to avoid the intense sunlight all around!

"Is this the legendary vampire?"

Looking at the giant bat trembling in the corner, Sean gripped his submachine gun, a hint of disappointment flashing in his eyes.

"What are you thinking? You think all vampires are like those in the movies, all beautiful and with great figures?"

Alice tapped Sean on the head, then turned to Lynn and asked, "Boss, what do we do with this guy?"

"Open-air barbecue!"

As he spoke, Lynn Hall pulled a pistol from his waist and fired at the bat without hesitation.

The bullet disintegrated in mid-air, turning into a giant net that tightly bound the bat!

Bats caught in the giant net fell to the ground, emitting puffs of smoke as they were exposed to the sunlight.

Just as Lynn was about to drag it out to be exposed to the sun, the bat opened its mouth and made a human sound.

"Wait...please wait a moment, Mr. Lynn Hall, I have something to say!"

Hearing the giant, smoking bat speak, Lynn Hall smiled and stepped forward: "I don't think I have anything to do with you vampires..."

Before Lynn Hall could finish speaking, there was a rapid knocking on the study door.

"Mr. Lynn Hall, there's a phone call that requires your personal attention!"

Hearing the sounds coming from outside the study, Lynn Hall felt something was amiss.

These European vampires not only recognized him, but they also thought that he would let them go as long as he answered the phone.

What gives them such confidence and makes them have this understanding?

unless..

Looking at the giant bats emitting white smoke and screaming in pain inside the giant net, Lynn Hall tore down a black curtain and covered himself with it.

After replacing the bullets in his gun with specially made pure silver bullets, Lynn Hall went to the study door and opened it.

As the door opened, a beam of sunlight shone through the doorway into the hallway.

The vampire standing at the door retreated repeatedly to avoid the sunlight, then very respectfully handed a cell phone to Lynn.

He took the phone and held it to his ear, but kept his other hand on the trigger, ready to fire at the slightest sign of the vampire's unusual movement.

Then he was met with a pure silver bullet!

"Lynn, it's me!"

Lynn Hall frowned as he heard James Duke's voice coming from the phone.

My guess was right; these European vampires really do have some connection with Hydra!

Without hesitation, Lynn Hall hung up the phone, threw it away, and took out his own phone to dial again.

After the call connected, James Duke spoke up: "Lynn, come back as soon as you catch that mutant. Someone just called me begging for help, and I can't refuse their request."

"Besides, things are a bit complicated in Europe, and it's not worth the FBI getting involved!"

"clear!"

Upon hearing what Director Duke said, Lynn Hall replied with one sentence and then hung up the phone.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Hall, we didn't expect Adam Morris to shoot you at that concert."

"Therefore, Adam has been repeatedly asking us to send him to a safer place, but we have consistently refused. Of course, in addition, our Nathaniel family is willing to offer you compensation, so please do not refuse!"

As he spoke, the vampire handed over a black card.

Lynn Hall did not accept the black card offered by the vampire.

"Please rest assured, this is simply some compensation we're offering to 'our own people,' and I'm sure Director Duke will be very happy to see it!"

Lynn Hall frowned upon hearing the vampire's words.

The phrases "one of our own" and "Director Duke" clearly tell Lynn that this is not simply a matter of the vampire family retaliating against the hunter family!

"And Chief of Staff Duke would be happy to see that?"

Does that mean that Duke actually knew about and tacitly approved of the terrorist attack at the New York concert?

No wonder James Duke, the director of the FBI in New York, showed no anger upon learning of the terrorist attack.

He also instructed himself to investigate the matter thoroughly at all costs.

And that newly appointed mayor of New York City, he was able to hold a solemn and elaborate mourning ceremony the day after the attack, as if it had been pre-arranged!

Oh..

After going around in circles, these people's ultimate goal is still themselves, even though they have already joined the "Brotherhood".

Perhaps this is their method of "guidance," a way to make themselves into true Hydra!

This black card in front of us is one of the methods they use to win people over!
