Harry Potter, the savior of Night City
Chapter 9 Memory Ball, Malfoy Gets a Beating
"Harry, you've gone too far this time," Dumbledore said earnestly to the nonchalant Harry in his office. "He's still a child."
"So I spared his life," Harry said, yawning.
The incident began in the morning. Today was flying class, a class that every freshman looked forward to. Harry was also looking forward to flying, as he had never experienced flying in Night City.
"Harry, our afternoon classes are together, aren't they?" Ron called out to Harry as he passed the Gryffindor table, and Harry sat down to chat with them.
Harry turned to look at them; Ron seemed excited, while Hermione looked a little nervous.
"Who came up with the idea of flying on a broomstick?" Harry asked, puzzled by the wizards' obsession with broomsticks. "Won't it hurt your skin?"
"Although the words are rough but the meaning is sound, your words are just too rough." Ron was speechless at this remark. Hermione's previous tension had vanished, and now she was torn between being speechless at Harry's words and pondering them. In the end, she chose to cover her face and give up thinking.
"Hey, look! My grandma sent me a memory orb. Whenever I forget something, I just squeeze it and it turns red." Neville's owl brought him a package, and he excitedly interrupted Harry and the others' conversation. But soon, his memory orb turned bright red.
Neville tried hard to recall what he had forgotten, while Ron whispered to Harry, "Obviously, this memory orb is useful, but not very useful." Harry looked at Neville's pajamas and nodded in agreement.
Flight is something that humans have been pursuing since the dawn of humanity. Humans invented flying machines, wizards invented brooms, and from this they developed a wizarding sport called Quidditch.
In the afternoon, they arrived at the flight course site, where Mrs. Hodge was already waiting. The flying brooms on the ground were neatly arranged in two rows.
Madam Huoqi had short, neat hair and hawk-like eyes that swept over all the students present. She then nodded and said, "Alright, stand in front of your brooms, one for each of you."
Harry stood in front of a worn-out broom, looking at it, which was probably bigger than the priest's oldest cross, and wondered if the thing could even fly.
"Alright, now, let it rise."
"Get up!" Harry shouted at it, and the broom sprang up from the ground and flew into Harry's hand. "Wow, this thing is pretty obedient."
Hermione's broom rolled on the ground, while Ron's flew wobbly into his hand. Only Draco and a few others were in the same situation as Harry.
Mrs. Hooch demonstrated to them how to ride the broom without slipping, and Harry straddled the broom, feeling as if an invisible cushion was supporting his bottom.
"Even wizards know about this problem," Harry thought. "I thought all the wizards who like to fly had some kind of magical cannon."
"Okay, now lean forward, push off with your legs, just a few feet up is enough, then fall back to the ground. Now, listen to my whistle, three, two, one, take off!" Mrs. Huo Qi blew her whistle loudly.
As a result, the boy in front of Harry took to the air the moment the whistle blew. Harry used the Tricky Master to zoom in and saw that it was Neville, probably because he was too nervous.
"Come down, child, come down!" Mrs. Hooch called from below, but Neville was a little too nervous. He flew straight into the sky, then slipped off the broom and fell to the ground.
"Poor child." Harry shook his head. The child could survive, but he would definitely break some bones. Falling from a height of six or seven meters without any protection, he could only pray that he didn't land on his head or spine.
"Bang!" A loud sound rang out, and Neville fell heavily to the ground. Mrs. Hodge rushed over to check on him.
"Her wrist is broken," Harry heard Mrs. Hodge whisper.
"Good luck," Harry said.
Mrs. Hooch turned to look at the others.
"I took the child to the school clinic, and nobody was allowed to touch the broom!"
After they left, a boisterous laugh rang out; it was Malfoy.
"Did you see what he looked like?" Malfoy mimicked Neville's fear, clutching his wrist, before bursting into laughter.
"Shut up, Malfoy," a Gryffindor girl snapped.
"Hey, no way, Petit, you actually like a crybaby? Hahaha." A girl standing next to Malfoy stepped forward. She was Pansy, and how should I put it, she looked like a poodle.
"Look here." Malfoy picked up the memory orb Neville had dropped on the grass. "That idiot's grandma gave it to him."
Harry covered his face with one hand. Unbelievable, absolutely unbelievable! This guy is the epitome of a corporate dog. Not only him, but most of the students in Slytherin are practically identical to corporate dogs. I never imagined that corporate dogs would still exist in 1991.
"Bring that thing here." Harry turned around and saw Ron, who was confronting Malfoy.
"You want to stand up for Longbottom, you little Weasley goblin?" Pansy chimed in from the side.
"You vicious lion dog, shut your mouth!" Hermione stepped forward, joining Ron in confronting them.
"That's like swearing in a spoiled way." Harry was shocked by the level of civilization of people in this era.
"Then come and get it." Malfoy mounted his broomstick, flew into the air, and held the Memory Orb in his hand. "Goblin, and... Mudblood."
"How dare you!" Ron glared angrily at Malfoy, preparing to mount his broomstick, when a hand stopped him. Ron turned around and saw it was Harry.
"I'll do it." Harry calmly watched Malfoy flying through the air, slung his broom over his shoulder, pulled his sleeves up behind his elbows, and his trousers up to his knees, revealing the four jet nozzles with reinforced tendons. With a powerful push of his legs, he soared into the air. Hermione shouted from below, "Don't do that! You'll get expelled!"
Harry ignored her, flew to the same height as Malfoy, and calmly looked at him. Malfoy was sweating profusely, his hands were trembling, and he didn't even dare to look Harry in the eye.
"I warned you, you little pup," Harry said, looking at Malfoy. "If you weren't a child, I wouldn't have let you live."
Malfoy immediately changed direction and flew towards the castle. Harry watched his back as he leaned on his broom, feeling as if he had been born knowing how to fly, a skill he possessed without any instruction.
Harry shot towards Malfoy like an arrow, quickly reaching him from behind. Sinwidstein activated, and everything nearly froze. He reached out, took the memory orb from Malfoy's hand, put it in his pocket, and deactivated Sinwidstein. Malfoy found the memory orb gone, paused in mid-air for a moment, and then felt a hand grab his head, pulling him off the broom.
"No, no, what are you doing? What are you doing? Murder is illegal!" Malfoy struggled frantically, but Harry held his head tightly. Harry flew towards the grassy area of the flying class, and when he was about two meters off the ground, he jumped off the broom and slammed Malfoy's face to the ground as a brake. Then he pulled Malfoy's face out of the ground and stared at his face.
"Puppy, the second time."
Then, in Malfoy's horrified eyes, his face covered in blood, Harry slammed his head against the ground, once, twice, before throwing him face down. The Mantis Knife sprang out, and Malfoy's swollen eyes widened. He crawled backward, trying to escape, but Harry's foot stepped on his back, and the Mantis Knife slowly pierced his collarbone.
"Ah! Ah!" A piercing scream echoed across the grass. Harry's technique was excellent; the mantis knife hadn't grazed any vital blood vessels.
"Harry, what are you doing!" Ron, Hermione, and some other Slytherins rushed over and witnessed the horrific scene. Ron immediately stepped forward to try and restrain Harry, and Hermione also came to help. The Slytherins quickly dragged Malfoy away. They saw Malfoy's disfigured face and looked at Harry in horror.
"You're finished! Malfoy's father is on the school board, you're definitely going to be expelled!" Pansy shouted at Harry.
Harry looked at her, then raised his hand and gave her the middle finger.
"Fuck you, you bitch!"
